Avoid this place. If they know what's the problem and easy to fix. Still they not fix in first time. And they come again to fix that and charges to you again for that visit 150$. Horrible experience.
Great place
A1 provided us with a new high efficiency natural gas burner and a new ductless air conditioning system 6 or 7 years ago. We were on a tight time frame and they were the only company responsive enough to meet our schedule needs. Sam coordinated the project and went out of his way to check our electric system configuration and capability. He also had his team reinforce our entryway stairs to assure they were strong enough for the weight of the old burner to be removed. He helped guide us through the complicated details and choices associated with the energy incentives available to us at that time. To sum up, Sam was very helpful and professional throughout the project, which gave us peace of mind. I would definitely, and without hesitation, recommend A1 services and especially Sam to manage and deliver a high quality priduct and service for any of your HVAC needs.
They give you a four hour window and after 3 1/2 hours I call they state he’s on his way I call 30 minutes later at the end of the four hour window and he still is not there then I am kept on hold. No one called to say he would be late or not coming at all. This company put in our air conditioning and heating systems in our complex because of the poor service no one uses them and I no longer will use them and I went somewhere else who gave me prompt service and not a four hour window!!
One stop shopping for quality service! Reasonable prices, very honest, clean and knowledgeable service technicians. I highly recommend A-1 Services!!!
I've been dealing with A-1 for years and have nothing but good things to say about them - but today they really outdid their already great record. Woke up at 5 AM freezing No heat called A-1, who arrived at 7 figured out what was wrong, drove all the way to to Middletown for a part, and had my heat back on before noon. These guys know exactly what they're doing and they waste no time doing it. Five stars !
I'm a senior citizen living alone. Called in with "no heat" emergency call. After an hour I had to call in again because of no response. Finally, 30 minutes after second call they called and told me they would not come out because of snow (there was less than 2 inches of snow and roads were in good shape). They did say they would call me in the morning to schedule an appointment but never called. I guess 24 hour emergency service means ... only if they feel like it.
Lucky to find Dave at A-1 Service over 15 years ago. They first fixed my air system when I first bought my house, understanding money was tight, they made quality repairs that should last years instead of selling a new unit. After the prior two companies recommended a full replacement. The AC has been working perfectly since their inexpensive repair. Also, with the AC you also get a full service on the heating system, which was very old and recommended replacement once it went. But be prepared it could last a week or a few years..Obviously, I passed on the expense to update the oil furnace. Sure enough, 14 months later in a massive cold wave the furnace went. Dave sent his A+ crew out and had it replaced in less than 24 hours. Since they serviced yearly the oil water heater, A/C and Furnace. A-1 is just that, superior service, attention to detail ate a very reasonable price. You will not be disappointed.

Really great experience with these guys. Fixed a problem quickly and gave me lots of information about how my system works, and took his time showing me the ropes. Highly recommended!
We called this place to service our A/C unit as it wasn't blowing cold air. They gave my girlfriend a hard time about the appointment being at 3:00pm so I left work early to meet them at our apartment. And waited. And waited. After half an hour I called and was told by Carlos the Sam was on the roof already. But why is the tech on the roof without even saying hello, I wondered. So I went up there and much to my surprise there was no one there. I went back to my apartment and no one was there. So I called again. Now the story has changed, Carlos tells me that Sam was with another client in the building. But why did you change my appointment without telling me? Need I remind you left work early to meet at the time you were so adamant about. Now I ask if they're going to do something for me for giving me the run-around or should I call someone else AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL SOMEONE ELSE. This is the worst experience and customer service I've had from any company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Don't get nervous, the A1 team destroys the competition on all you HVAC needs.
Turned on my central AC, and nothing happened. I called A-1, and told them I probably needed a new unit. They could have replaced my whole AC unit; I would never have known the difference. Instead they found a couple of frayed wires and a bee's nest. They cleaned the unit out, rewired it and it kicked right on...cost me $100! Awesome.
I had my furnace and air conditioning replaced by them. What a professional job they did. The technicians were so clean and neat . I would recommend them to everybody. And my heat works fantastic.
Stay away from this place. Poor customer service. The owner by the name of Dave is rude and extremely unprofessional. Worse mistake I made choosing this company to convert from oil to gas to heat my house. I'd avoid this place from my experience.
