Very professional and responsive.
Russ is fantastic; we called him out to get a quote on a propane furnace. We have an old central air conditioner and baseboard heaters. Russ gave us the quote, but encouraged us to keep our current AC and look for potential heating inserts for an existing fire place (pellet stove, gas, or wood insert) - keep in mind R&B does not install hearth products. We wound up not replacing the existing ac unit, and went to a local hearth company for an insert as it was the more economical decision. Any company that looks at your house and gives you an honest evaluation even though it does not make them money is one that puts their customers first and is worth their weight in gold. You had better believe I will be going with Russ and R&B when we eventually install a heat pump or need service on our existing AC. Their honesty and integrity is second to none.
We have been using R&B for the maintenance and replacement of our furnace since we moved into our house. Today it can be hard to find a company that is honest, trustworthy, and reliable. I am happy to say R&B is one of them and I am glad to be working with them. When we were having furnace issues, they were transparent about our options and did not try to immediately sell us on replacing it (which other companies did). When it came time to eventually replacing the furnace, we received a fair quote and a prompt installation. They actually expedited our installation because we had an infant in the house. I will continue to recommend them to anyone who asks for an HVAC company. They are an experienced and kind group of people.
Beyond happy with my experience! I have used R&B two times now and I am impressed start to finish. Ann in the office (I hope that's the right name) is great to work with! I enjoy my encounters with her. Each time I had service I had the pleasure of Kevin being my technician both times. Not only is he super friendly but he is very professional. He knows his stuff, very knowledgeable! Works hard and makes things happen and resolves the problems very smoothly. I highly recommend!
Great service. Called at the last minute and they worked to get me scheduled ASAP, which was on time (rare these days) and very professional. Huge shout out to Kevin, who was awesome... if I owned a business, I would want him representing me... that good! Highly recommended.
I left a voicemail requesting service as a new customer, they promptly called me back and came out within the hour and resolved the issue. Can't really ask for more than that.
R and B is the most amazingly responsive company. We use them for our home, but also as a realtor I’ve had to call upon them for several somewhat challenging jobs. They always come through.
Excellent first visit with their tech Brandon. He has excellent knowledge of Trane Heat Pumps. Diagnosed the problem right away.
This company is absolutely outstanding. We have used R&B for a few years now, and they have facilitated the replacement of our old AC units, and helped us replace them with the top of the line Trane units. They really are knowledgeable and do amazing work!!
We called them for an emergency service. I spoke with Anne. She was a delight. My husband, Herb, knew the owners because they are active in the philanthropic community. They care about the community AND their customers. Kevin came that day, they diagnosed and expedited the part and in less than two days, we were back in business better than ever. Thanks, Anne! I was completely impressed with R&B from day of survey and estimate to completion of new gas HVAC system. This winter has been comfortable and economical. Their crew were professional, polite and left my home immaculate! Can’t say enough good about this company. Highly recommend.
January is not a good time for your heat pump to stop working! I have to thank R&B for a job well done! From my initial phone call with Ann in the office who is personable & efficient. She scheduled Kevin to come out the next morning to assess our situation. We then met with Russ who educated us on replacement options & emailed quotes that afternoon. David & Pedro you were awesome, getting the new heat pump and air handler installed in just 1 day. You've got a great team at R&B.
So far, all is well in a cold New England winter. Personable service men who seemed to work efficiently and left the furnace area clean upon completion of the job.

R and B recently installed a new gas boiler in our home in Madison. They switched out the old oil burner to a high efficiency gas unit. Russ was a pleasure to work with, as was Rob, who after 26 years with the company is a real craftsman. His work with copper pipe is incredible. Ann, in the office kept us informed when needed, and was very helpful. I highly recommend R and B! PS: they’ll be installing a new air conditioning system for us in the Spring.

Great company to do business with. I own a deli in Madison called What's Cookin'. I use them for all my refrigeration and AC.
Highly recommend! We needed R&B to come twice this week for 2 unrelated problems on equipment that THEY DID NOT INSTALL and their teams were quick, friendly and very professional. They quickly found the problem and performed repairs almost immediately.
Emergency heating issue. They came out within an hour and had it back up and running in 30 minutes. Awesome Service!
We recently lost our heat and R&B came out immediately to diagnose and repair the issues. Brandon was efficient and very quick we were back up and running within an hour. I would highly recommend R&B.
A neighbor recommended R&B to me in July 2020 when I was having problems with my AC. One of my air handlers was shutting off because of a water problem; a second was struggling to cool its zone. I believed that I would have to replace both units and their outdoor condenser units but called R&B for a second opinion. I am extremely happy with the results of that service visit. Brandon was quick to diagnose the problems and correct them properly and quickly. My air is working much better now; Instead of buying a complete new system I’m now an R & B maintenance customer and whenever I really do need a new system I will look no further.
