I have been a Cromwell Energy customer for over 40 years. When it was time to replace my air conditioning units, I, without any hesitation, called them for an estimate. A quick response from their estimator and new systems were proposed, based on our budget and needs.the quote was accepted. Installation was done as scheduled. The staff was just wonderful. All the employees were very respectful of my property. They were very courteous and answered all of our questions. All packing materials were removed each day they were there and the new units were installed. A quick and very neat install. Could not have been happier with everything they did. Very positive and pleasant experience!
Thank you Cromwell Energy!! We are very happy with our new Furnace, A/C & water heater. We appreciate all the assistance in finding the best & most efficient solution for our needs. Jeff & Tom & crew did an excellent job; their prompt, thorough and courteous service made the whole process very manageable & I appreciate their patience with all my questions. I look forward to dealing with Cromwell Energy in the future and will be recommending them to my friends.
Kudos to Rich and the technicians at Cromwell Energy! The cost to replace our minisplit was reasonable, the service provided by the technicians was prompt, friendly and efficient. We are fairly new to this area and we've replaced our central AC unit and now our minisplit w/ Cromwell Energy and we are very pleased w/ both jobs!
Cromwell Energy, Inc. recently upgraded our heating from oil to gas. Our house is approximately 86 years old! The Cromwell Energy, Inc team came in and gave us an appropriate estimate of the work we needed to get done. They came in and measured each cast iron heater to ensure that our home would be properly heated. On the paperwork end they were timely and responsive. When they came in to do the work they work efficiently and were able to get us heat and hot water in a day. They also cleaned up the spaces they used. We are incredibly happy with the services we received from Cromwell Energy, Inc. Thank you!
The office staff and technicians were very friendly and professional. Prompt service. I highly recommend Cromwell Energy.
While their service was prompt and their technicians were competent their charges are questionable. They charged me for a service call on top of parts and separate additional labor charges. I find this excessive when it took the technician under 5 minutes to diagnose the problem. Most firms when they do the work they diagnose will waive their service fees or apply it to the bill. Spoke to their manager who demonstrated zero flexibility or good will to ensure customer satisfaction. Disappointed to say the least.

Cromwell Energy, Inc. has replaced our heating residential boiler recently in Middletown, CT. The previous one was over 25 years old with open fire burner and inefficient. The new boiler, recommended by the Company is a cast iron, workhorse equipment made in USA. Installation of the new and dispose of the old was done smoothly by the crew of four. After half a day I could enjoy the brand new heating system, which is quiet, efficient and reasonably priced. Thank you guys!
The team at Cromwell are great. We've been using them for about 5 years now, thankfully with only a couple of emergency calls, including late at night. They've also replaced our oil tank and done other preventative maintenance. They are quick to respond, down to earth, quality work, and priced reasonably! They also provide our oil along with our boiler service contracts. I like that they have a small town feel, every time I call the office Roni answers and is so helpful. No complaints.
My a/c unit recently broke and I made a decision to replace the a/c condenser and furnace based on both being over 20-years-old. I sought quotes from 3 HVAC contractors of which Cromwell Energy ended being my final choice. Rich Drapeau was the main person I dealt with, who came to my home to review the setup and provide an estimate. He was professional, courteous and provided follow-up answers from questions I had based on interviewing the other contractors. This also included available manufacturer rebates and EnergizeCT rebates. I was able to negotiate what I felt was a competitive price and get the most updated energy efficient equipment, as well as Ecobee wi-fi smart thermostats installed. A four-man crew came the following week and they did a great job installing everything, were courteous, clean and finished in a day. Having pulled a permit, the town inspector came in afterwards and everything was properly installed, as well as the inspector commenting he has found Cromwell Energy being a very reputable and honest HVAC contractor he has worked with. I highly recommend Cromwell Energy and the American Standard a/c condenser and furnace they installed. I also will be using them for annual maintenance of the units. Rich and the install team (plus Samantha handling some the office paperwork) are a great to deal with, and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience and of course the competitive price.
Friendly and reliable...and they actually answer their telephone calls unlike other competitors in the area.
Cromwell Energy is the best!!! Keith and Eric were truly great replacing my air in the middle of this heat wave!! They also let me use some window units to get me through till they could come. I would highly recommend them, lots of integrity, hard workers, always on time, and explained everything perfectly. My dog Jaxon loved them and agrees LOL.
I have used Cromwell Energy for the last 4 years. Each and every time I have had nothing short of an EXCEPTIONAL experience. Everyone - from the actual human you speak to on the phone to the people coming to the house for service requests - are patient, knowledgable, friendly, and fair. I highly recommend Cromwell Energy!
Cromwell energy is amazing! Our air conditioning system died in the middle of the summer. They came out the next day to keep it alive enough until we could get the HVAC system replaced. The replacement was done in a day, the office staff and technicians were professional abs communicative. They showed me what they were doing and how everything worked. We will absolutely be working with them in the future and for maintenance on our new system.
We've happily been customers of theirs for years. The office manager, Ronnie, is terrific. We've had several Technicians install new equipment and perform maintenance, and they've all been great.
I highly recommend Cromwell Energy, Inc, they were able to fit us into their schedule within a day of my call for help. They sent Keith out to see our AC unit that had stopped working. He arrived punctual, did a diagnostic, was super knowledgeable, explained all he was doing, was professional, made helpful recommendations and did very neat work. We are up and running. Been a customer for more than 40 years, always satisfied with yearly maintenance and any emergency service. Just installed new oil tank and boiler. Work was expertly performed. Staff always polite and helpful. Can't go wrong using Cromwell Energy.
Cromwell Energy INC recently replaced our furnace & hot water heater with a combination unit of both. Rich was very helpful in explaining system to me as well as setting up installation date. Roni, Secretary is always very pleasant on the phone & in person. Technicians were very professional, pleasant & very clean with the job they did. Cromwell Energy also replaced a new A/C unit for us a couple of years ago.Cromwell Energy is the only company I would use & highly recommend them. Sincerely , Beverly Sipala.
If I could do 10 stars I would. What an amazing service team they have at Cromwell Energy. I called based on a referral because my current service provider could not support and resolve the problem. Knowing I was without heat, Cromwell Energy came out the next day assessed the situation and attempted to locate the part. The following morning, Lou followed up with me informing me the part will not be available for some time but he had a creative solution to fix the system with some universal parts and get my family out of the cold. It was a success and my heat jumped from 51 degrees to 68 degrees in no time. Cromwell Energy has a new customer starting today! Thanks to Lou, Roni and the whole team knowing the urgency of this situation and helping us out.
I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to work with this great company! I have been a customer for 22 years - ALWAYS happy with their service and staff. Recently they just converted my heat from oil to Natural Gas. The crew was amazing, even removed my old oil tank in 1 piece up through the basement stairs since I don't have a hatchway. They removed the tank and gave me a few days to paint the wall behind it before coming back to mount the new system. The guys worked so well together, everyone knew what they needed to do! They were quiet, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They then explained to me how the new system works. I HIGHLY recommend them!
