Buyer beware. Paid $12,000 for 3 split units with 12 year warrenty. One unit was installed wrong and constantly clogs/drips all over house! They charged $200 first time to fix it and said it wasn’t covered under the warrenty. I’ve called multiple times to get them to fix it, but no luck! Dear County Wide, if you see this review and want to do the right thing, I’d be happy to remove it. Otherwise, good luck with your high pressure sales and worthless warranties! Sincerely, Hugh

I contacted County Wide for an estimate to replace my oil steam boiler. The old boiler died in the middle of the coldest days in January 2022. The rep said someone would return my call. I waited a day and I did not receive a call so I called again. On the second call, I was asked if I needed financing. I replied no. I am still waiting for a return call to schedule an estimate. lol I had to give 1 star, but this company deserves 0 stars.

Currently customer service has a lot to be desired recently. Took 2 phone calls just to get a maintenance service appointment. All because i was supposed to get a call back 2 weeks ago. Update: 2/15/2022 supposed to have a 9 am appointment today as of 9:50 am, no show and no call.

NO, DO NOT USE COUNTY WIDE if you can use anyone else DO IT. I wished I could give no stars. Upon County Wide's recommendation we had our furnace replaced. six months later (while furnace was still under warranty) it was having a difficult time maintaining the heat in our home (would not get above 63 degrees). We requested and they sent out a technician, twice. Both times He stated that the system was running perfectly and that we needed to replace our windows. When I stated that the circulatory pump was on 24/7 he stated that was how it should be and when questioning that one zone would not activate furnace, again he stated that was how it was and that we needed to replace our windows. For the next 3 days I tried to have them send out another technician since the problem was not corrected and they would not return my call even when I requested to speak to the owner several times. I finally out of frustration called a different company (Superior) and they came out and with in a few minutes diagnosed a faulty (under warranty) circulatory pump that was blocking the signal from the thermostat. They replaced the faulty pump and As a result I now have heat. As a side note the other company charged me 130 dollars less (while getting me a new pump) than county wide and fixed the problem. I have also contacted Better Business

This is the third repair that I've had them handle for me. They are always so professional and responsive. Recently, Lex fixed a leak in my baseboard heater. He explained everything to me before doing the work. He also showed me where the shutoff values are on my furnace. I highly recommend their services.

Terrible service, on many levels. I waited nearly a month for an estimate to replace parts for the AC. Then after several reminder phone calls, I scheduled service and no one showed up. When I called the office, the secretary told me she forgot to schedule the appointment in the system when we spoke a couple of weeks earlier. I rescheduled, and the man who showed up knew nothing about why he was there. He did not have the equipment needed for the job. I called the office and was told the owner would call me back soon. The repairman went outside to speak to the office staff, and then just left. No one has reached out to me since. So unprofessional, and complete disregard for my time. Please do not waste your time with this company.

I give this company one of the highest recommendations! The service and installation services provided by this company were superb. The installers were efficient, clean and so professional. I truly am very impressed and satisfied with the products and service provided by this company. Kudos out to Jerry and Nick for doing such a great job!

I chose this company only because I was able to get an earlier date for repair. This was the second repair needed since the initial install. During the first repair, my bulkhead doors were left wide open for 2 days (I don’t often go in my basement). This past time, one of the repair techs called another installer 5 or 6 different times for the next thing to try. During the time for which I was charged, they also had to run to Home Depot to get more fuses. If I had to ask someone for help with my job 5 different times in a 3-hour period, I don’t deserve to have a job and get paid $250 an hour. I am very disappointed with the service provided by this company. I called 4 different times to speak to the manager and each time I was “assured” he would get back to me. That was over a month ago. It’s clear the person in charge doesn’t hold his employees accountable, nor does he even hold himself accountable.

Called after hours cause our central air system stopped working on one of the hottest days. Isaiah arrived listened to our concerns, promptly diagnosed the issue and fixed it, including a clean out and described everything to us all through the process. Thank you Isaiah! We will be calling and recommending him to come in the near future for regular service.

We STRONGLY do NOT recommend this company. We called countywide to assess air flow due to one room not receiving any. They came out and "fixed" the problem, which included making a hole in my ceiling and chipping the paint in my newly painted nursery. No clean up. And the problem was not resolved, $350 later. We called again for them to come back because the "service they performed" did nothing. We were required to pay another dispatch fee of $100 for them to come out and tell us there was nothing else they could do. After speaking with the sales manager, it was decided that he would credit us back for the second dispatch fee. After 3 weeks of not receiving the credit, I call and call only to be told this agreement was not noted in the system and the sales manager does not remember this conversation. The owner, who refused to speak with me, decided she was not going to honor the credit. Zero professionalism. Total lack of integrity.

Max did routine maintenance on my AC/Heat Pump and he was extremely professional and informative as he also provided me an overview of the work being done in real time. I will be asking for Max in the future, he was awesome! Highly recommended.

Be careful they are very quick to come out to your property but everything in between is a struggle. I've attempted to deal with them 2 times now. 1st time was for a water heater issue. They quoted me $1800 for the job and went I went to get a 2nd opinion it was a $300 fix and County wide didn't even diagnose the right problem. The 2nd time I had started the process to get Mitsubishi splits put into my house through the EngergizeCT heating loan program. It took them 3 weeks to get me an appropriate quote (Should have been a give away) I turned around all of the documents within days for the loan. When following up with them over the paper work for the loan they lied repeatedly about doing the documents on their end. I had to call the loan company just to find out if County wide had completed the paper (which they hadn't). Furthermore the hadn't even told me that I didn't get approved for the full amount of the loan which is something I should know if I have to pull out an additional 10k from the bank. I had asked to speak to the owner 10+ times with no avail. I've been lied to, ignored, and pushed off. I'm very patient with contractors until I'm not. They are over booking clients and not following through with paperwork. I'm very disappointed.

Just overall incredible customer service & on site professionalism. I live in Cromwell & had a gas range hook up that we suddenly discovered needed to be moved in the middle of a kitchen cabinet install, because the cabinet guys messed up their measurements. The ladies at County Wide Mech. we’re so sympathetic & immediately worked with me to schedule a technician to come out the next day, everyone else I called was going to take a week to come. Then they ended up having a guy finish a job nearby early and had him come out same day! Isaiah the technician showed up 30 minutes later, he was so gracious & efficient, he moved the line with no problem, double checked everything to make sure it was all working properly, and was on his way in 30 minutes. Phenomenally fast & easy service, I’ll be using them for every gas/plumbing issue for as long as I live in the area. Nothing short of magical how quickly they were able to get the job done. I can not thank them enough!

Isaiah provided excellent service at our home yesterday. He listened to our problem, looked at the systems and explained our options to me and my husband. We asked questions. He showed us where the problems were and what he would do. We decided to have all the work done and he proceeded and completed the work within 2 hours. We are now comfortable. Isaiah also explained future work we can do on our furnace system to provide humidity. He will provide that information so we can make a decision. Isaiah also suggested an easier-to-read thermostat for us. His service was definitely 5 star. Thank you.

Not happy at all. When I made the appointment, I told them that my system was leaking, and that’s why it doesn’t work. They told me they would add refrigerant if needed. Once they came and looked at the system, charged me over $300 and said they can not give me any refrigerant because my system is too old, need to replace. They didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. The appointment was a complete waste of time and money.

Thursday May 13Nick and Kendell installed a new central air conditioner. The two installers were very polite and knowledgeable about their trade. When they finished the job I was very pleased. Would recommend this company for the workmanship and high caliber of the employees. Thanks again County Wide Mechanical. Have a great day guys. The next day Max there tech came and replaced 11 year old thermostat with a Honeywell T 4 Pro. Also set it up quickly and works great. Again thank you County Wide Mechanical for employees who are prompt and knowledgeable about the trade.

These people will try to take advantage of you. I asked for a quote for a dryer vent cleaning and they said it would be $250. Two. Hundred. And Fifty. Dollars. This service take 30 minutes at the most, and literally involves sticking a vacuum down a pipe, and maybe brushing it out. Unreal. The only reason I asked was because I had to get a receipt that it had been done for my condo association so I can't do it myself. Absolutely floored.

It’s very hard to find a good hvac contractor. You need trustworthiness, responsiveness and competence. A good contractor is two of the three. We’ve had to settle for one of the three in the past. For this job we needed all three. Luckily, we found Tom at countywide. Tom is a technician (install, troubleshoot, repair, etc) who came through for us - on a snowy Sunday afternoon, no less. He was thorough, knowledgeable and incredibly dedicated to solving a vexing issue others couldn’t resolve. He truly went above and beyond for us. Honestly, we can’t thank him enough! Also, a shout out to the back office at countywide. They stand by their promises.
