I wish I had read the reviews of this company before I engaged them. The plumber showed up, looked at the problem and said a part was missing, something I had already told him. He looked at a water filtration system for 10 minutes and said he didn't know how to fix it, BS'd for 20 minutes about Denver Water and then sat in his car for 10 minutes writing an invoice. He then came to my garage and presented a bill for $250. As one review said "use at your own risk." I would simply say- do not do business with this company.
Reliable and cheap
I had a faucet problem in my bathtub, which had a Moen fixture which are very difficult to replace and repair. We walked into the shop, and Roy assisted us with a tremendous amount of patience, and knowledge regarding how to alleviate our issues. I would highly recommend this plumbing service. They are very professional, kind and knowledgeable.
Had our main water shut off leaking and needing to be replaced called Bill Smith had great communication with the office person and they were able to fit us into the schedule. The plumber showed up on time and was super friendly and made quick work of our repair/replacement. He came prepared with all tools and parts and got straight to work. Pricing is great with this company as well quality work for a quality price. We will use them again for our plumbing needs for sure.
Came out to evaluate my system for free, which was great. The gentleman was friendly and knowledgable and seemed honest, and said he would "send out a specialist, because he couldn't give me an accurate estimate." (He is one of the stars in this 2-star review.) Then, they 100% ghosted me. No call, no response to my calls, nothing. If a company doesn't want my business at this stage, they should at least be able to say no, not just disappear. It is too bad, because they came highly recommended and I was really looking forward to working with them.
I had a leaking water heater that was giving up, so it was time to replace it. My AC condensation was leaking into my furnace as well. I called my plumber of 20+ years, but he was getting too old (as am I) to haul the water heater out of the basement so he recommended Bill Smith plumbing. I gave them a call, got a quote, and scheduled the replacement and repair. I couldn't be more pleased with the way they were careful with my home. They covered their shoes and put down a protective cover on the floor and carpet in the basement, then got to work. In a short period of time, the water heater was replaced and the AC drainage repaired and has been working great. Everybody involved is very professional and competent. I will continue to use them in the future.
Recently Charles G. with Bill Smith Plumbing fixed my bath faucet. He was courteous, professional, tidy, time efficient and he even gave me a coupon discount before I asked for it! Bill Smith has been my go to for any plumbing and or heating repair needs for 15+ yrs! I highly recommend them!
Buyers beware…there is a reason they only have 4 stars…. If I could give Bill Smith Plumbing and Heating less than 1 star I would without hesitation! I scheduled an HVAC install appointment with their service guy, Lane, over two weeks ago only to wake up with a phone call the day of the appointment from Crystal to tell me that “we don’t do that kind of work” and a referral to some one else who ,by the way, doesn’t work on the weekends. I even called yesterday and confirmed the appointment with Paul who said we’ll be there from 3-5pm on Sat! When I called to speak with them today I reached Ben who didn’t know anything and acted like yeah “we suck”!!! I asked to speak with the owner Roy and Ben was not interested in bothering him today about this issue. Absolutely terrible customer service!!!
No pricing transparency! Dripping drain cap which was repaired in 5 seconds with a rubber gasket which the repairman found next to my pipe valve....was charged $115 which I was then informed is the minimal fee. This minimal fee was not disclosed prior to the visit. I had believed it was a visit for a free repair estimate as I had also scheduled Southside Plumbing and Plumbline to come by as well in order for me to comparative shop what I thought would be an expensive repair (which it turned out it was). Bill Smith Plumbing happened to be the quickest to schedule (which was good) but their pricing transparency was horrible...Beware!!
Prompt, professional and cost came in under estimate. Dylan was wonderful. Scheduling was easy. No wonder they have been in business 40+ years. Highly recommend.
Couple weeks ago our water pipe busted and flooded our basement. We called bill smith plumbing towards the end of the day and they sent a technician out right away. The technician, Dylan, arrived within 30 min. He was professional and very skilled. He found the busted pipe right away and only had to cut less than 2 square foot into our dry wall. He fixed the broken pipe within the estimated time and gave us recommendations for what to do/not to do to help prevent similar issues in the future. We’re not experienced with pricing but it seemed very reasonable for the amount of work done and urgency of request. We’re so thankful to have found bill smith plumbing and will be using them for any future work needed.

Sean did a FANTASTIC job replacing my water meter yoke! I will be using Bill Smith pluming from now on! Fair pricing too! Another company wanted to charge me $1100 for a three hour job, Bill Smith was less than half that! Professional service all around!

I tried to get information from Bill Smith plumbing on running a gas line to a fire pit. The receptionist was impatient with me and that I ask her the same questions. I wasn’t quite grasping what she was saying. So I ask for the manager letting him know that I thought she was rude on how she handled my conversation with her. He clearly didn’t like that I was complaining about his “stellar” employee... All he did was defend her. He made statements like” well she’s very good at what she does” she could practically run the company” never did he say what I expected. For example, “ I’m sorry you had difficulty with her, we will be able to answer your questions. As a consumer, you want to deal with friendly understanding companies. Not companies that defend their rude employees. I’ll go elsewhere.
They are very good. Let be the lady plumber.
Needed to have the hot and the cold valves replaced in my shower upstairs as well as downstairs. Previous company only replaced the gaskets about 3 years ago and they started to fail which caused the valves to drip when they were shut off. Lose her came out and replace them and recaulked around me hot and cold. Luther spent the time to explain my options and I decided to go with replacing the valves versus replacing the entire unit. Price comparison is well within other companies estimates. Bill Smith has also replace my hot water heater and put in surge protectors as I had too much water pressure coming into the house from the main. Overall I'm very pleased with the work that Bill Smith does.
I have exclusively used Bill Smith for more than 30 years. They are wonderful from initial contact to job completion. Prices are competitive and there is a senior discount They have repaired, replaced and provided general maintenance for all my plumbing and heating needs. The technicians are knowledgeable and explain everything soI can understand what needs to happen. They are so careful and thorough! Cleanup is perfect. Most importantly, the technicians are pleasant and honest. I highly recommend Bill Smith !
