I chose this company for the 5 star reviews. It was VERY disappointing. They offer $49 a year "membership" that unfortunately I have chosen to forfeit because of their dishonesty. As soon as the technician came in I knew something was off. I asked my husband if he trusts him - as he is super intuitive - he said no. He went downstairs and was with him the whole time and ask the technician he wanted a HONEST transaction because he felt his dishonesty. The technician said hair - which was little - was the reason for our motor to keep shutting down. And he needed to replace a little pilot. My husband found later on that little pilot cost on Amazon $10. He charged us $350 and took him 20 min to install and test. That is not the worse part. I was told by him that I would get $50 coupon which would put me in paying $300. He charged $350 and when I reached out to his supervisor he first told me, that he was sure I was charged $300, when I insisted, he verified indeed I was charged $350 and then he proceeded to say, "Are we really arguing over $50?"!!!! Also the technician tried to tell me I needed to replace the motor in the furnace which would have been $1850 or so. And then he said, if you are going to do that might as well change the whole furnace..."It is only $8050", he said. My husband looked for the cost of the motor and found it at $300 and the time that would take to install it would be the same, 20min. Obviously this company do not care about the money they charge, about the money of their customers and it is incredibly dishonest. They can keep the $49 for the year I AM NOT PLANNING TO GO BACK TO THEM. This is a HARD PASS.
Have had nothing but good experiences with this company. They are always quick to respond and their service is excellent. My AC unit broke, and they came out within a day of calling them, which was very impressive! I would definitely recommend them!

Big Star Heating and Cooling's technician was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and he thoroughly explained all of the work that was being done on my air conditioner and furnace, as well as tips on how to maintain the equipment and get the best performance from the systems. With regards to servicing and cleaning, he went above and beyond. This service company comes highly recommended from me.

I continue to use Big Star Heating and Cooling for all of my heating and cooling needs. They are dependable and the customer service I receive if always first class. Just replaced an AC unit and installers, Robert and his friend, were fantastic. They were on time, clean and did a great job. Once again, fully satisfied with them.
Robert from Big Star Heating and Cooling was great! He detected the problem with our AC and fixed it quickly! He then inspected the whole system to confirm that all was well. He showed me on the camera that the heat exchange unit was cracked no longer safe. He replaced it and we were very pleased with his service. Recommended!!
Dealing with Big Star Heating and Cooling staff on the phone was easy and pleasant. Paul was comradely and skilled, but most importantly was reliable. We reasoned we had found the right people to install our new furnace. The real installation was done within the time that was appointed. The rates were very sensible!!!
