Sean and the Fusion Star team are the real deal. Prompt, efficient. Living in the valley with temps regularly hitting 100+ they’ve done a great job keeping our home cool. Can’t recommend enough.

Sean is meticulous, professional, timely, and basically everything you could ask for from a hvac company. He and his squad replaced a very bad installation on time and in budget, and ever since, has been immediately responsive and available as needed. I can't recommend him and Fusion higher.

Fusion Star is by far the best HVAC contractor we have ever found and is one of best contractors of any type we have hired to work on our home. At a neighbor’s recommendation, we included Fusion Star among the firms we considered when we decided to replace our HVAC system. Our meeting with Fusion Star’s owner Sean, together with his reasonably priced replacement proposal, quickly established Fusion Star as the best candidate. Sean is very knowledgeable, helpful, and detail oriented; he spots potential problems in advance and offers constructive solutions. Fusion Star’s work crew arrived on the agreed starting date for the project and finished it in less than the estimated time, despite a heat wave. They thoughtfully provided a portable AC unit to cool part of the house for us while they worked. Sean discussed the work with us as it proceeded and passed savings along to us when he found items at a better price than his original estimate. His crew carried out the project in a very responsible manner: when they found unanticipated problems, they resolved them in a reasonable and professional way. The quality of the finished installation was very high. After the project was completed, Sean provided us a training session regarding the new system, together with a set of photos and records documenting the project and information about possible rebates. Overall, our view is that Fusion Star is one of those rare gems one occasionally finds among Los Angeles contractors.

Sean and his team are fantastic. They installed a complete new HVAC system in our home. Sean spent a lot of time walking us through our options and ensuring that we're comfortable with the work done and the final product. I can't recommend Fusion Star more. They're honest, dependable and take incredible pride in their work. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

My home needed a complete rip and replace for two systems. Sean took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and executed flawlessly. He even talked me out of a couple of systems that he knew would not accomplish my goals. His attention to detail and quality was exactly what he said it would be. Strongly recommend this company if you're looking for an honest assessment of needs, attention to detail and great execution. After a two week almost seamless demo and replacement of my 32 year old systems and ducts, everything worked great. However while doing the quality control walking through the installed systems, Sean found a couple of things that we're perfect. They were quickly corrected and I remain very impressed.

Sean is an absolute GOAT (greatest of all time). He responded to my inquiry within a few minutes and made it out the next day to inspect my HVAC system. He is extremely knowledgeable and overall a genuinely good person. His initial hypothesis of what was wrong with my equipment was spot on and he was so patient with me in explaining the issue and describing all my options. We replaced both the indoor and outdoor unit with the most appropriate equipment to fit my needs; massive shoutout to Sean for the excellent recommendation! Best of all he made everything work around my availability and even had everything up and running ahead of schedule; a real life saver! Additionally, he has an exceptional team at his side; a group of very experienced and hard working individuals. Sean and his team far exceeded all my expectations. I highly encourage collaborating with Sean for all your HVAC needs!

This review is long overdue. Simply put Sean did an outstanding job on the installation of a Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system. His quality of work and attention to detail are second to none. I've never seen a contractor prepare such a detail written scope of work and estimate. For my job, I literally had a detailed 10 page written estimate and scope of work. The scope of work covers exactly what Sean will do - there is no guess as to what is covered or not covered. As far as workmanship and attention to detail, Sean completely surpassed my expectations. My particular job was difficult in that the existing roof mounted AC unit and ducting was replaced with a ducted Mitsubishi mini-split system. Complicating the matter is my crawl space is very tight and part of the house has a flat roof. While challenging, Sean was able to not only duct the entire system through the existing crawlspace, he cleaned out the crawl space, insulated it, and then installed "catwalks" with lighting in order to service the units. Simply amazing. The other thing about Sean is that he schedules the annual maintenance for the units and it's like clockwork, and of course if you have any issues with system Sean is always ready to address it. In summary, if you need to replace your AC system, you should absolutely give him a call - you will not regret it!!

We needed to replace the ductwork in our two-story house. I talked to several other companies before choosing Fusion Star to do the work. Sean inspected our HVAC system thoroughly and provided several very detailed options. He answered all my questions and I was impressed with how much care he took to address each issue. We chose the option which involved reconfiguring the system with larger ducts and moving the furnace so that the heat and air would be distributed more efficiently throughout the house. Fusion Star also installed a new energy-efficient air conditioner, two zones, and Ecobee thermostats. The workers were always professional and polite, wore masks, and they protected the floors and left the house immaculate at the end of each day. They expertly patched the walls where needed and installed new registers and an access door that all look great. The difference between the old system and new system is like night and day and there are no longer rooms in the house that don't get enough heat or air conditioning. Each room is at a comfortable temperature, and that's been very important with everyone working from home. I highly recommend Fusion Star.

I contacted Fusion Star as part of a in-law unit remodel, which included updating the furnace and AC unit. The end result is better than I expected, thanks to Sean's ability to suggest the best solution to my problem, vs just being an order taker, as well as high quality execution. I initially expected we'd need to change the furnace and AC unit in a like-for-like switch (because they were vey old), and redo all the duct work (because of the new configuration of the rooms due to the remodel). Sean politely suggested an alternative for me to consider, which was to go with a heat pump and splits. He was very upfront with me that the option was a little more expensive to implement (though cheaper to run in the long term), and helped me think through the pros and cons of doing this vs. doing a like for like replacement of the legacy system. I could tell he was really trying to get in my shoes to figure the best option for me. I opted for the newer technology and couldn't be happier with it. As a bonus, the new system takes a lot less space than the old one so I recouped some living space. Additionally, Sean and crew do very good work. Sean personally inspected every stage and ensured everything was not only to code, but also looked perfect. Last but not least, you can tell Sean really cares for his customers. For example, while he could have just paid attention to his part of the project, he observed what we were doing with the remodel and offered some suggestions based on his vast experience with home projects. They were always great ideas that made us think "why didn't we come up with that idea on our own???" Thank you Sean and Fusion Start crew. I have your number saved in my contacts for any future needs!

I can’t say enough GREAT things about Sean and Fusion Star. An HVAC company that is trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable and conscientious! The first thing you realize upon meeting Sean is how intelligent he is and how much he understands his field. As a homeowner, I am not an expert in this area, but Sean is. A word about scheduling: both times we needed Sean’s help, it was for emergency reasons. Naturally he has plenty of jobs scheduled in advance, but Sean worked some magic and was able to fit us in over the course of partial days so that we didn’t have to wait a couple of weeks for him to have time. We are so thankful to him for doing this. Additionally, one time when a repair didn’t go quite as planned, Sean cut short a vacation just to come back and help us out during a particularly hot Valley week. I mean, who does this? Just wonderful. We have used Sean for two different AC units/furnaces in our home. Our first experience was when one furnace stopped working. Sean and his amazing crew had to work in our very difficult attic space. While they were there, Sean realized our ducting was too small for our upstairs, so no wonder it never really got cool! He fixed this issue, and many others, and now our upstairs is cool, even with very high ceilings. Our second AC unit was old, but functioning, when our furnace stopped working. He replaced everything at the same time (instead of piece mealing it as items failed) and things are working better than ever before. Quieter, faster, and more efficiently. Sean is great at explaining the workings of these pieces of equipment so that you select items that work as opposed to overworking. I literally can’t say enough great things about Sean and his wonderful crew of talented guys. He better never retire!!!!!

AC Repair – there is a huge gradient of HVAC installers out there and you really need to do a lot of research and ask questions before settling on an installer. In my case, I had a 35-year-old house and the Furnace was about 15 years old: AC was older. The Compressor died and it was not cost effective to just replace the condenser. The ducting needed serious attention (2600 sq. foot, 2 story house). I had quotes as low as $7k for just changing the AC/Compressor (using the existing furnace) to $26k for a complete HVAC replacement. After talking to a number of installers, I quickly learned that some did a thorough job explaining what work needed to be done. Some suggested solutions that were code violations. Others provided only partial quotes AC replacement (didn’t even go into the attic to look at the system). Some quoted a 6 hour install and some quoted that it would take a week or so. I selected Fusion Star because after talking with Sean, I had a high confidence in their ability to professionally execute the installation. I asked a lot of questions and talked about various alternatives. Sean answered each question with a depth of knowledge that was very impressive. Additionally, he was able to clearly articulate the pro’s and con’s of each alternative. Fusion Star was also knowledgeable and helpful about Energy Rebate programs and helped to select a system that earned us a $1.3k rebate from SCE. We also upgraded our ducting system to increase the overall effectiveness of the HVAC system. We also zoned the upper and lower sections of the house. To be clear, Fusion Star is not the least expensive installer out there. That being said, confidence in a contractor will give you peace of mind and reduce your overall stress. The job was completed on time and on budget. As with any installation, the are a few bugs to work out and Sean has been on top of any issue in a timely manner. As a side note, if you get a permit the installation will need to be

Our A/C broke just as it started to get hot, nightmare! We contacted a number of HVAC companies for bids - Sean visited and spent over an hour with us investigating the current system, showing us how we could keep it limping along until we were able to book in an install, and working out what a replacement should actually look like. We didn't directly discuss the other bids, but in his visit Sean showed us a number of problems with our AC intake and ducts which the other companies had glossed over. Quick research showed he was absolutely right, and we'd have spent a lot of money with other companies replacing our HVAC to still have it run inefficiently. We were worried about having the work done because of the infection risk from Covid, but it was almost summer in LA with a young baby, so there was no option but to fix things and stay cool. Sean and his team were incredibly careful, wore masks at all times and kept as much distance as possible. They were extremely friendly and professional, I always knew when they were showing up, what they were working on and what was left to do. They even tried to keep noise down to a minimum to help our baby nap. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fusion Star. They are not the cheapest option, but if you need major work done it's always best to hire professionals who are willing to spend the time to get things right rather than a company looking to get paid and get out.

Sean and his crew are extremely professional, clean and very knowledgeable. We live in a 96 year old house. Our 20 plus year old furnace was working but was not very efficiently. We have put off replacing it until we finally decided to install AC. Sean did an assessment of our home, measured each room, calculated how many registers and what size each room required to effectively heat and cool the space. We met on several occasions to discuss our budget, how many zones we wanted, what brands he suggested for our needs, where would we install the registers in each room and the outdoor equipment, etc. We settled on a Mitsubishi 3 zone system. One zone for my mother in law's suite, one for the rest of the first floor and one for the entire second floor. The install was performed flawlessly and in an extremely timely manner. Sean's attention to details is very impressive. He really strives for perfection in every aspect of the job. He does not believe in short cuts. Sean is as much concerned with the aesthetics of the install as he is with the mechanical aspects. He figured a way to run all the lines to the unit in the attic through one of the unused old ducts so we have no mechanical lines running up the outside of the house to the attic. The install ran into a small communication problem with one of the units, it was working but not to Sean's satisfaction. He made countless phone calls to the Mitsubishi reps until he was given a solution he was satisfied with. The inspection was unusual in that the first inspector was not familiar with our system (relatively new product line) and really didn't understand how it worked. So, he return a few days later with his supervisor to complete the inspection. The supervisor was so impressed with the installation he pulled me aside and told me he usually does not comment on the installation it self to the homeowner but in this case he had to express this was one of the cleanest installs he had personally seen. Had an issue with my ducting. One of my rooms was not cooling off properly so had them come out and see what was going on. Turns out my ducking was extremely old and was actually shut off to the room. Since he was able to show me the condition of the ducts and all the disgusting hair and particles that where living in my ducts I decided to replace them. They where able to come out the same week and get it done quickly since it was so hot outside. I felt very thankful to the guys working in my addict when I know it was 100+ degrees up there. Overall really please with my experience.

I first met Sean when I needed an inspection done on a house I was considering purchasing, and was very impressed with his professionalism (dealing with an incredibly arrogant and rude developer/seller) and received a very detailed report from him extremely quickly. He also followed up as the sale went through and made sure I knew I could call any time with any questions - as the inspection had shown various issues that would need remedying in the future. Sean made a note to follow up in six months, and that's exactly what he did! Luckily the follow up call came just as we started to have some hot weather - as the mini split unit in the Master bedroom was not working (not fitted correctly by the developer) and was leaking coolant. I decided to bite the bullet and replace the cheap noisy thing altogether, and replace it with a better system, and to have it placed on a different wall. Sean's quote was very reasonable, and included patching up the area where the old unit was, as well as providing a new much more efficient system. Within a week it was in (the team took just one day to remove, install and patch everything) and working perfectly. All the guys from Fusion Star were very polite, careful and left the room cleaner than it was before they started! I can't recommend Sean and his team highly enough - he's already followed up again to check everything is ok, because he really cares that his clients are happy. If I ever have any issues or questions, Sean will definitely be my first call.

Sean responded asap to my issue with a dryer vent, showed up the same morning with one of his crew members, diagnosed and gave a reasonable estimate for the fix. The work was completed two days later, no mess, no problems and I now have a functional vent system through the attic from the laundry room. I am very grateful for his expertise and professionalism not to mention punctuality and most especially for averting what could have been a fire hazard.

Sean was amazing. Called him to get a quote to replace my old compressor. He came over and listened to everything I had to say and then looked at my system and suggested what I needed. He did not try to give me a sales pitch nor did he come with a 15 page presentation (which some of the HVAC companies I dealtwithd did) he even told me what I don't have to change and by doing so he saved me money. I will highly recommend him for any of your HVAC needs.
