Our heater stopped providing us with hot air in the middle of the night and my family and I woke up to a freezing house. I called Grumpy's and David showed up within 2 hours and then diagnosed the issue with the unit quickly. He provided us with a quote and once we agreed, he got right to work. He found a new unit and told us he would have it installed by that night so that my family was able to have heat! His price was very reasonable for the value he provided, he was pleasant the entire time, and you can tell he is a true professional who cares about his customers! I will be using Grumpy's for all of my heating and cooling needs!
Had a leak in my ceiling from HVAC use due to a clogged drain. Called Grumpy and he showed up within the hour and fixed the issue almost right away. He even stayed to make sure the leak had stopped. Grumpy (not a grumpy guy at all, he's very nice!) was professional and knowledgeable in what he does. I recommend him!
David installed a super quiet and efficient all electric heat pump system that we are super happy with. We had nothing but a 1940’s original gas floor furnace, so this was a full system install. After discussing ducted and ductless options with him, we decided to go for a ducted central system. They went above and beyond with the ductwork, working in difficult spaces to get the vents to the ideal locations with perfectly balanced air flow. He was great to work with and he's obviously very experienced at this kind of work as everything went super smooth—highly recommended.
Our 50 year-old furnace quit this morning and we asked David if he might be able to look at it sometime. He said he'd be driving near our home in one hour and offered to stop by for a look. "I don't know if I can get parts for a unit this old," he said, once he saw it. Minutes later he diagnosed the problem and made an adjustment to the limiter that got the blower working again. He told us that the repair was unlikely to endure another Winter, but should hold for this one. What he didn't do was try to sell us a new furnace, even though we asked what one would cost. We are VERY happy with his service. When the time comes to replace our furnace, we know what to expect financially, and David will be the person we call.
David was kind, courteous and kept me informed. On time each day and did an excellent job. Since I needed to get the attic and house ready with upgrades for electric etc. David talked with me about the other contractors needed and I'm sure none of the work would have gone as smoothly without his advice. Thank you David!
We hired David to fix a flaky furnace on the home we just moved into. He arrived on time and was very methodical in his debug process. After two hours work, the furnace works flawlessly. Just so you know, we checked YouTube for the symptoms, and NONE of the videos showed the correct answer. All the YouTube videos pointed to a dirty flame sensor, none pointed to clogged combustion tubes. That's what experienced guys like David are for.
We called Grumpy's to replace the 70-year-old gas furnace in our new-to-us house. David came by, discussed our options, gave us a very reasonable quote, and three days later we had a brand new mini split heat pump system! This thing works great and I'm very glad we went with Grumpy's.
