John, Holland, and the team at Synergy did a outstanding job. They were on time every time they showed up, professional, and took the time to explain our warranty at the end of the install. Our new system sounds great and we are grateful for their hard work. Thank you Synergy Companies for keeping to your slogan and treating us right!
Our family qualified for the SMUD Weatherization program and Synergy removed our ancient and very dangerous gas heater and old A/C unit. They replaced them both and put new ducts as well to replace the older ones which were falling apart. In addition to being super-responsive on the phone (Ria, Ana, and more), their field reps were always on time if not early. They finished up the job today replacing our old fans with new ones and in record time. I highly recommend this company for any energy improvements and hope they continue for many, many years to come.
Worst company to work for I’m glad I left before it became worse
This company made three appointments with us with NO SHOWS each time after we waited during the hours they told us to. Today was supposed to be our 3rd try at an appointment between 10 - 12. I called to confirm our appointment to be told yet once again they didn’t have us on their records and they no longer work with PG&E so we are just out of luck. I would never advise working with this company as their SOPs (standing operating procedures) are very laxed if none at all.
My experience with SynergyCompanies was great. The ladies in the office., Ria, Rachel & Sylvia took care of all the appts and explained the process, answered all my questions and made me feel like all this work would go smoothly. We had a couple of hiccups but the ladies resolved it quickly. Andre & Roberto “Dream Team” installed a new breaker box and pole.. they KNOW their stuff!! They stayed on task while being just fun guys to work with. Then, Ti installed my new water heater after having the SAME ONE SINCE 1947. It was A LOT of adjusting to accommodate getting the new WH in. He did great! About a week later, the HVAC team arrived.. Victor & Nash , I cannot say enough about these two guys. On time, communicated with me and made sure I understood what they did, how they did it and what I need to do moving forward. 3 days with these guys was an adventure.. They took care of everything. Crane, delivery, and clean up.. even Rick ( roofer guy) went beyond my expectation of repair on my roof & cleaned EVERYTHING up. I did have all the guys here at one time, Andre & Roberto, Spencer & Raul, and Victor & Nash.. All the guys have a personality & are a fun bunch to work with. After all is done.. I have a new Water Heater, new screens, new HVAC, new breaker box and insulation blown up in my attic space!! So happy with ALL of it!!!! Would absolutely recommend this company!
Update: 2/1/2022 - After almost a year they finally came out and reworked the installation satisfactorily so that it would pass inspection. It was a pretty simple fix which should have been done the first time around. So raised to 2 stars, but what a headache. Original Review: This place is incompetent. They were hired to replace my furnace and they installed my furnace improperly and it failed the permit inspection. They stopped returning my calls and refused to repair the problem. So now I have an un-permitted installation in my house, which means my homes value just dropped. Will be hiring a competent contractor to fix their bum work and will be taking them to court with the bill.
So happy with the outcome! I worked with Nash and Spencer through the whole process. These two individuals are an asset to this company. They are professional knowledgeable and take their work seriously. I was in good hands with these two! So happy with my Furnace and other updates. The work moved along smoothly.
This Company is all about professionalism, recognized the needs of their customers and treat their team Associates well. I learn of Synergy through a Smudd no-cost program and from day 1 they have communicated throughout the process. Their technicians are prompt, professional, knowledgeable and share the same respect as how well Company treated them. HVAC and furnace project they have done is beyond satisfaction. I wish more people learn of all the programs that they offer and take the opportunity to work with an outstanding Company.
My a/c system failed during a week of 110 hot temperatures. No one was returning my calls. They never finished the final testing of my equipment because of the pandemic. and somehow forged the work permit saying they did. The refrigerant in my a/c was never charged and tested. There is no air flow from one of my vents into my children's room. I had to pay another company to fix the failed compressor and now Synergy finally returns my call after a few weeks says my warranty is now void. But they never completed their necessary part of the process. They never completed the job.
Worst company SMUD should cancel the contract with them I don’t recommend to anyone
From start to finish. Set up appt. keeping appt. to showing up on time. And doing the work of checking my systems and then making sure that things are all running proper. Then fixing and updating systems on my home. This service is provided to me for free. What a fabulous thing they do plus how they provide the great service and professionalism.
These guys were incredibly helpful with some new pieces for my furnace. It's quiet when it starts up and supposedly it's gonna save a ton of energy too
Scott, Production Manager, did tremendous work for me today. With a large amount of effort and creativity he custom fitted a pipe allowing water to drain away from the house. Scott is very professional and knows how to get the job done. Jesse, QPM (Quality Production Manager), did extensive work for me today. He averted a major leakage issue by noticing a clogged condensate drain in the A/C unit which he immediately flushed and repaired. He also gave me expert advice on how best to create better air flow distribution throughout the house. From Ria, who manages the office operations, to Joseph, the on-site supervisor, to John and Julio, the installation technicians, this company personifies communication and customer service. John and Julio arrived exactly on-time, and are extremely personable and efficient. They answered my many questions and made sure I understood each step in the process. After clean-up there was no indication they were ever here. Their work is exemplary and they installed the most powerful and efficient air conditioning and heating system.

A technician came and replaced all my weather stripping and my thermostat that had been fried by a power surge. He was very professional, cleaned up after himself and went over and above what he had to do. Unfortunately I didn't catch his name but still wanted to say how pleased I was with him and the company.
anagement stated: you could of paid an HVAC technician instead of using our weatherization services... Instead of admitting their technician aren't trained properly..... Synergy said I should be thankful. Lol what a joke. Definitely taking them to court. Filing small claims on Monday. Don't let synergy in your house.... period!!!
Today I received additional insolation (up grading me to R19) in my attic through SMUD, done by Synergy Companies out of Stockton CA. I can’t believe how helpful Synergy was, the young lady in the office was polite in scheduling the appointment to fit my schedule, the inspection was done in about 15 minutes and insolation was done in about an hour. My contact with Synergy’s staff was friendly, professional, polite and on time. To my surprise it was done with no mess and it was very quiet. I did look in the attic after they were done and it looked like a winter wonderland and the insolation is very deep. I’m sure this will keep me warmer and cooler in the proper season. Thank you.
