On a 100deg day our AC stopped working, and Yelp's top 10 for AC repair led me to start calling. The first one that looked near enough and had good ratings was Better Air Conditioning & Heating . I got insanely lucky, as some people had cancelled and they gave me an appointment window between 12p and 5p on the same day I called. Communication was excellent and I met Emilio at the door, and within just a little over an hour he had identified the blown booster and capacitor, replaced them, tested the other components (which all checked out), had us back to coolness and educated us about maintenance and filter replacement. Professional service at its best. My technician was prompt, polite and professional. He explained my options and showed me what I could do in order to help my system run more efficiently. The online scheduling was simple. I wasn't looking for anyone to try to up-sell me and he did not disappoint. Thorough explanations were provided and he cleaned up after himself. They were very professional and respectful. When I saw my air conditioner outside I was in shock. They didn't sit it on some bricks. They sit it on a professional stand and wrap my tube (don't know the technical name) that run to the house. I did not know there could be a professional difference in this field. But, there is and Better Air Conditioning & Heating sit that bar high. Thank you all for helping me in my time of need. You have a loyal customer here

They are always very courteous, prompt and get the job done when they say they will. They text and email to let you know when they are coming. They get the job done right the first time. Reasonable rate, correct diagnosis, and quick repair of AC that was not blowing cold air! Apparently was some drip issue causing condenser to fail
recently scheduled and appointment online with Better Air Conditioning & Heating to look at an issue with my 30+ year old air conditioner. They called the same day and bumped up my appointment by two days. After determining that my AC had to be replaced, they were willing to come out and replace it that same day, but I had a conflict in my schedule. They came out three days later and replaced the entire system in about four hours. They were professional, informative and the place was cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of HVAC work. Thanks!
Our AC stopped working. Better Air Conditioning & Heating had a reasonable availability. David was wonderful and honest. He was truthful about what we needed and didn't try to get us to pay for anything we didn't need. Definitely going to call him again if we need assistance with our AC in the future. Thank You.

After another (we'll known) local group came out and told us we needed an entirely new AC system (without even looking at the unit) we decided we needed a 2nd opinion. Better Air Conditioning & Heating came out quickly, thoroughly evaluated the entire system, and then informed us that the issues we were experience were able to be resolved with a system flush and compressor cleaning. Better Air Conditioning & Heating came out for a regular pre-summer maintenance. The tech listened carefully to what I thought I needed done, then performed his tests to confirm the unit was working properly, then repaired some insulation that had come apart that I was unaware of but needed addressing. Responsive, professional, good work and good value. Will happily see them here again in the fall for the heating check
Nothing fun when your A/C stops working in this Simi Valley heat and humidity. I called in the late afternoon and they scheduled to come out the next morning. Richard, the tech, was professional, gave me confidence of his knowledge, advice, and completed the job efficiently. I will definitely use this service again. The rate was very reasonable

I am not easily impressed but today I am very impressed. Emilio was the tech they sent out. He listened to my explanation of the issue, gave me a knowing nod, and went straight to work. Minutes later he had diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it on the spot. I am a licensed master electrician of greater than 25 years. That doesn't make me an AC expert, but I know a good hand when I see one. Emilio is better than good. Oh ... and they were super quick to get here too.
