I lost power to the bedrooms and bathrooms in my home and needed an electrician to come take a look. I called Ongaro and Sons and they quickly fit me into their schedule. The friendly technician, Chris, found and fixed the problem with ease. Since I have an older home, he explained the current issues with my electrical panel and offered options to consider in the future. He did a wonderful job of really explaining my options so I fully understand what my choices entail going forward. I'm impressed with his service and will be calling Ongaro and Sons for future home maintenance needs.
Chris Campbell arrived promptly, explained my options and completed the work in the same day. Great experience though the company is very expensive at $1,580 for 6 hrs of work and not much in material.
Ongaro just installed a new furnace for me,Dylan & Daniel were the installer team, boy what a pair. They worked continuously from 8am until they finished at about 1:30. What fine workmanship, didn't stop until the job was done, beautiful job. If I have another job I would ask for them personally. Also cleaned up all their mess, everything was neat and tidy, so happy to have them as my workers.
Chris Campbell was outstanding in providing me with electrical solutions to installing an electric hot water heater. We thinks "outside the box".
Nathan Dupre did an excellent job explaining the challenges of our dated electrical system and the options for upgrading it. He promptly provided the written estimates. Smart guy! We appreciated knowing that Ongaro is a family owned and run company. Thanks.

Great employees, price are astronomical however. $600 to install a faucet is insane. Found another company to do it for $180. This company will GOUGE you
Ongaro & Sons can't even show up to their appointments so I can't imagine trusting them to actually install something. I made an appointment with them for an estimate on replacing my furnace and wall heaters with a heat pump system. This is a large job that will cost $40-50K, so I assumed they'd be eager to win the bid from their competitors who have already been out to give me a quote. They gave me a 2 hour window for when they'd show up. Halfway through, they called me and said that their technician was running late and would be there 30 minutes after the scheduled window. This didn't work for me so we rescheduled for the next day. On the following day, with 20 minutes left in my 2 hour window they called me and said that their technician was running late and would be there after the arranged window again. I wanted to get a bid from Ongaro & Sons because they are among the highly rated HVAC companies in the Santa Rosa area. This was the last bid I was planning to get, and the other highly rated companies in the area that have already been out arrived promptly, seemed genuinely interested in doing the work and communicated with me promptly. Given that Ongaro & Sons won't even show up on time, I will be going with their competitors who put in the basic work to just show up.
Ongaro and Sons was disingenuous and lied on the phone. When I called to cancel appointment, they said they would waive the $88 initial consultation fee. Then when I got the bill of course the $88 fee was on there. I called them multiple times to inform them of this and still, they refuse to honor their initial claim. Their price for basic electrical services was easily $100 more than a half a dozen other electricians I had consulted with, poor customer service. Unwilling to listen to the customer and false claims that they would not adhere to. stay away from them, dishonest and difficult to deal with.
This review is a little late, but I wanted to thank Mike Wolfe! He provided excellent service, and made sure that we were taken care of. He worked quickly and efficiently. He was very professional. Thank you, Mike so much!
They do great work and their technicians are polite, professional and knowledgeable. Their pricing is definitely on the high end and should be more competitive with other similar companies offering the same services.
Ongaro has excellent health and safety procedures in place-which I found out when our furnace failed in the latest COVID surge. Anthony, the tech who came to help us, followed them all. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience and was able to replace the failed part in our furnace. He was really good at explaining how it was supposed to work and what to look for if anything further ever went wrong.
They worked with me to get a job. I was able to do some prep work reducing the overall cost. I'd recommend them. They work by the job, not time and materials.
Ongaro installed a new system which was ok except that they tried to get me to purchase the most costly system and when they came out a yr later to clean the system they did a terrible job and lied to me. They took two of the metal filters and said they could just hose off. I took them for their word but didn't notice a difference in the air quality. They also tried to sell me a air purifier system. I was not happy with them and called another company which came to clean it filters and they were horrified with how filthy the filters were. They said that the metal filters should never be washed and that they were now all rusty. They also informed me that I had another two filters that were apparently never changed and were thick with dust and dog hair. Ongaro refused to talk with me or make right what they had failed to do and I hope anyone that needs heating work will think twice about hiring Ongaro. S Harmony
i have used Ongaro a few different times. Each time they try to sell me "services" that they can make to improve this or that at my house. i had an annual service contract which basically entails paying for service a year before they actually do anything. i just had them do the annual flush of the instant hot water heater and they said that the pressure relief valve is leaking on the gas line, which is corroded. They pressured me to sign the contract for $2000 (more than the cost of the heater). i finally got a written copy of the estimate and its outrageous. Even though I am a "valued customer" the costs are egregiously inflated. Maybe taking advantage of an older female in healdsburg, not sure. If you pay Ongaro they will show up, and they are professional. But you will pay through the nose. I agree with another reviewer: i can't believe how many people rate this company highly.
Price Gouchers!!!! They charged my uncle $750 to replace a kitchen faucet for 1½ hours of work and my uncle supplied the faucet. He's never going to use them again. He was not happy. Do not hired this company unless you wanted to over pay and waste your hard earned money. Negative stars if I could. I would of replaced it myself if I would of known for free.

ONGSRO and SONS….100% recommended FIVE STAR service! They were able to fit service for my leaky bathtub faucet in 2 days and their communication was appreciated. Daniel C. was fantastic. On time, super polite, explained my options for the repair and showed me the parts that were replaced. Daniel had everything he needed in his truck so there wasn’t anything he needed to stop the job, leave and come back for. Such a time saver! After two years of waiting, we finally addressed several home improvements. Ongaro has always been a reliable plumbing go-to business; we were quite happy to make them our go-to again for a series of jobs! They are an amazing triple threat of services and the perfect place to make your go-to as well!
