I have several older Grohe shower valves in a rental property that needed service badly. Manny was dispatched and did a great job of disassembling to clean and replace the relevant parts to stop the leaking. He is an excellent mechanic and I mean this in the most complimentary way possible. He also displayed a high level of professionalism and care once inside the house. Job well done. We chose Santa Monica based on a trusted friend's recommendation. Of course, we did due diligence by getting another estimate from another company. Santa Monica was flexible, had good communication, the work they did and the reasons for it seemed more in tune with our preference. The techs arrived on time (early, actually), were courteous, professional, and unobtrusive (as much as you can be in this situation). They estimated it would take them under 4 hours and they were correct. They laid plastic sheeting before and vacuumed up after themselves. Their goal was to have our house looking the same after their visit as it had before, and they pretty much succeeded. They encouraged honesty in this review. We have no regrets choosing them and sincerely recommend them.
They are very overpriced they take their time. And do the repair work but somehow they have to come back and repair some other work that they say they didn't touch.
After reaching out to the company. Having direct contact with staff. Having direct contact with owner (Marco) Having company take my credit card information to simply schedule an appointment. Having scheduled an appointment. Having this company not show on appointment day and time THEY set. Having this company non responsive, not returning calls...is when I realized I was dealing with a fake company. If not fake...then a business running like some type of a high school operation.
Wonderful experience! Showed up on time and fixed my problems in the bathroom. They had what they needed in the truck. Cleaned up before they left and a very reasonable price. I will be using Santa Monica Plumbers for all my plumbing needs.

Manny and Armando arrived 15 minutes after I called them. They were very professional and fixed the issue within minutes. Highly recommend SMP.
I had sewer backup late yesterday afternoon and my first thought was to call SM Plumbing because I know they will answer my call, discuss my problem and give me trusted advice. In this case, Marco suggested that I might be able to wait until morning when it would be cheaper and if I didn't use much water flushing, etc. I could wait until morning to have them come out. The next morning Marco came right on time (7am) and took care of the problem.
I just had the BEST experience with this company. I have a wall mounted toilet. No normal plumber will go near it. I needed an expert. I found Santa Monica Plumbing and Heating online and talked to their very friendly receptionist, Nora. She sent Manny and Edmond to my place. They showed up on time. Within minutes, Manny, diagnosed the problem. It was the pump. Manny explained to me how the wall mounted toilets operate. He was very knowledgable and managed to fix it by taking out the pump and readjusting it. The whole thing cost $125 and I couldn't be happier. Thanks, guys! Sure is nice to be able to flush my toilet :)
I had a serious problem with my water heater and Manny saved the day and maybe my life. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend Santa Monica Plumbing!!!
Marco came out on a Saturday to work on an issue we had in our bathroom. He was quick, professional and responsive. Took care of everything and I know it was done right. I'll definitely be working with them again in the future!
