By far the best option for A/C and Heating help in PML. Chris is knowledgeable, responsive and fair. I highly recommend, and he lives here so that is a bonus!
We have a house in Groveland, CA, we bought 4 years ago that has an Evaporative Cooler. I don't know when or if it is was ever serviced. I found Chris on Google. He came out the same afternoon and thoroughly went over the whole system with me. He checked, cleaned, and oiled all the necessary elements of the system and replaced the belt. His rates are excellent. He is very friendly and great to deal with. I am extremely pleased with his service and highly recommend him.
Our floor furnace is the original 1950 furnace when the house was built. Now, 73 years later, that same floor furnace continues to safely heat our house thanks to Chris! Highly recommended!!

I was out of state when my thirty plus HVAC system stopped working. Chris called me back right away, explained the pros/cons of replacing or fixing the unit. He tracked down parts that others couldn’t or wouldn’t. He kept me informed; quickly diagnosed the problems and corrected mistakes that others made. He even worked on a holiday! I cannot begin to express how absolutely thankful I am to Chris for his professional quick response to my much needed heating unit I called four different heating companies, and they all explained to me that my unit was outdated, and nobody could find the parts because they no longer made them thankfully Chris reassured me. He would look at the furnace and sure enough he was able to replace the parts that were needed in a timely, professional manner. I was pleasantly surprised when he told me the cost which was way less than I expected. I’m very thankful to Chris LeVert for displaying nothing but integrity, honesty, and kindness. Chris was the 4th company I called about fixing our heater after 2 days with no heat. All the other companies were unable to fix the unit and just wanted us to replace it. Chris had the unit working within 5 minutes of his arrival! He was not interested in selling us a new unit (he does not do new installs) but getting the one we have working. We are still going to need a new unit, because the one we have is ancient, but this repair helped us not to have to rush the decision. He also gave us some advice on what to look for in a new unit.
Friendly , prompt and efficient..I was in a bind and he jumped right on it, within an hour he called to say everything was working again. I was speechless!!! Needless to say Chris Levering is my HVAC contact from now on.

Woke up to a chilly house and realized my furnace wasn't doing what it should. I called Chris around 1, he was here at 2 and my furnace is fixed and I have a brand spanking new thermostat that he had on his truck! I could not be more pleased with my experience - efficient, friendly, thoughtful, and most importantly, got the job done! Thank you!!
Amazing! Chris was recommended by my co-worker, and came in on hours notice when our 32 year old TRANE furnace started acting (short cycles). Within a few minutes he had it running, called the local installation company on our behalf and will send pictures of that museum piece to be replaced, hopefully this week. Very honest guy, told me how much it will cost to get our old system properly fixed and recommended not do it but go with the same brand, new system. It was easy to agree since the house was warm again. I'm keeping Chris contact information to do a regular maintenance on our new system when it will be up and running. The guy deserves my business and I will pass my recommendation to my co-workers and neighbors.
We purchased an old home (built in 1928) with a floor furnace. We knew there was something wrong with it when we bought the house because it wouldn't turn on, so we had PG&E come take a look at it and they told us after the inspection that we needed to hire a contractor because they weren't able to fix it. The pilot light went on but the burner wouldn't, and someone at some point replaced the thermocouple with a thermopile; the thermostat also wasn't hooked up, but the tech claimed that he hooked it up and still couldn't get the furnace on. We had an HVAC company come out to inspect the furnace, who of course said they didn't recommend putting any money into it and that we needed to replace it. They said it was rusted but had no visible cracks, but also couldn't guarantee there weren't invisible cracks that could pump carbon monoxide into the house. After quoting us over $14,000 to replace the entire furnace (which would involve cutting new vents into these old hardwood floors), I became determined to find someone who could repair our furnace. That's harder than it sounds when most HVAC companies just want to sell you an entirely new system for tens of thousands of dollars, won't touch the old furnaces, and tell you all of the parts are obsolete and aren't made anymore. After finding three different sources that said modern parts can be switched out on these old furnaces and that pretty much anything can be repaired except a ruptured firebox, I started searching even harder for someone local who repairs floor furnaces. Finally stumbled on Chris Levering's info, who happens to be in San Leandro, too. I left him a voicemail, he called back a short time later that day, and came out the next morning. He explained the issue, what it would take to fix the furnace (said he was essentially rebuilding the furnace), was very transparent about pricing, and in somewhere between an hour or two we had a working furnace again. Chris had done repairs on our older furnace at the end of 2020. Five months later we had a bit of a problem with the furnace turning on. I called him and two days later he came out and replaced the part under his 6 month parts and labor warrantee. He was on time, fast and and he stuck by his warrantee promise. It's hard to find furnace repair people who can and will repair old furnaces. He has access to parts for the older models and knows his way around them very well.
We have an old furnace that was shutting down sporadically. Sometimes it would run all night without a problem, then the next day would just run for 10 minutes then shut down. Chris showed up only a few hours after I called him, diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and had the spare part in his van that we needed.. :) Great service & a "good fella" to talk to. Top Class.
So it’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s, and our ancient floor heater stopped working, and it was COLD. Try finding a repair person who works on old floor heater furnaces at all, much less during a holiday week, in winter. Well, we found one. Chris Levering was at our house in about an hour and a half, quickly diagnosed the problem(s) and got the furnace back on line, installed the needed parts and replaced our antique thermostat. Our floor heater is now working brilliantly, and the programmable thermostat brings us firmly into the current century, or maybe the last century. The whole job took fewer than two hours, and the cost was reasonable. If you have an old floor heater, Chris Levering should be at the top of your list if anything goes wrong. Most highly recommended.
I have an old floor furnace (as in over 50 years old). I called Atlas Heating and they no longer service these but referred me to Chris. Chris came out, diagnosed the problem, took a very old and rusted part to a machine shop where a new one was fashioned (because they no longer make parts). He also replaced the pilot generator. Hallelujah...it's been over a week and the heater works great!! It used to go out regularly and we'd have to relight the pilot. I only have one floor furnace to heat an old 2 story house. The wind is very strong today and it's not blowing out!. Thank you Chris!!
Have an old gas wall heater that wouldn't hold a pilot light. I spent some time myself replacing the thermocouple, and hit a roadblock. Called Chris and he came right away. Chris quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty part. He was fast, honest, and a straight shooter. Would definitely use him again.
My heater went out at the house. Chris was slammed but called me a day earlier than we planned to squeeze me in which was awesome! He was very professional, knowledgeable, communicated well, and was fast!! I definitely recommend him for any HVAC needs.
So thankful that Chris called back so promptly. I had called/ contacted three other heating contractors the day after Thanksgiving, and Chris was the only one to call back. He was able to come over the same day and clean (looks brand new) and repair my wall furnace. I had no idea how deadly dangerous my heater had become. I would highly recommend hiring this guy.
