Absolutely the best service and knowledge on home heat and AC. They did an amazing job on my install. A close friend is an electrician and he was very impressed with the work performed. I would recommend Rescue Air definitely!

James and his team are amazing! Their installation is clean and James works With you and his team every step of the way to make sure you are happy! Out of this world guy! A year later called him with an issue and he showed up in an hour to repair!
James is just great! Always stands behind his work and always there when we need him. Did a great job on installing whole house AC and the one time something went wrong he had it diagnosed and fixed the same day! Would highly recommend!

Rescue Air installed our A/C and furnace in April 2019. I met with 6 different HVAC companies to get quotes and while they were all kind & professional, Rescue Air gave us the best bid and James seemed very genuine and honest. Their crew was able to install the machines in one day. One of them came back to finish up something small the following day. The crew was great. They were kind to my kids and very thoughtful and responsible. They cleaned up after they were finished. We had a small issue with our A/C yesterday evening and I emailed James. He came out today and added a hard starter to our a/c for free. It’s working well and I am very grateful! I highly recommend James and Rescue Air!
Admittedly, this review is long overdue since I noticed that I never wrote one for their service to replace an old furnace and install new AC to my home in 2017. But I asked for a service call several weeks ago and wanted to write another review only to notice I never wrote an initial one. New install 2017: I did my due diligence to find an HVAC contractor to install new AC in the fall after the scorching summer of 2017. I received quotes from 4 contractors and Rescue Air came in with the lowest bid. I don’t automatically choose based on lowest price, but it meant something to me that the actual owner was the one who came out to provide the quote. I could also tell that he wasn’t trying to upcharge me with any extras like updating and cleaning ductwork, additional vents, or higher efficiency units, especially since I was clear with what I wanted. I asked for an additional quote to replace a 20-year-old furnace and he gave me an honest and reasonable quote based on my own research. Like others have said, he doesn’t frivolously add mark-ups to his cost like what you would expect other contractors to do. I understand contractors are entitled to profit but his costs are not meant to gouge customers. They performed the install in one day, was very respectful of walking in and out of the house, kept a neat and clean area of work, including coming in and out of the crawlspace, and followed all requirements per the permit. James the owner himself made sure his crew left the home clean and replaced everything they had moved. He stayed to explain the maintenance and operation of the unit and the next steps for the inspection. During the inspection, the inspector wanted some minor corrections, which James was happy to oblige. He came and took care of the issues himself, which included wrapping some unsightly insulation around the ductwork coming directly from the furnace into the plenum that the City required. I had him install an HVAC unit few years ago, and since they did such a stellar job, I asked if he could come back to upgrade for an extension I had done on my home. They installed new AC for us. James and also his contractor staff were all very professional, detail oriented, and knowledgeable. After installing the AC, it didn't work very well at first, so he took extra time to diagnose and found out it was faulty parts from our old furnace. And he came over to our house again and even fixed it for free. We are very happy with their service and the new AC!
Hello, A few months ago, on a cold Friday morning, our old furnace went off after triggering the fire alarm. We had a home warranty coverage, but it was frustrating to find out the repair companies the warranty recommended could not even schedule the inspection until later the next week. We contacted Rescue Air and James as one of my colleagues strongly recommended him. I gave him a call around noon, and he came to diagnose our dead furnace the same afternoon. With a quick investigation, James found out the controller board was burnt. Then he gave us all possible options including just replacing the controller, replacing the old furnace with a similar unit, and upgrading it with high efficiency model. As the old one was more than 20 years old, we decided to replace the furnace. After getting quotes from several other companies, we realized James gave us very reasonable pricing. It was even competitive after taking into account the home warranty coverage another company could use. We decided to go with Rescue Air and James scheduled the work in a couple days. The work went very smooth. The crew arrived on time and finished the work by the promised time. The crew was friendly during the work and cleaned up the place perfectly. After everything was done, James double checked every small details and made sure everything is in place. We have been using the furnace well and we're very happy with the quality work. Rescue Air also took care of the city permit and the rebate. The city inspector picked up something not very related to the furnace work. The furnace is in our garage sharing the wall with the washer and dryer. The previous owner opened up the wall probably in order to install washer and dryer but didn't close it. The inspector said it's a fire code violation. Then, James took care of it for free, even though it had nothing to do with the furnace work he promised. His crew again cleanly finished the patch work and we were not charged any extra. As we're rela

Summary: James and his crew know their job really well, and deliver with high quality. We found out about James in our internal company forum (a few great comments there :-) ). We hired him to remove the old furnace, install new furnace on attic, and add an A/C unit. We got quote from 3 different HVAC companies. James' quote was better than the others. And there's one detail that I really appreciate: James listed all required work in details and up-front, e.g. remove old duct work, provide new attic access, test & run heating cycle). Also, James explained city requirements about furnace and A/C, and proposed furnace & A/C system which is powerful enough for my house, and still affordable. James and his team finished the work on time (less than 3 days!), and left the house really clean. I was expecting a mess, but was pleasantly surprised how clean it was when I came to the house after all the work was done. James asked me if we will replace the floor, we said no. Then during their work, James and team used paper box on the floor to avoid scratching the floor. Thanks to James for that! James also applied for permit and scheduled city inspection. It went smoothly and I didn't need to worry about it at all. James let us know that we could apply for PG&E energy rebate for installing the new power efficient furnace & A/C system, and scheduled PG&E inspection for us as well. One minor detail is that they caused a crack on the ceiling. But they fixed it well after we pointed it out, without any extra charges. Thanks to James and his team for a great job! And I definitely recommend them to anyone in need of any HVAC service.
We had a complete system that needed replacement. The estimate was very competitive and he explained all the options for different types of furnace and AC units. We scheduled the work and had a great team at the house that was prompt, efficient and courteous. They even painted the drainage pipe with some spare paint we had to match our enclosure. The work was performed on time and done with great attention to detail. A final walk through with James (who came every day to check in) was appreciated. Would recommend without reservation and with the highest praise.
I’m very satisfied. They were prompt and professional. They even came out two weeks later and repaired a small leak at no charge. Highly recommended.
James is very professional and nice. He helped us to install new A/C and replace the old furnace. All of the work were done very professionally, including where to put inlet and outlet. James provided all of the info for applying the city permit, and also in charge of PG&E home upgrade rebate application. I just signed a paper and he helped to handle all of the things to get the rebate, the final rebate was even more than what was evaluated in the beginning. Very satisfied with the all of their work!
Our appointment with James was between 11 and 1. He called at 10:45 stating he would be here in 30 minutes. It's refreshing when there's a 2 hour window, and they arrive at the early time. James was friendly, knowledgeable, and very quick. We're happy to have our air conditioner working again!
James seems very knowledgeable, took the time to explain things to me, and fixed my furnace within minutes. I've found a new furnace guy.
