I am a General Contractor in the East Bay and I have worked with Harry Clark Plumbing and Heating, Inc. for over 15 years now and I always work with them for all my HVAC needs on projects. I highly recommend them for HVAC and plumbing as they are wonderful to work with, professional, communicative, and they always come in on budget.
I had my first appointment scheduled to have both heating units serviced for my duplex. All went very well and I will plan on having a Harry Clark technician back again next fall. I would not hesitate recommending them.
Don Marshall came to evaluate a necessary repair for our furnace within a few days of my call to the Harry Clark office. He recommended replacing some of our old furnace duct instead of simply taping the duct joints as another company had recommended. His price was similar to the less extensive bid & included new installation. We accepted his bid & the work was scheduled shortly afterward. Two guys finished the replacement in a day & left the area very clean. We noticed better heating immediately. We were very impressed with all of our interactions with this company & will use them for all of our future heating & cooling upgrades. A excellent experience!

Our ac went out during the record breaking heat wave a few months ago. My wife has MS and cannot tolerate the heat. They made special arrangements to get someone out the next day. Brad was thorough and went through the whole system and got it working again. He explained everything clearly and did not try to sell me anything extra.
Always my first call for any Hvac work
They installed an air conditioning unit for us. After a few more nuts the unit stopped working. They came out to investigate and hopefully repair. The technician was at the house for almost two hours. Near the end I heard him talking to his supervisor on speak phone. The technician stated that he didn’t know why it wasn’t working, they talked it through for a while and then the supervisor instructed the technician to “just tell them they need to call an electrician”. Then we got a bill for the full time the technician was at the house. We called an electrician as they suggested. The electrician discover the issue in 5 min and explained in detail how Harry Clark had installed the air conditioning unit incorrectly in two different ways. The electrician was also surprised that the unit hadn’t been destroyed by the mistake. Never again.
They added an air conditioning unit to our 10+ year old heating system. The crew arrived at the day and time agreed and completed the work except for minor follow up in two days. Everything works fine. In addition, they gave us helpful information about how to operate the AC unit efficiently. Worksite was completely cleaned up each day.
This review is long overdue-- for a number of years I have used Harry Clark for any plumbing or heating problem in my home or four plex. They communicate clearly, arrive when promised, work with my or tenant's schedules, fix the problem and give information about cause and prevention. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. The phones are always answered during business hours. After using different plumbers from time to time, it's come down to this one company I can depend on. If you are looking for one company to handle plumbing and heating issues, I recommend Harry Clark.
I had to have lateral sewer system replaced as it was shot. Everyone from office staff, workers on site, and owner was very professional, efficient, neat and friendly. While that was happening the supervisor on the job noticed a constant flow of water from the house and notified me, and Harry Clark got a plumber out right away and got that fixed too! Thank you to everyone at Harry Clark!
So far this year, Harry Clark installed a new HVAC system for us as our old one was really old. They were great - on time, clean and efficient. Improved the arrangement to even the air distribution to make it work better for our house. They also came immediately when our water heater died just now to replace it. Another great job! We have used them for many years and have always been pleased with the people, the service and the reliable installations.

Harry Clark was very professional and on time. The moment the technician, Ronnie, arrived I knew my heater problem was going to get taken care of. He explained everything he was doing as he did it. He worked very efficiently too and got done quickly! It's always a concern that people might work slow on purpose to get paid more, but he came in and did everything so fast! I would highly recommend this company! Even the call center was a pleasure. They were very friendly and reassuring that they could handle the job. It put my mind at ease that I would have heat very soon, especially since I have two small children! I will definitely be calling them again if I ever need help again.
