I am a Director of Engineering. I have used City Mechanical at several properties over the past 15 years. Russ is great to deal with. I have consistently used this company because once I call them I no longer have to worry about the problem, they make the repairs on time and correctly every time. Are they the cheapest company out there? No, but do you really want the cheapest HVAC contractor in the book working on your home or business? I certainly do not. I have read some of the negative reviews and find them hard to believe based upon my years of experience with City Mechanical. I strongly recommend them to anyone I know in need of their type of services. I have found their staff to be great to deal with and very easy to communicate with.
Charge for work not done or parts not installed correctly they had a 1 hour fee to clean there truck after the job it’s frustrating when I take my car in I understand what there doing however you hire these people to not take advantage of what they know you have no experience we had an expert review there invoice and work to understand how we were cheated the bill was in the Thousands of dollars
Would strongly advice to stay away from this business. They initially charged me over $1200 to fix a burst pipe on my heating system. They made me pay the full price for the 2h their technician was away to get a piece he needed and even tried to charge me for his lunch and overtime. Also took 1.5 hours to diagnose the issue even before getting the piece. They spent probably about 1.5h fixing it but at the end still ended up paying 1k. Their customer service is degrading and insulting.
I had a bad experience with City Mechanical. My HVAC was not functioning. They charged me around $1200 and were barely able to diagnose and fix the issue . I will not recommend.
These guys do awesome hvac repairs all over the Bay Area
