This is Review on outstanding customer service. This is how all began. We had had a different company replace a part of the furnace but it didn't work for more than a day and then they recommended the furnace to be replaced. I didn't feel comfortable with their service and contradicting info between the technician and the office so we decided to get 3 more quotes. The first two companies came and gaves us quotes on replacement cost but no diagnosis on what was wrong with our furnace. We needed to pay for that. We didn't want to spend for money since our HVAC is more than 25 yrs old. Then came Brook from Spot Free. He was very hands on as soon as he arrived. He asked what was the issue and then tried to figure what was happening. He spend almost an hour trying to troubleshoot our furnace. He mentioned he doesn't like his customers to replace a unit unless it is absolutely necessary plus he said it sounded good. He recommended replacing a part out and offer some credit if the unit fail within 6 months and needed to be replaced. I feel so satisfied with his customer service that I wish I had called him first instead of the company that spent 5 mins and charged me more than $400 !!!! I was charged nothing by Spot Free for his visit..... Outstanding customer Service Thanks Brook!
Spot free did a great job installing our AC unit and cleaning our ducts. Brook was prompt and responsive, and was very patient explaining our different options and his recommendations without being pushy. The crew that did the install were very clean and polite and seemed to go above and beyond doing extra details like re-insulating a lot of our existing duct work. When unexpected things came up like needing to run a new thermostat cable and related drywall patching they communicated to me about it but then just took care of it without additional charge. We got quotes from 4 other providers and spot free had better pricing than most and was much more willing to explore different options with us to find a solution that fit within our budget.
Installation for both Gas Furnace and AC Condenser was scheduled on Jun 16 - 18, 2021 and they arrived exactly in time on that date. Anson(Owner) and his team members Brandon, Lam, Felipe Junior and Senior were very cooperative, understanding and professional.Even though the installation was falling on dates of Heat wave and it was unbearably hot in Attic, still they managed to pull it great.Their workmanship was validated when the Fremont City Inspector came and said "This is quality work which you don't see these days much". They have done everything exactly to the code of the city and infact they have given you more than what they got paid for".I would definitely and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for HVAC work.
Spot Free replaced our 42-year-old furnace and added a brand new A/C unit. They were thorough and polite when estimating and were far cheaper than the other two estimates. The team that came (Junior, Senior, and Brandon) were very quick, efficient, polite, friendly, and worked with us to locate all new lines and condenser pad. They put in nice looking excellent quality units. They handled the permitting. Everything works well and we are quite happy. We highly recommend Spot Free!
These guys replaced my old furnace and AC unit and they did a fantastic job. First of all, one of the owners, Anson, came with the crew to make sure they ordered all the right parts for the install. The owner suggested a better AC unit for my situation (a slimline unit), which worked out much better than what I had originally discussed with the other owner, Brook (who came out to quote the job). When they went under the house, they discovered some damaged ducts and gave me a very fair price for taking care of those. They did some other little things to help me out and make the job shine, like washing all the vents for me. They made sure we were getting good air flow through all the vents as part of their final inspection. The crew was very polite and mindful of my property. They all seemed like great guys. They did an outstanding job of keeping my property neat and clean and when they were done you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for the new Nest Learning Thermostat on the wall, which I got at Anson's suggestion and which I am very happy with. I am very pleased with this company and highly recommend them. Plus, they were the least expensive of all the quotes I received. Definitely got my money's worth!
My tenants heater stopped functioning... For a landlord in the middle of winter-- this was a nightmare. My experience with Spot free HVAC was top notch. Everyone from my initial call, to installation and repairs made me feel like a valued customer. Their service was timely, professional, and thorough. Anson went over and above to make sure everything was just right; and it was. Where others would have taken advantage and over charged , Anson was a a reliable, affordable & honest HERO !! I cannot thank Spot Free HVAC enough and they come with my highest recommendation. For those that know me personally, my recommendation is not easy to obtain!! This will be my go to for all HVAC jobs in the future. SOLD !
Spot free hvac installed a new heating system for my home. They put it a good quality unit installed perfectly. Functions just as promised. A dream to deal with. On time, polite, trustworthy. They did everything they promised . They clean up. My new heater runs great. I would call them for any future work. The climate system in your house is so important. I feel fortunate to find a business that I can depend on being fair and reliable .
After 35+ years our furnace was on its last legs and so we decided to install Central AC at the same time. Brook from Spot Free came out and gave me a detailed estimate and made sure to point out in advance what variables might lead to additional expenses (such as crimped or leaking refrigerant lines). This led to no unexpected or unforeseen costs that always seem to pop up when I work with contractors. Their quote was not the cheapest but was more than reasonable and the positive experience from our initial meeting made me decide to go with Spot Free. The install took 2 days to complete which was half a day sooner than estimated. The crew that came out; Anson, Lam & Felipe did an amazing job and left my house spotless. They were extremely professional and polite and I could see from their work that they really cared about doing a good job. They did have to come back one time because the original home builder ran the upstairs drain for the AC through my garage ceiling and capped it with nowhere to run off. This would normally be the “unexpected expense” from other contractors but Spot Free came back and came up with a solution and did not charge me for it. I’d give them 6 stars if possible and will definitely recommend to family and friends
The team helped install a new furnace after our 30+ year old on finally died. It was not an easy job by any means but they were very thorough and efficient when installing, keeping us updated on what was happening. I would certainly recommend their high quality of work to my friends and family!
Woke up this morning with a rather frigid house, went to dial up the central heat and had a dead screen. Thinking wow and Merry Christmas to my visa balance. Looked on yelp and found this company in Hayward called Spot Free HVAC. So I rolled the dice and called them for some wisdom and possibly a fix for my problem. Enter 1 each Brook who answered the phone immediately barely giving me time to clear my throat so I could speak of my situation. Brook clearly and honestly instructed me of my options which is unheard of nowadays which saved me my hard earned dollars by pulling off my thermostat and replacing the corroded batteries. Ewwalah problem fixed! If I ever have a issue with my A/C or heater, I will definitely call this place. I also will recommend them to neighbors and coworkers. Mike in Fremont
Needed home inspection repair work and Spot Free HVAC Air Services responded within 24 hours of my request. I was blown away by their outstanding customer service, professional repair work and customer satisfaction. Thank you Felipe, Luis, Anson & Brook. Most definitely recommend calling this company first and you won't be disappointed.
We had an excellent furnace replacement done by Spot Free. After our very old furnace quit, they gave us several options for replacements with competitive prices, scheduled the installation within a week and delivered as promised. Very professional crew and work. Highly recommend Spot Free.
Called these guys for a second opinion and it was the best thing I could have done. My AC wasn't working and another company told me that my AC compressor was dead (12 year old system, they were unable to hard start my AC compressor). Quoted me $6K to replace my old system and upgrade from R22 to R410. Spot Free came by and was able to hard start my old system and install a booster to keep it going. $250 fix. Awesome service!
Spot Free did an excellent job taking care of my heater and duct issues. They also totally cleaned out my heating ducts which had never been cleaned since I moved in four years ago. Seabass and Anson provided excellent customer service.I will definitely use them in the furure. I can recommend this company highly.
Anson arrived on time and got right on diagnosing my heating problem. He was straight forward, honest with his evaluation and solutions, and very affordable too. Spot Free HVAC will the first call I make if I encounter problems in the future!
Just want to say thank you. Clean work, fair/true pricing and on time. Small business that cares. My wife was super impressed at how clean and efficient they were. They are good! They took their time to explain everything and heater is now working when it mattered in the cold rain. I would recommend, I found my regular guys.
Our HVAC heating system has been weak and stops on its own. We hired multiple people to look at it and clean the furnace. We were told system is old and replacement will cost a lot. This year we finally decided to get it fixed and called Spot Free based on reviews. We are so glad Brook and Dom came. They are prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They fixed the system in minutes -- It turned out there were dirty filters that prevented the air from blowing through, which the previous people we hired missed. Brook and Dom gave us honest and practical suggestions on how to make the system better. Thanks to them, winter will no longer be freezing at home. Highly recommended.
On Friday, February 24, my furnace went out in the upstairs attic. I was expecting Airbnb guests on Monday and had to get the furnace replaced. I was pretty much in a panic after calling 12 companies to find someone who could get the furnace done before Monday. Nobody could fit me into their schedules, and didn't even try, but I continued looking and found Spot Free on Yelp. I called the office and a very nice woman said she would do everything she could to see if they could fit me in due to my emergency. All of her guys were out on other jobs, but she was able to get part of her team out to diagnose the problem and they were able to replace the furnace in time before my guests arrived even though they had to do it on their day off. I could not have asked for better service. Brook was just an amazing person. Also, the work was done at a very reasonable price. My experience with Jamie at the office was above and beyond what most people would go to in an emergency situation. Maria
