Jim is a chauvinist. Within 15 seconds of him being in my home, he asked if my husband was home. He didn't answer my questions and treated me like I was some poor, helpless woman. When I asked again about how will he send the quote, he said verbatim, "Oh I'll go ahead and call your husband. I like to talk to people." As if I'm not the adult homeowner standing in front of him. Poor excuse for a man. Don't give him your money.
When my heater stopped working I called Absolute Air and they came the next day to check it out. Jim, the owner, found out it was a faulty gas valve and put it on order. Quoting me a price. When the part came he installed it, and fixed the gas line that was installed kind of weird. Had extra loops in it from the original builder installed. Bonus part of thestory is he charged me over $100 LESS than the quoted price. Can't say enough nice things about this company and would definitely recommend them for your heating and air conditioning needs.
Absolute Air in Fallbrook is absolutely a service you should avoid using. Jim came out on the first response and determined with 100% confidence that the furnace needed a "Pressure Switch" and charged me $204 to make that determination. He finally got the part a week later, installed it, which did not fix the problem. He then determined that the furnace needed to be totally replaced and charged me another $300 to make that determination. $500 later and the furnace was no better off. Jim then contacted us the next day and advised that "There may be nothing wrong with the furnace and that he wanted to come back out". What a joke!! We went with a different, professional HVAC company who diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, efficiently and affordably. Please read the other reviews about Absolute Air and make a wise decision..
I contacted Absolute Air to have my A/C unit moved from the rear of the house to the side yard. I spoke to Kathy and Jim over the telephone and was immediately impressed. Jim arrived promptly for both the estimate and to complete the work. During the estimate, it was obvious Jim was very knowledgeable in his craft, but more importantly, took pride in his work. As my home is new construction, the install was not especially neat and/or correct. Jim took the time and extra effort to correct the previous mistakes. The move/install was very meticulous. Having owned numerous homes over the years, and dealing with a fair share of contractors, Jim is at the very top of the list. If you are looking for a contractor that is fair, actually does what he says, and is a true craftsman, look no further that Jim at Absolute Air.
AC broke during the heat wave and Jim was able to come out same day and diagnose the issue and fix our unit. Highly recommend!!!
