I am highly satisfied with the service received. The price they quoted was very competitive and provided the best-rated equipment in the market. Both the management and the technical people were very friendly and outstanding. They handled a challenging connection problem specific to the building and met strict HOA requirements. My background is in engineering, and I recommend this company very highly for its technical competence, professionalism, and friendliness.
Tech Air did a great job replacing aging furnaces and installing heat pumps. Really appreciated their follow-up on and resolution of small issues that popped up related to my particular installation. Would definitely recommend.

Colin and his crew replaced our central air furnace with a new outdoor heat pump, indoor air handler and a mini-split in a previously unconditioned master bedroom. Their crew was prompt, tidy and did a great job on the install. Highly recommended!
Colin and team were very professional and efficient. I received several bids and the only one that was less was one of those guys who does side jobs that may or may not be reliable down the road. As we all know, the last thing a homeowner needs is to be left holding the bag on a major part of your home, so it is great to have the assurance that Colin and his team will be there if things go wrong. From the workmanship however, it does not appear that we will be seeing him any time soon! Furthermore, my family/young kids/pregnant wife was very sensitive to asbestos and we insisted that we get a 3rd party to help solve this for us even though Colin offered and was capable. Colin was able to get a company he works with and abate all of our ducting using negative pressure etc. at a very reasonable price-- he really does help you solve the entire job from A-Z. Thanks again Colin!
Colin increased the value of our home by $100,000, let me explain how this genius of a professional and genuinely nice person made this happen. We moved into a new home in San Francisco's St. Francis Wood neighborhood and asked him for two new HVACs. All appliances were in a room in the basement. Colin looked around, climbed through a crawl space, and discovered that there was a hidden and empty room right next to it. He suggested demolishing the wall and building the new HVAC in the new room, which we then repurposed into the new Mechanical Room for HVAC, heaters, steam pump, etc. As a result, we were able to use the now-empty room to add a new bathroom and turn the adjacent storage room into a bedroom. That was the value add, and more than paid us back for what we paid for his work. Throughout the HVAC installations, Colin was incredibly attentive, a creative problem solver, and had a can-do-no-problem-i'm-happy-to-go-above-and-beyond attitude. He was the first contractor to work on the new home and set the bar so high that everybody else after him has paled in comparison. Colin and his team were a real dream for a homeowner for a heritage home that required extra special care.
Great experience with Colin And the Tech Air team. We got multiple bids and Colin was the only one who started at the bottom and worked his price up with add ons vs others who bundle every feature even if you don’t need it. Install and work was timely and the crew was clean and professional. Would definitely recommend

Colin Hallat and his crew did a phenomenal job removing our gas furnace. They installed an electric heat pump and filed for rebates, as part of our plan to transition from gas to electricity and solar. The job was timely, clean and professional. I highly recommend their services.
I don't usually write reviews but was so impressed with Colin and his crew that I want to recommend him to all. Colin made last-minute time to come out on one of his busiest days of the year to try to get our ancient furnace working. When he couldn't, he had a new one procured AND installed less than 24 hours later. Extremely professional and went the extra mile to get our house heated again. Call Colin first.
Colin and Tech Air did an amazing job installing a new AC system and replacing all our ducts. He was responsive, on time, fair priced, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. We received several quotes for a Trane AC system with ducts before finding Colin and Tech Air in Mill Valley. Colin and his team are genuine and fair, and take immense pride in their work. They worked efficiently and set clear expectations, informing and including us in any major decisions to be made. For the one modification required, they only charged us the cost of the additional part, but not anything more and even patched some unrelated dry wall for free. When the project was completed, they returned to ensure the system was operating and our inspection was approved. We highly recommend them for their exceptional service, professionalism, and friendly local feel.
