We used Johnston Furnace. They were so helpful in replacing our thermostat. I would use them over again and am recommending them to everyone I know. They were fast, professional and gave a senior discount. Thanks.
I called them to schedule an appointment and turns out it is a very small business that only serves a limited area. If you live on the Westside, don't bother, they don't come out this far.
Cut through the sleazy, scummy and unethical "repair men" over-charging you and call Johnston first. The girl on the other end of the phone and the repairman they sent out are TOP NOTCH, 5 STARS. I had 7 estimates ranging from $600.00 to $14K (no joke) and when I called Johnston and set up an appointment for an estimate, not only were they punctual, but they were in work mode the moment they arrived. About 15 minutes and a replaced component later, my 35 year old AC was back up and running and has been for about a month now. It was a FRACTION of my lowest quote. I couldn't believe it - still can't. Johnston: I can't thank you folks enough. Your work is honest, ethical and good. I really hope you all have a long and prosperous business. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Super friendly receptionist, technician got me back up and running within 24 hours, which is amazing at the height of summer.
My feelings are torn between this business. They've helped me in the past replace a gas valve. Only four years into it I need to replace it again? doesn't add up. Our old valve lasted for 40 years. And the average lifespan says 15 years.
Johnston Gas Furnace is the best company I dealt with. They are honest, professional, friendly, and have great service.

Great work on floor furnace!
Everyone should be prepared. Being a retired contractor, I know licenses, bonds, and equipment are very expensive. Today’s floor furnace repair could have easily been expensive, but the Repair Technician (Dimas) lead with integrity I believe to be a company value. A slightly untrustworthy shop could have upselled me (The modern business model). However, they appear to desire regular customers… and did the proper job for a safe heater for the both of us. Someday, I may need a new floor furnace, but not now. This 1945 era Holly Stubby has more life, saving me a considerable amount of opportunity cost. Like your car mechanic, honest behavior is a net money gain. I’ll give them five smiley faces (as, I think, the kids say today). This comment was unsolicited- I’m happy to share a good heating agency with my community.
I absolutely live this company. They ate not o my reasonably priced but so very professional and nice. The office staff is great and so are the workers. They are always there when i need them. Thank you so much for taking care of our dance studio snd keeping the GeneRaTion DCD Dancers and families COOL!
They do more than furnaces. I and my family have been using Johnston Gas Furnace for HVAC replacements and service since the 1990s. Most recently, they corrected an intermittent a/c failure by coming back until a motor failed when the technician was present. They could have charged a lot more by replacing everything that could have been causing the problem. Instead, they were honest and even got a replacement motor covered under a long-term part warranty!
Insisted on verifying plumber's and other HVAC team analysis & recommendation in person. Without warning or explanation, charged me a $95 service call fee. Did nothing other than confirm what they were told
