Highest recommendation. Sun Air replaced two aging gas water heaters in my home with new heat pump water heaters. Both required running new 240v electrical lines. The bid I received covered all aspects of the project from installation, disposal of the old units, and required permits, and the price was extremely reasonable (be sure to ask Peter about the generous rebates and tax credits that are now available). Peter, Adrian and Jacob completed the project on time and their work was excellent. Peter knew what he was doing, was responsive to my questions and concerns, and was very easy to work with. He was the ultimate professional.
Were about to leave the country for 2 weeks when our propane fired furnace under the house went south. I had just enough firewood to cover us for a few days after we returned, but after that we had no heat, and the morning temps were hitting 36 F in our area (Santa Cruz mountains). Based on a neighbor's recommendation I contacted SunAir to see if, short term, they could get the old furnace running, and after that advise me as to replacing the 40 year old furnace with a new one. I contacted them late on Friday and they responded that they could stop by on Monday. When Peter showed up I went under the house with him to troubleshoot the furnace. To make a long story short we both agreed that trying to get the 40+ year old furnace running (dead control board) would be a waste of time. Also the ducting (mostly over 40 years old) was in pretty bad shape and installed in a sloppy manner. I got a quote from Peter for replacing just the furnace and another quote for a complete furnace and ductwork replacement. I decided to rebuild the whole system. Peter quoted 3 days to complete the job and was able to start a few days after that. Unfortunately, in the middle of the job we had a day of rain that ended up flooding under the house where the furnace was located. It turned their work area into a mucky mess, but they kept going and finished the job on time. I'm fairly certain that many other contractors, confronted with the same circumstances, would have halted the work and left us with no heat for many more days. Kudos to Peter and his crew for putting up with the terrible working conditions and getting the job done on time as promised.
Peter and Adrian did a wonderful job! THey solved several problems in a professional and friendly manner. We were freezing. One hour later we are toasty!

The San Lorenzo River flooded into our vacation cabin and killed our furnace. I contacted several local furnace companies and Peter of Sun Air was the most responsive. He and his crew got the new furnace installed quickly and professionally. They added a platform to raise the furnace so it will hopefully survive the next flood. Highly recommend these guys.
Sun Air found the time to come fix our furnace after the capacitor died. Peter is professional, personable, and lightning fast! We plan to rely on SunAir for all of our HVAC needs in the future, and you should too!
Peter did a wonderful job. Responded quickly when when our furnace wasn’t working. He attempted to revive our old one a few times and then had to install a new one. It works great, we’re cozy warm and really appreciate his great service. Thanks

Just - Wow! This company sets the gold standard for excellence. They went above and beyond for our family today and we are beyond grateful. Our heater stopped working. In December. We’ve had a major storm passing over us and it’s been cold, rainy and overall pretty miserable. Adding to that we have school age children in the house. My friend had recently had work done by SUN AIR and gave us Peter’s number and told us to reach out. We messaged SUN AIR. Response time was fast. We were communicated with in the most professional yet compassionate way. They really cared. We were squeezed in and Peter was able to work around our schedules and constantly communicated with us about timing. He is a genuinely kind person and more importantly knows his stuff. He had us up and running within the hour! And the major crisis that I had invented in my head and literally lost sleep over turned out to be an extremely affordable fix. Peter from Sun Air replied promptly to our questions, came to see the property the next day, and gave us an estimate with several options. He completed the installation the following day. We are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the price was fair. We would be happy to call Sun Air again.
My furnace wasn’t turning on and I called Sun Air in the morning. Pete was very responsive and suggested something I could try on my own to get the furnace started which ended up working. I really appreciated this when he could have just come out and charged me for a simple fix. I’ll definitely call Sun Air when my old furnace finally needs to be replaced.
Peter responded immediately to my first email late on a Sunday night. He was out the next day, and made a "band-aid" repair for free so that the heat would work until he could come out for the full repair. When he came back to do the full repair, he noticed a few other issues that he fixed without changing his original quoted cost. Would use them again.
Peter and Adrian did an excellent job with the heater replacement and installation of the heat pump for AC. Peter was very responsive to requests for quotes and explained the pros and cons of different options and models. They showed up on time and finished work with super professionalism! They even took care of the grounding post that was above ground, a trip hazard, at no charge. I am really glad I chose Peter’s team for my HVAC project. Recently, I needed his support to show my new tenant how the control panel works. Peter was responsive and very helpful! It’s great to know that I can count on Peter for aftercare! Our heater went out and it was 35 degrees out. I was frantically calling HVAC companies; Peter at Sun Air called me back within an hour of me leaving a voicemail and came out first thing the next morning. We had a quote within thirty minutes of him leaving. Within the week we had a new unit and new thermostat installed. The team was extremely professional and fixed our old duct work as well. I definitely recommend, extremely happy with the results.

Peter was VERY helpful when our wall heater wouldn’t turn on. He responded to my call in less than 3 hours, spent a good amount of time on the phone and texting with me to explain how I could easily fix the most common problem myself. When that didn’t fix it, he came over, even though it was after his businesses closing time, stayed until the problem was resolved, and charged what was a very reasonable amount for his time and expertise. I will definitely be calling him whenever I have a project that his company can do.
Our furnace wasn't working, we called Monday at 8am & left a message. Peter returned the call & was at our home by 9:30am. It was decided that the heater needed to be replaced. He was able to install it that day! This was awesome since we were leaving that day from our vacation home & were returning the following weekend with guests. They did an excellent job, cleaned up and were very respectful. We were very pleased.
