I can’t recommend this company. They will take your money and be clueless on to what’s going on. My advice is get on YouTube. I was able to change out a fuse for a couple bucks and a capacitor for less than 20 bucks on my own. I kept having the same issues and they would just take my money but not address this issue.

This company has had some of the rudest people to deal with on the phone. This woman even had the nerve to ask if I am aware of Arizona weather and how it works. This woman also stated that capacitors go out all the time. We live in a brand new, 2 year old house, with and A/C unit that they installed and our capacitor has gone out 3 times in two years. My old house never had an issue this often. The house will not get any colder than 75 and if we try the A/C unit breaks. We have had two leaks in one year, and we have had freezing in our addict. We have asked them to contact Goodman for our 10 year warranty on the unit and they said it would cost us 80 dollars just to have someone come to our home so they could call Goodman on our behalf. We asked This company come out and fix our a/c unit one time and they drained fluid out and then left, so we had to have another company come out and fix their mistakes. I have never dealt with a worse company. We asked to speak to someone higher up and the woman said no, no one else is working. We are so very frustrated with this company and the customer service. Not helpful or kind at all. Do not use this company!!!!!

Currently not impressed. We had our appointment window of 1pm to 5pm. Tech did not arrive until almost 7pm and was ill prepared. He was nice and appeared to do a good job. Unfortunately the tech, I assume was tired and wasn't paying attention and fell part way through our ceiling. The lack of communication and control of the situation between the supervisor and the tech was poor and made us wonder if the were going to fix our house. It was a huge mess that was left for the home owners to clean. Once we got a person with the ability to communicate well the house was repaired immediately. I was never called back afterwards by Chas to make sure things were fixed to my standard. Never an offer to clean the mess or an attempt to make it right. Once the contract is finished I will be looking for a company with better service. I'm sure my experience is rare and you might not have the issues we had, however the follow through and communication are just as important as the task a failure of one is telling to me.

Poor welding. Leaking freon in nearly new air conditioning unit. Company records calls so they can gaslight you later with misinformation saying "it's all there in the recording" but they refuse to share the recording (of course). Be aware they're recording you and if you have any issues whatsoever later, they'll dust off the old recording, extract a key word or two, create a new narrative with their spin that favors their new "reality." However, photos don't lie so take plenty of those too after they gaslight you. Check out their Yelp reviews, which are abysmal. Here on Google, anyone can create multiple Gmail accounts anonymously.

My home builder used a Chas Roberts AC unit. A few months after I moved in the thermostat was not working. Chas Roberts sent a technician, who brought along a trainee. The tech went out to the truck to get a replacement thermostat while the trainee was looking at my air handler when I heard a loud pop. The trainee called the tech over and after a few minutes they closed the door to the air handler, replaced the thermostat and said they were all done. Once they left I took a look at my air handler and found they broke the drain alert off my air handler and didn't bother to fix it or say anything.

We bought a new build 1.5 years ago and the a/c stopped working. Our builder told us to contact Chas Robert's. We had to wait three days for a technician and agree to an $85 fee just to have a technician come to our house. The technician said that our unit needed to be pressure checked. Now we were looking at $200 price. Then the technician said that the system was out of freon and although the unit is under warranty, we would have to pay $800 for the freon. The leak was due to a loose fitting at the compressor. The technician told me that this is common and his price went down to $500, then back up to $800 when I questioned him. This is a horrible company; Do not use them!

I purchase this home in 10/29/2020 moved into it hasn’t been a year I have had nothing but issue in the winter heating issues now in the summer thermostat issue several techs have been out and replaced the thermostats but i continue to have the same issues. For being a new installation it really sucks on top of calling for a service call it’s crazy. One representative said October would be the soonest they can come out I requested a supervisor to return my call I was able to get someone out on July 13, 21 but I put in the call in June now my thermostat is not working which I contact the tech that same day to let him know I was still having an issue after he replaced it but I’ll he said there was no way. Called in customer service the soonest is July 30, 2021. Crazy !!!!

Within 3 years of having a new AC unit installed by Chas Roberts it has broken twice. Bought an extended warranty to cover parts and labor. Chas came out and has done multiple inspections and everything came back fine. When the AC went out, called to get service after hours and was told they can’t come out for a week! A week in AZ in July! No customer service and absolutely ridiculous turn around time. Knowing what we know now we would never have bought an extended warranty with this company.

This company is useless for people like you and I. They are only in business to partner with cheap home builders to perform repairs. Aka they have no true reason to show up or do said repairs. Run as fast as you can. Dukes of air is a great company.

Our quality of install is atrocious. Wires going into our air handler without domed connectors, air handler is not level at all, they beat my air handler with a sheet metal hammer and put holes in it. My air handler has leaks galore. I already have water spots in my auxiliary drain pan. My ground wire was also not hooked up. I also see oil around the copper at my condenser. Don’t ever use this company if you’re planning on replacing your system. My house isn’t even 3 months old!!!! I will be sending all photos to Lennox on Monday and contacting the ROC. This is an absolute joke.

Called to have a basic preventative annual service in preparation for the summer. Was advised they didn't have availability until July. It is March! What is the point of a warranty? If anything we are tying to help by maintaining our unit.

I purchased my home new in 2018 for $500k from Taylor Morrison. They used Chas Roberts to install my HVAC system. Last year in the middle of July my a/c went out. I was past my 1 year warranty with TM. I have three children under the age of four and live in AZ, so my priority was to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I called Chas Roberts at 7pm and nobody answered, so I called another company who sent a tech out within an hour. He told me there was no freon and i had a leak in my line. He told me he could run some dye through my line to find the leak. He found the leak where chas roberts had welded aluminum tubing to a copper fitting that connects to the AC unit. He told me 9 times out of 10 these this type of welds will fail because you have two different metals that contract and expand at different temperatures when heated and cooled. Basic science. I called Chas Roberts the next day and the wannabe ghetto tech they sent to my home never made it through my front door. I told him what the other company had told me and as soon as I said he had put dye through my line he yelled that I voided my warranty and i would have to pay for any work he did. With a cocky snotty attitude he continued to basically mock me in front of my wife. I informed their manager they were not allowed to have any of their techs near my propety ever again. I contacted other companies who either had no clue how to do that type of weld or didn't want to risk damaging my system. Luckily I was reccomended to Angel Air who knew exactly how to fix the chas roberts kmart job. I was told by other companies chas roberts hires guys out of prison to do their work. These guys are a joke trained right off a chain gang. If you call them up to do work on your home make sure you have phone books taped around your waist in case they try and shank you for questioning their amateur work. Maybe thats too harsh, that gives amatuers a bad name. There are hundreds of hvac companies in the Phoenix area

I have a newer home but the three thermostats were acting up. Chas informed me they charge $85 for a basic service call. Actually that is just walking to your door, once inside it’s $150. They informed me the labor cost to replace each thermostat was $200. Estimated time to replace each was 15 minutes. $600 for 45 min of work. I passed. Look elsewhere for service.
