Excellent customer service and expedient and effective HVAC service, even on the 4th of July!
Unreasonable charges. The compressor was icing over so they fixed that with adding 2 pounds of Freon which was $212 and fine. Then they replaced the overflow switch in the pan under the condenser unit in the attic and charged $309 for replacing that switch. The switches are easy to replace and cost about $20. Actually I’m not totally sure the switch was even needed. The compressor was running when we called for service and the purpose of the switch is to stop the compressor from running when there’s water in the pan under the unit in the attic. They were called in on Sunday afternoon and charged $100 for a service call which was fine. These switches are generic for any air condition and are easily replaced. Their defense was they went there on Sunday evening and “who would go there on Sunday evening“. Therefore the charge “is reasonable”. You judge if that’s reasonable I think not. It took me a long time for them to even get back to me to respond why it was so expensive. I basically don’t have a problem with their service and even replacing the switch which I have doubts over. It was the unreasonable charge and taking several weeks for them to explain why the switch needed to be replaced in the first place and the amount of the charge. I will not use them again and I encourage you not to either. I’m not sure how honest they are.
My property manager use Sun Coast to maintain HVAC systems in my five rental properties. in one property they did maintenance four times in less than 8 months and charged me $1,700. They replaced the defrost boards in two different houses in the same day and one technician charged almost double the price of the other tech. the fee for flushing the drain is random depending on the tech I think, one time $160 and one time $260. They are over charging for their service with poor quality that they have to come four times in one house in less than 8 months and flushed the drain twice in one house in less than two months. I requested from my property manager to hire another company.
One of the most honest A/C companies out there. I would avoid the 25 dollar service call companies.
I cannot express the gratitude and gratefulness that I have had and still have after 3 years since we purchased our unit along with our regular M/A 2xs a year from Sun Coast Energy. The employees are an asset to their organization and I am so totally thankful to the owners for also participating and employing such an awesome staff. We have been at a loss a time or two lately with my husband being so ill and they have, without a second thought, been here for us asap when we needed it the most. I would recommend and do refer Sun Coast Energy to anyone in the market for a new or maintaining an existing unit. You couldn't go wrong, I guarantee it! Thanks again Sun Coast Energy!
KYLE! This service tech. represents exactly what a quality and dedicated employee is. He show up when he said he would, gave exact pricing and even though it was an emergency call he was happy to be there and very personable. He repaired my a/c with ease and I felt great after he left that it would work fine and we as a family, could sleep comfortably. He offered me a service plan and I joined immediately. (It was a no brainer). If this is the kind of employees this company hires I'm glad to have them maintain my a/c system from here on out. I own a new company and I could only hope that a "kyle" works for me someday.

Sun Coast Energy installed all new airducts in my very very cramped attic. They knocked it out faster than expected, and everything looks great. I went into my very small attic myself and it really looks like they did a high quality job. It always fantastic to see that kind of workmanship, especially in a very tough environment. I really appreciate their work! I highly recommend them to anyone.
A year ago I had Suncoast energy install a new AC unit. They were very professional and did an excellent job! Today I had Scott do the yearly maintenance and he was awesome! he was on time, very professional did a great job and explained everything to me. He answered all the questions I had
From the first phone call to schedule, to the onsite maintenance appointment and thermostat install, 5 STAR customer service!! Good customer service is rare these days and it's good to know there' are still businesses that provide an OUTSTANDING customer service experience. HIGHLY recommend Sun Coast Energy.
We built a home 3.5 years ago and a different company installed our units. We had trouble with them from day 1 not cooling the second floor. We spent a lot of money on different gadgets and a lot of wasted time with 2 companies before our neighbor recommended Sun Coast. We asked if they would just put new units in upstairs and the owner, James, could have just said yes but instead he personally came out to see what the problem was and within a few hours the upstairs was cooler! Hallelujah! That was the first night in over 3 years that we didn’t wake up in pools of sweat! Our house is cool when we want it cool now. Thank you so much. And next home we build we will definitely be using Sun Coast Energy! 👌

We lost trust in previous HVAC service provider and selected Sun Coast Energy to swap out a Geo Therm unit to a conventional system. James and his crew did the swap out in one day and followed up on a couple visits afterwards to get everything settled. Best decision I’ve made since moving to Elberta. Sun Coast Energy knows the industry and is the only group I’ve found to offer a 2yr warranty on service after the sell. Could not ask for a better response time and a crew that’s trained with experience (not just part replaces). I’d recommend Sun Coast Energy to anyone in need of HVAC without any concerns! Lightning knocked out my a/c and everyone was booked up for a week. Sun Coast called me for same day service, got the parts I needed and got me up and running in a hurry. Ricky was super knowledgable about his job and was more than happy to ask questions. They are my a/c service company of choice.
Kyle and Ryan came to install our outside A/C unit and indoor air handling system. They represented Sun Coast Energy extremely well. Makes me proud to have selected SCE for this work. I also want to mention Jenny and Terri who do great work with respect to Customer Service.... coordination/scheduling and financing. What a great team ! I highly recommend Sun Coast Energy.

We had an A+ experience with Sun Coast Energy. We had a few issues that needed to be assessed, and the owners spoke to me personally on two different occasions. They made some recommendations, but said they'd feel more comfortable coming out to look at things first. They were quick to come out and diagnose the issues. Their service tech was extremely polite, wore booties over his shoes, gloves, and a mask which made me feel even better during this quarantine mess! I would highly recommend Sun Coast!
Our heat went out one evening. The next morning I put a service request through Home Advisor at 6am, got a call within five minutes and had heat by 9:15. Very pleased!!
