They have a fast response time. The issue was quickly fixed by a knowledgeable technician. The service call had a reasonable cost. I definitely recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

I’ll begin with, this company is tier 1, top shelf, world class in every aspect. I had the misfortune of being in need of a new hvac system due to a lightning strike, but through this I had the opportunity to meet Richard, Ryan, and John. All three were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Ryan spent all day here removing the old unit and installing the new, Richard and John came with needed parts, tools, and help with the process. They even repaired a faulty wiring mess created by previous owners as this was causing a major power surge/outage with potential electrical fire.. Well done Alabama Cooling and Heating!

Terrible company to do business with! Been trying to get a brand new unit they installed to work correctly for 8 months! All I got was 550 dollar power bills and until won't cool below 76. Had to get the state board involved.

Alabama Heating and Cooling has went above and beyond expectations for me. I can honestly say they are the best, as they were the 6th company I’d had at my house. I had gotten quotes from 5 others. The 5th had told me they would install on Friday. Friday came and went so did the following Monday. My unit was broken I had no air only emergency heat. I had met Alabama H/C secretary that same week and told her that I was having someone install on that Friday otherwise I would have let her company install. She still gave me her number if I needed anything. When the 5th company didn’t show up I called her on Tuesday and let her know. BY WEDNESDAY MY HOUSE WAS COOL! Yep Alabama H/C showed up and did the install they replaced both units for me for cheaper than the 1st quote I had gotten! So before you have to go thru the headache of all the quotes and people not calling you back/showing up just give Alabama Heating and Cooling a call. Kenzie will have someone at your door faster than jimmy johns can deliver a sandwich and before you know it your house will be back to cool without a huge bill! If I would have went with the first company I would have spent 12,800 on one unit, my second quote was 10,500 the next 8,000, finally got down to 6800, the one I went with was going to be 5800 that’s the company that didn’t show up and then Alabama heating and cooling matched it and so I replaced both units because my upstairs wasn’t cooling when I turned it on and I still paid less than quote 1 for just one unit. Researched a number of companies before selecting them to install 2 new trane systems and 2 hot water heaters. Total spend was approximately $25K. They were very responsive until they were paid. Followup on warranty issues have been a challenge. They schedule appointments and then fail to show up, you reschedule and then it happens again. Today, when I called to see when the next reschedule would be I was told they did not know but would call me back in a few minutes after they called the owner, Richard Mixson. 3 hours later, still no call back. I called back and asked why I had not received a call back. She had no good answer but did point out to me that I could always go elsewhere for warranty service. I explained that I understood that but I had paid them for 1 year of service. I realized after that call that I had made a mistake in selecting them. I know that Richard has had some health issues which might explain the lack of professionalism and service from the rest of the staff. So I took their advice and called another company to provide service this week. I'll just have to treat this is a lesson learned. Alabama Cooling and Heating cannot be relied upon in my opinion and experience.

Took 6 days to complete install, numerous reasons why things didnt work, left exhaust pipe sticking 4’ out of roof, roofer supposed to come 3 weeks ago, has never shown. Doorbell camera went out same time. Technician came out today and said wire has been cut in attic. Recommended electrician troubleshoot. The only thing they did do above the scope of installation was rewire thermostat.

What can I say about Alicia and Tanner at Alabama Cooling and Heating but WOW!!! My blower went out while on vacation and when the people who installed our system diagnosed it they said the part was under warranty but the labor would be $860 and it would take 3 to 5 days to get the part. $860 for a 1 hour job!!! I called Alicia at ACH and she said it would be less than half of what the other company was going to charge. Not only was it cheaper, but she got the part the next day. Tanner came out and was very polite, professional and neat. He pulled the old blower out and had the new one in and cooling in just over an hour. Thanks guys for getting me taken care of so fast. I will definitely be sending you guys a LOT of referrals. I was in the heating and air business for 10 years and believe me, these guys are on top of their game and treat a customer right.

My unit was not properly cooling and we had no idea why. Our outdoor unit was infested with wasps and wasps nests. The service tech, Gene went above and beyond cleaning my unit and getting me up and rolling quickly!

We had a new replacement unit installed by AHC. After a lifetime in Construction Management I know good work, effeciency and skill when I see it. Install in a matter of hours, neat package, attention to details and clean up, knowledgeable lead technician who answered all an old man's persnikity questions easily.

Very satisfied with the air conditioning systems replacement. Twelve years ago Alabama Cooling and Heating and cooling replaced my condenser and evaporator units and they had worked without any problems. Due to the age of my air conditioning units and furnaces I decided to replace them before problems started. Richard quoted me a price that was lower than other suppliers and the installation was better than expected. After using Alabama Heating and Cooling two times I can say without a doubt that they are my first choice for my air conditioning needs. Very professional and friendly people that do the job right.

Richard, Ed, and the team have always given us the service we needed over the years. The most recent experience was back in early December. Our central unit had gone out and upon investigation our duct work had corroded at some of the joints. Due to the size of our home and the needs of our family, Richard suggested the Mini-split option. We went with the Fujitsu units and could not be happier. We only heat and cool the parts of the house we use the most, and we have immediate climate control in the other areas when we need it. Best of all, this past month was the lowest electric bill my wife or I can remember. Ease of service, years of expertise, professional installation, and they left our home cleaner and better than they found it. Alabama Cooling and Heating heard our concerns, found a solution, and met our needs in a manner that left us completely satisfied!
