They don't service the type of mini-split unit I am having problems with, but they returned my call and gave me a lot of suggestions for what could be going on and what to tell another technician so that I didn't get ripped off. So friendly and thoughtful, I really appreciated that! She didn't have to go out of her way to help me out but she did. If they did service what I needed, I'd 100% feel comfortable calling them and if I ever install a new unit I will definitely see them!
I've been a customer for over seven years and this company never disappoints! They are the best of the best. Extremely knowledgeable, cost efficient and always service with a smile. They go above and beyond to make the customer happy.

I highly recommend Westchester Heating & Cooling. They are truly professional, courteous, very responsive and very friendly. They responded to our urgent need for a/c repair so quickly, and got us back up and functioning during the unbearable heat. Antoinette and Gerard are so personable and friendly; they keep in touch on schedules, and they followed up after the work was completed to make sure everything is running perfectly. The price they quoted was very reasonable and that was the price we paid. Very honest in their business dealings and we are happy to say that this will be our permanent "go-to" company for any and all future a/c needs. I cannot say enough good things about the excellent service.
Our central air system stopped working on a Saturday. Called Westchester Heating and Cooling. They returned our call quickly and we arranged to have them come and look at the system on Monday. Within two days we signed the contract and arranged for the work to be done. They were prompt, efficient, removing the old system and completing the replacement without delays. We highly recommend this company
We required emergency oil burner replacement. It was Friday Dec 13 and it was cold out. Westchester Heating &Cooling adjusted their schedule to inspect our needs immediately. The price was comparable, However, as i would appreciate later, the value was OUTSTANDING! We chose WHC because Gerard educated us to the whys and the hows of what caused the problems and what he would do to make it right. He was always improving on the install. As a contractor this was invaluable for me and my client. WHC got started right away and didn’t stop until the heat was on. WHC is my service company!
Central AC failed in the dead of summer. Antoinette & Gerard walked us through the whole process from beginning to end - super responsive, courteous, and really cared about our family's well-being. From the very start, not only were they kind enough to offer a portable AC to cool our home while we waited for service, they also redid duct work, upgraded our machinery, and was incredibly honest in how we needed to proceed. We wound up replacing the system but also installed an additional heat pump to replace the oil heating in our home. With the last few cold nights, it's really been a big change! Previously our baseboard oil heating would barely climb a few degrees, now with the new system and forced heat from the ceiling vents, our home heats up 6 degrees in no time at all! I'm going to be so happy to put away my space heaters and equally happy when next summer rolls around and we are not dying of heat! Thanks to the Eric & Chris as well as the whole GAD team. Great group of human beings, gave us straightforward answers to questions, was honest in what steps needed to be done, never felt they were ripping us off (and have experienced that with other HVAC companies who just dont give you as much information). Highly recommend and will give personal recommendations to Gerard and his team going forward!
So nice. Had issues with furnace last winter and while part needed to be ordered they went back to shop to get space heaters for all of our rooms. Best in class
I called and spoke with Antoinette on a Sunday afternoon and explained that my A/C was not blowing cool air, she informed me that she would be able to send someone out within the next day or too. The next day, Gerard and Eric showed up , and they were able to adjust the fans on my A/C unit that tripped because of a power surge. They also cleaned my vents and resent the temp on my thermostat. I would just have to say, that these are the people I would forever want working on my units. Everyone is so professional, knowledgeable, fast and friendly. I want to take a moment to share what a pleasant experience I had with Westchester Heating and Cooling that made my life so much more comfortable this summer. After spending so much time and attention helping me set up my air conditioning, I really want to thank Toni, in particular, because now I have a home that is cool and comfortable. She really went the extra mile, and I couldn't possibly be more grateful for the kindness. Highly recommend.
GAD is a top-notch Heating & Cooling Company; I can’t say enough positive things about them! They impressed me every step of the way! I called GAD with a very complex, retro-fit job hoping they would even consider correcting the horrible job that had been previously done. They called me back within 24 hours and scheduled an appointment, and was on time. Gerard spent a lot of time evaluating the situation and fully explained the options and gave me his professional advice. He gave me options and promised a quote for both scenarios within 2-3 days. The installation of the new equipment and retro-fit job was done on schedule and is a masterpiece. The system runs beautifully and is well balanced in all of the rooms. His office staff, Antoinette was super helpful and informed me of what was happening every step of the way. Gerard and his team provided a level of service that was beyond any service company I’ve ever hired. Gerard was super courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable and conducted business with the upmost integrity. I would highly recommend GAD to anyone needing service or a new installation.
This company is the absolute best! Antoinette is awesome! She checked up on our situation days after Gerard and Ryan fixed the issue. You can tell she really cares! Speaking of the guys, Gerard and Ryan were just as awesome! They went above and beyond to get my heat working again and I must say the area they had to work in was not the most comfortable but they didn't let that stop them. A++ company and staff as well. Gerard also called later to check up on me, thanks again everyone!!
We just switched from an oil burner to a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat system. This was a complex installation with the addition of duct work and all of the new hardware. It's obvious Gerard cares about his customers as he did an amazing job and it was a pleasure to be around him during the installation; Gerard does his work with the same level of care for his customers as he would for a family member. My wife and I will now be GAD Air customers for life and we would highly recommend GAD Air to anyone who needs service or a new installation. Further, it was a pleasure speaking with Antoinette on the phone, she was very helpful and informative during the completion of the the job. Thanks Gerard and the rest of the GAD Air team for the great work!

My wife, who is six months pregnant, and I realized during the first cold spell this year that we weren't getting any heat to the house. I contacted Westchester Heating and Cooling and they came out later that day to assess the situation and diagnosed the problem quickly. They dropped off space heaters that night so at least we had some heat in the house, and then fit us in the next few days to assure that our heat was fixed. Not only did they fix the furnace, but also added ducts to areas of the house to provide better airflow and made sure every room had adequate heat. The staff was very friendly and courteous, and very transparent with what the issues were and what fixes they were implementing. I would highly recommend.
I recently in November of 2018 had G.A.D Air replace my HVAC unit in my town-home which is located in Putnam County N.Y. First, I want to say Antoinette was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to speak with over the telephone. And Gerard was "AWESOME" from the very first day he walked into my home. He installed a Carrier Comfort condenser a/c heat pump, Carrier air handler and zoned the home during the thanksgiving holidays. Gerard, wanted to insure I had heat during this special holiday. As of today, the unit is working great! I highly recommend this company.
This company is fantastic! My Mom’s AC was broken on a 95 degree evening when we had family over and they came right over and fixed it for us. Gerard is a pleasure to work with - can’t thank them enough!

As a new home owner with a home that had decades under its belt already with no central system, Gerard and the folks at Westchester heating and cooling put me at ease that I'd be able to retrofit the house. In no time flat, they'd measured it out and figured out a great system that would cool all parts of my new home! It was such a pleasure to work with Westchester on this project, they really made it easy to keep moving the project forward and did great work while respecting my home. The system worked from the moment it turned on and we found ourselves nice and chilly (it's the Summer). I'd highly recommend Westchester heating and cooling!
