Bill was a breath of fresh air compared to other AC Servicemen we'd worked with in the past from other companies. He was honest about where our current A/C was running inefficiently, and gave suggestions about how to improve the current system. He was transparent, and did not come off as trying to sell us a new system-- he made us feel as though he was genuinely trying to help us. We wish that we bought our A/C through Velocity, rather than the other company that we used!

The experience with this company has been amazing. From the initial conversation with Nathen, to Eric coming out and doing the consultation, to Jason and Ronnell really going above and beyond to replace a 17 yr old stubborn A/C unit. Had Velocity over several times in a two month period to check my ac. They kept doing the bare minimum to get the system working. Once the system responds, they leave, breaks again a couple weeks later, cycle repeats. When they tried to charge me $200 to replace a contactor, it was the last straw

The first technician/salesman was courteous and friendly, and I decided to go with what he suggested for my unit. It was poorly installed by another company roughly a year ago, and I wanted it reinstalled for peace of mind. He gave me a quote for that and also suggested adjusting the fan speed in the meantime to try and help with some condensation issues inside the air handler. So he did that and I forget the exact charge, but it was something like $150. A couple weeks later, coincidentally on the morning of the day the company came back out to do the reinstall, the ac froze and stopped working. The techs that came out this time said it was because my fan speed was set too low. I was really really frustrated that the company that I was trusting to fix my ac had apparently just done something to screw it up. But I let them go ahead with the install, at least giving some credit for honesty. They did a fair enough job as far as I can tell so far. Before the techs left calling the job complete, I had to point out a huge air leak they had left in the return box or whatever it's called, which the tech sealed with a bunch of caulking. That was also disappointing, but hopefully not a sign of overall workmanship (all I can do is hope at this point). The work is guaranteed for a year, so at least there's that. Overall, the work seems ok - mediocre I guess - but I was hoping for more, and so I was disappointed a few times along the way. Side note, as far as punctuality etc., my job had to be rescheduled two times. Once I was told because the tech was hurt, which I am compassionate towards, however he ended up not even being the one to do the job a week and a half later, so I don't understand why someone else couldn't have been sent to complete the job on time in the first place. The second time I was told it was because someone didn't show up for work so they were short handed. How my job... already having been rescheduled once... was chosen as one of the jobs t

I recently saw some great reviews of Velocity, and then when my older AC unit began to fail, I called Velocity up right away, I was concerned to get this resolved quickly, but this being the dead of summer in FL, I was a bit anxious about it. But, within about 2 hrs of me calling them, James from Velocity arrived and quickly assessed my problem. We decided on a new unit and James was able to get me a price I was happy with on the ideal system I wanted. I appreciate the special effort as the production manager, Payt, brought over a portable AC unit and installed it so me and my wife could sleep that night. The next morning, Velocity sent over Victor and Ray to install my new AC unit, and they worked meticulously and pretty much non-stop for 9-10 hrs, until it was done, and done beautifully. It was a tricky install and they were up for it. So pleased with their work, attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent service! These guys are the real deal, I highly recommend! Thank you again, Velocity, you got a customer for life.

I have asthma and my a/c went out. My previous a/c man retired so I just started calling around. Several asked my credit rati g so I promptly hung up. When I called your company I was greeted by a pleasant person who sounded like they were willing to come out within an hour. The service man who fixed our unit was honest and nice. He didn't try to give us a line of you know what. I would give your company 5 stars

I purchased a 2 ton air conditioner and air handler for my property at 4211 Burlington Avenue N, St Petersburg, FL 33713. I am disappointed in the performance of the unit! The size of the house is 975 square feet and a 2 ton system should be able to cool the house to the desired temperature. The system struggles to keep the house at 76 degrees when the thermostat is set to 74 degrees or lower. We've already had one service call because the amount of air flow from the registers was very low. It is still low and is not satisfactory. My experience with Velocity Air was nothing I had expected. They called immediately after I did a search for repairs for my AC. Arrived at my house within the hour just like they said my technician Jay would (told me who to expect),even though the tropical storm was moving in. Jay was courteous and professional. After looking at my unit he came and simply explained the problem so I was assured what the issue was. After agreeing to do the repair he finished the job. Upon completion he showed me the broken part and what was wrong with it. He did not try to oversell or take advantage. He did inform me of another minor problem he came across but no pressure to repair immediately. The reason I said at the beginning my experience was nothing I expected was I didn't think there we're still reputable repair companies around anymore. I will be calling Velocity back to repair the minor issue Jay had pointed out. Velocity if you read this let Jay know I said Thank-you again. I will refer your company anytime I can.

Condo air conditioner quit working, called two air conditioner company's which didn't respond. Call Velocity, they came right out and made repairs on my old unit but stated that the unit was old and would be wise to replace. The old unit failed within 24 hours. I called Velocity, they came out to see if they could get it running. I told them to replace it. The next day they were out and installed a new air conditioner. The job was done in about 5 hours, installed neat and cleaned up after themselves. The new installation did not pass the first inspection (3 minor problems), Velocity came right out and corrected them. Air conditioner passed the next day. As with any modern equipment installation there were things I didn't like, but overall I'm very satisfied with Velocity Air Conditioning & Heating. The office personnel are Excellent!

Actually I was disappointed I paid for him to clean my air handler and outside unit. He was there 30 minutes, tops, says he sprayed the outside coils then tried to offer me a 400 dollar cleaning of the inner coils, stating he had to pull the entire air handler to clean it.
