I never usually write reviews, but oh boy this company is something else... so we hired this company last year to come fix our dryer at our business and they fixed it... So, our dryer breaks down again and we called them again for service... really rude over the phone ... miscommunication between them and the staff there. Grace or Angel especially very rude! We were going to give them business again and they came gave us an estimate of $1600 to repair our dryer and they said the part would take up to 30 days to order...(complete b.s) Whenever the staff there (GRACE OR ANGEL) I made my initial appointment and she scheduled it and then they came a day later from our appointment date without even calling me or letting me know I HAD TO CALL, NOT EVEN APLOGETIC OR ANYTHING AS IF IT WAS OUR FAULT, the repair man who arrived at our business was very rude as well I'm not sure if that's just the attitude he has or ?? The part we needed I asked them was there a way for us to receive it sooner she said they would have to check with their parts guy, and I said okay could you call me back once you figure that out THEY NEVER CALL BACK, I HAVE TO FOLLOW UP EVERYTIME! We wanted a second opinion we called Fuse they came over the weekend 6/24 and repaired the dryer today 6/28. Why is it that this company charged us only $800 got the part right away and even gave a 1-year warranty while this SUNNY HVAC is complete headache and rude as hell.

In May of 2021 we used Sunny Appliance repair to troubleshoot our refrigerator issue. They determined that it need a new compressor which we installed and paid for. On June 4 of 2023 the refrigerator started to have issues making ice, then items in the freezer started getting warmer. I called and made an appointment for Tuesday June 6 between 1-3. When no one had shown up by 3pm Tuesday I called. They insisted that the repair person had shown up an hour previously. I was home the whole time with 2 dogs who would have certainly heard their presence if I did not hear them. I believe that they intentionally went to the wrong house so they could get out of standing up for the quality of the repair work done previously. I would not recommend using this company. I have called another company to troubleshoot the refrigerator issue. I have no confidence with Sunny Appliance Repair.

UPDATED REVIEW:The company was quick to respond and apologize for the incident. We were offered a revisit or refund in exchange for a review update. We accepted the refund. ORIGINAL REVIEW: TOTALLY UNSAFE WORK PRACTICES!!! I used their service for a straightforward furance gas valve replacement. The technician they sent replaced the valve, but afterwards we found it leaking at the fittings via soap bubble test. He came back and just torqued the union down so much it cracked the line. While replacing the line, we noticed he didn't use any gas tape or pro dope. WE LITERALLY HAD TO TEACH HIM HOW TO DO HIS JOB!!! He then wrapped the tape in the wrong direction. The worst of all, HE TRIED TO TEST FOR GAS LEAK WITH A HAND LIGHTER!!!! We had to show him how to use soap bubbles. They need to seriously screen their technicians.

Had someone from Sunny HVAC come out to check on Sunday for our SubZero fridge/freezer for a few issues - ice was forming on the rails of the freezer door, the ice machine wasn’t making ice and the temperatures were fluctuating in fridge. Sunny HVAC came out and told us he had “bad news” and we needed both compressors replaced because one was completely broken and the other was leaking - would be $7-10k rough estimate. Called Box Appliances when they opened on Monday for a second opinion. Box diagnosed it and said there was a small leak on one compressor but the other one looked great. He added Freon and said to keep an eye on the leak - if it does require replacement it would be ~$2k with labor. Sunny said $2500 for the part ALONE and they said both needed to be replaced! They also told us we would have to take everything out of our freezer for 48 hours to let the frozen switches thaw to fix the ice machine - Box fixed the switches in 5 minutes. If you have a SubZero avoid these guys - call Box Appliances! They are certified to work with SubZero.

When the compressor of our LG refrigerator of barely 5 years old was broken, LG connected us to Sunny HVAC and Appliance Repair in the Bay Area to rescue. Even though the repair was done, the refrigerator has been making excessive humming noise since. I had been wearing 3M ear plugs in the living room where the refrigerator is adjacently located. LG has reviewed my dB reading report and has confirmed the noise level is excessive and has authorized to replace with another compressor. What a bummer. I feel they should have gotten the job done properly in the first place. Finally, a reliable LG authorized repair shop in the Bay Area with authentic LG compressor fixed the problem with professional ease. Trying on Sunny took agonizing 9 months with indifferent response. When it comes to LG appliances they are ‘NOT authorized’ repair shop as they claim. And it proved so.

I used their services twice. Both the times they are prompt, professional and addressed the issue immediately. I would have given them straight 5 stars but for the very high charges to refill (R22) refrigerant and when requested twice for explanation they didn't respond. They charged around $1000 for 3.5 lbs of R22. Quick web search shows we can get $325 for 5 lbs at one place and $1620 for 30 lbs at another place. PS: If I get a satisfactory explanation I will not only write a new 5-star review but I will use them again.

I had Sunny HVAC fix my icemaker in January. It worked for a few months then stopped, despite the fact that they completely replaced the icemaker. They sent a technician over quickly to repair it but it still didn't work. I am still waiting for them to make it right. I don't know if they know what they are doing. I would not recommend this business.

Very quick to respond and on time arrival, diagnosed the problem quick. What i appreciated the most was I had done few troubleshooting steps my self , the technician did not judge or frown upon my novice skills but rather educated me on some mis interpretation on my part. it was compressor gone wrong, Then came back a week later and installed it in 1.5 hrs, quietly and expertly and even through that process taught me a thing or two. My Fridge is back on working and super appreciate their work

These guys came out and repaired my heater, which was working off and on. Then they permanently broke it when they made their repair. I've been trying to get them on the phone to understand the hell they did, but they have been giving me the run around for about 6 months now. *edited to respond* Yes, I definitely am in your system because I literally just talked to you on the phone an hour ago. The last clear message I got from Alexander was from August of 2021 that you were ordering parts. I just spoke with you this afternoon, where you said that you would check in with your technician. It's now January 2022.
