2 years ago my HVAC system well past it years needed to be replaced. It was recommended that I contact Maurice. But before I reached out to him I contacted the company that installed the first unit and got an estimate. I then contacted Stewart Air and Maurice came out and not only gave me a reasonable estimate but helped me understand the workings of the different brands and units. No matter how often I asked questions he was patient and explained it again until I understood. I decided on a unit and we went from there with no problem. He was here on the day of the install assisting and making sure everything was properly installed and that the unit was working 100. I recently contacted the office for routine service. Maurice came out and while here he told me some things to do to keep my unit running efficiently and the importance of keeping the unit maintained which was very helpful. I'm a first-time homeowner and I was referred to Maurice by a relative about 2 years ago. In moving into my house in the Bartram area in 2019, I used Stewart Air to come check out to check my unit and top off freon if needed because it was freezing up. At that time, I felt the service and the value of the service performed was right on time. I was appreciative of his help. Unfortunately, I'm realizing that I have a "zoned" AC unit with two thermostats running off this single unit and have been having a problem with the unit icing up. I called Maurice and explained the problem. He assured me that he would send someone out to take a look at the unit and test for any leaks. If a leak is detected, they'll seal that leak. I was informed that depending on the severity, the cost would range from $400 on upward to $700. I agreed. When the technician arrived to my house, I showed him around and re-explained the problem I was having. 20 minutes into his visit he walked up to me and said "okay ma'am that'll be $425". Of course I was puzzled, and began questioning the work that was done. The gentleman was polite in letting me know that he couldn't find any leak, but did notice that I was low on refrigerant, so he completely filled the condenser with refrigerant. I asked him again, "so you didn't identify any leak?" His answer was no. So in conclusion all they did was top off the refrigerant and nothing more. To my amazement, I was charged $425 just for a refrigerant refill. I called Maurice again, livid because I realized I have been totally ripped off. He never called me back, but did respond to my email questioning the invoice. The invoice clearly stated that they not only detected leaks but that they sealed them, which was completely false. His technician confirmed they couldn't find a leak at all. I have been upset all weekend and it sad to me when you get taken advantage of, better yet, lied to by someone you thought was a professional. I've let Maurice know I'll never use
I spoke with Maurice at Stewart air regarding a new unit. I told him that I needed both my inside and outside piece to be changed. he was very honest and transparent with his pricing and services. he had his team come do the job and they were perfect with timing and there services. I will for sure keep Stewart air for all my air conditioning needs.
Maurice came to my house and diagnosed two main issues, fixed it as soon as the part came in, and now I'm back in the cool A/C and happy!! He always returned text messages and was always on top of what's going on and when it would be fixed. This is my third house with them. Highly recommend them or I'd not be writing this.... Pat
I called them yesterday morning for my 17 years old A/C froze up and the inside unit will not come on after it defrost. A service technician came out from the first A/C company did a diagnostic examination and told me it would cost me $$$$$ for a whole new unit. I thought the amount were a bit high. I called around to several other companies asking for an estimate quote based on the information from the first company. They all gave me a roughly ball figure. When I spoke to Mr. Maurice, he did the same thing and asked if he can come out to see the unit. His roughly quote is what made me decided to allow him to come out and see the unit himself. A few dollar the price went up because of a bad wire, he still beat the other prices with him seeing the unit. I liked that very much and I told him I will call him the next day. The next day I called Mr. Maurice and he kept to his word that he can install the A/C unit today. At 1117hrs , Stewart Air Conditioner were at house to start work. The workers were very professional and ready to work. They did not let the little rain disturbed them at all. The quality of work performed by Stewart Air Conditioner service were phenonium. The value for the equipment and installation, I saved $1700 . I am very please with the outcome and will recommend them to anyone that needs a good Air Conditioner company in the state of Florida. A business that cares about their customers wants and needs with affordable equipment and services is my type of Company. I appreciate you all, very much in handling this matter in a timely manner. I would like to add my review to Stewart Air. I work for a nationwide security company and was at Mr. Stewart's home doing some repairs. We struck up a conversation and I asked him if he would look at my system and give me an estimate to replace it. It hadn't worked in two years and at the time my wife was diagnosed with cancer and was uncomfortable enough as it was. Mr Stewart said yes but first get 3 or 4 estimate from the big franchise folks and then call me. He told me he would look at the estimates, show me where they were cutting corners and then install a very efficient Rheem unit at the cost of my lowest estimate. His men came out and did a great job, Mr Stewart himself came out to power it up and check all the functions. Not only did it work amazingly, he upsized it because I mentioned that one day I might like to add a room so he put in a unit big enough to handle the extra living space Overall I would gladly recommend Mr. Stewart & Stewart Air highly. If you’re ever in doubt with the others! Please contact Stewart-Air, LLC. I had two other companies come out to my home and both conclusions were different, Unit still wasn’t fixed, unless a hight dollar amount was paid. Maurice came out and provided detailed information regarding my Unit! My Unit is working again and blowing like new! Superior Customer Service with a very professional mindset... Thanks
WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! Go with this company at your own risk. First, and older gentleman came out to the property and spent 4 hours trying to put in a motor, in addition to the motor, we purchased another part from only to find out it was old and rusted from another a.c. company. Why did we need another a.c. company? Because after spending tons of money and 4 different visits, the a.c. still does not work. STAY AWAY!! DON'T TRUST THE MANAGER MAURICE! They will assure you they will get the job done, only to do shotty work. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
