Been a while since i called them for a repairs but I just recommended them to a family member. I remember they came out early in the morning and the service was prompt and prices were honest.
My A/C slash heater was not working in our condo unit. I called three different A/C people and Squid Heating and Cooling was the only one who bothered to call me back. We set up an appointment for the next day. The owner Daniel and his apprentice came out and worked on my Unit. They were 30 minutes late but Daniel called ahead to let me know they were coming late. Other companies give you 2 to 4 hour times to be at your place and they still come late expecting you to skip work or stay at your house until they come like their time is more important. Squid heating and Cooling did not do that. Daniel said he would be there at one and he came at one thirty. When they arrived they were professional found the problem/problems and fixed the problems in a timely matter. Now I know nothing about A/C units they could have easily told me I needed a new one or this expensive part or there is a tiny blue unicorn wreaking havoc in the unit and I might have believed them and bought another unit. I did not have that sick feeling that I am being fooled or mislead. On top of all that they only charged me the diagnostic fee / show up fee. They did not charge me for the labor since my problem was not to major. I total trust Squid Heating and Cooling and will definitely use them again and tell my friends about this company. I was having a problem with my A/C unit ... I first contacted a HVAC contractor who came out and told me I would need a brand new A/C unit because my compressor had fried and tried to sell me a new one for $3500.00 Something smelled a little fishy to me so I decided to get a second opinion. I then contacted SQUID Heating & Cooling, my experience from the get go was GREAT! I spoke with the owner Daniel Lewis and explained to him that my A/C unit was not working he was on another job but said he could stop by within 2 hours. He arrived timely as promised and within 5 minutes he had discovered that one of my dogs had broken the electrical wire running to the A/C unit, Daniel spent time checking out the unit for any other concerns and did in fact have my A/C running within a short time. Squid charged me less then a $100 dollars for the repair. My A/C is about 13 years old and I know I will need to replace it soon, one thing for sure is SQUID will be the company I will call when the time comes for a NEW A/C Thanks, Daniel its nice to know there are honest people out there!!!
