We have a 10 year old HVAC unit that stopped blowing cold air on a Sunday. On Monday, I called one of the big names in Sacramento (one we pay a monthly fee to for annual maintenance), the soonest they could come out was Thursday. As we have a young child and it was getting warmer I wanted this fixed ASAP. I proceeded to call multiple companies (6 to be exact) to get someone out sooner than Thursday. The first Company couldn’t find anything wrong with it, although it wasn’t working, and suggested we have our ducts cleaned. The second and third companies gave me a couple replacement piece options estimated to cost between $3-6k but disclosed they wouldn’t know if the replacements would fix the problem until we installed the new components — and were out the money. In addition to the replacement options, each of the companies made sure to mention the unit was old and we should considered having them quote me on a new unit. After the visits I felt confused (should I spend $3-6k to maybe fix the unit or replace the unit for a lot more?) After 3 unhappy estimates, all by the big companies in Sacramento, I decided to get another opinion from a smaller company. After a quick online search, I found Brandon. With multiple 5 star reviews I gave him a call and I’m so glad I did. Brandon came out fast and fixed it before presenting me with “maybe this will work options.” Instead of throwing out ideas, having me pay, then hoping that solved the problem, he fixed it and without obligation to pay anything. Once it was fixed we discussed the cost of the parts and I was given the option to pay for the parts or he could remove the pieces and I could get another quote. The way he explained what he did, how/why it worked, we felt confident in his ability and happily paid for the parts and his time. Since our unit is old, we are having him return to quote us for replacing the unit. If we choose to replace the unit, he even offered to apply what we paid to bandaid the issue to the cost
I’m so glad I found Speedi Air. My AC unit was running continuous warm air when it was 90F outside. Brandon answered my first call to their number in the morning. I explained what was happening with the AC and was able to accomodate me for an appointment in the afternoon that same day. He checked the unit, found what was wrong and had to order some parts. He disconnected the heat strips temporarily so that I could run the unit in cool mode without warm air while waiting for the parts. He is very professional, provided updates about the parts, and was able to fix the unit in a timely manner. His service price is competitive and reasonable. I would definitely recommend Speedi Air to anyone with AC issues.
Brandon is a great contractor he is very knowledgeable and great at what he does he walked me through everything he did to fix my ac. I very much recommend you go with with him for all your hvac needs!
Brandon was GREAT!!! I found him here on Thumbtack, he was super responsive and knowledgeable. Brandon was prompt for the appointment, tuned up my AC unit, gave my advice on what I needed to do to keep my unit running smoothly, got rid of a weird noise I was hearing when the unit was on annnnd installed my ecobee Thermostat that was collecting dust for 2 years on my shelf. Definitely recommend! Thank you Brandon!
Brandon was fantastic. He came on a SUNDAY (!) evening and had the issue diagnosed and repaired in 30 minutes. Will definitely call him again for any future HVAC issues.
Speedi Air/Brandon is superior in his services. I required a routine maintenance which turned out that a fan is needed. During my initial maintenance call, Brandon was very informative with what he was doing and why. He helped me realize as a home owner what I needed to do (replace filters timely) to sustain the life of my air conditioner. He was on time with his service window, friendly service, and the price of service was very competitive. I was unable to select Value and punctuality with this app. These two adjective's apply also. I appreciate the service and plan to use Speedi Air in the future.
We had needed a repair done on our heating system, when i reached out to Brandon, he was timely in his response and was able to come out the following day. He was friendly and comfortable to talk to and explained everything that he was going to do to fix our heater! This is the business i will be using to replace our AC unit!
Our 20-year-old system is still hanging in there, but Brandon fine-tuned it and found one problem area that he fixed at a reasonable price to keep it going (a run capacitor that was in need of replacement). He's very knowledgeable, personable, and does high-end work at a fair price. I would definitely use SpeediAir again.
