I called Matt at 7am on a Sunday when my AC unit had died and left him a message. He was quickly in contact with me and arrived to assess the situation. It was a problem that required a part that he didn’t have. However, by the end of the day a new fan motor was installed and my 17 year old Trane has run the best it ever has. I was impressed at how Matt walks you through the WHY. Most people will just tell you that you need this part but don’t explain the reason why. 5 stars for SPARTAN HVAC.
In the past 7@ days out capacitor went out and the following was our tan motor. Not only could Spartan come out same day and fix the issue, they also did it on a Sunday in late June. I could not ask for more professionalism, being on time, and standing behind their word. I would recommend 10/10 each time.

Matt is thorough, professional, and friendly. We had a problem with our AC not cooling last year, and he was quick to respond and add to his schedule to get everything working again. We've had him doing maintenance since then to keep our system in top shape. Highly recommended to Helena and the surrounding areas.
I don't know where to start. From the customer service, to the attention to detail whilst installing the unit.. to following up the next day to check on how things were going. I honestly see why this Mans company has nothing but 5 ⭐! When I get quotes for work being done, I don't necessarily go with the lowest bid.. you have to be in the same "range", but I go off of reviews.. small things in reviews. - he mounted my pump on the side of the units evaporator vs on the floor in the way.. that's attention to detail.. - he ran the wiring nice and neat... That's attention to detail.. - he even calibrated my ecobee thermostat.. to make sure the ambient temperature and unit were synced up.. that's attention to detail.. Everything about Spartan is very much deserving of the reviews he gets!! Matt has an Excellent company on his hands and I wish him continued success!!
OK, so finding an HVAC professional that you can trust might as well be likened to picking the winning lottery ticket. It's unfortunate, but true. We met Matt through another HVAC person and the two of them replaced our AC system in our home. Matt also responded to a service call for us once before while the other person was out of town. So, we had been familiar with him. When we found out that the other HVAC person we had used is no longer doing HVAC work, we were a bit panicked, but he reminded us about Matt, so we reached out. He got back to us immediately and provided thorough, thoughtful insight and guidance. It ended up that a service call was going to be necessary, so he got to us right away. When I say this guy doesn't leave until he's 110% certain that the work he has done is accurate, reliable and complete, I'm speaking the gospel. I wound up paying way less than what I would have been charged by another person, as the job ran into unexpected oddball hiccups, but Matt had already quoted the job and he didn't even hint at going up on that original quote. There are 2 types of people in the service industries. There are those who are looking to make as much as they can off of each opportunity they get and there are those who are looking to do the best job they can at a fair price each opportunity they get and trust that they will be rewarded with both repeat business and referrals. Well... if you're reading this, you probably already realize that Matt is the latter. Put him in your phone and rest easy knowing you've found your "HVAC guy."

Matt was awesome. He swapped our coil out very quickly and at a reasonable price. His quote was $1900 less than the competition for the same job. He has a new repeat customer for sure.
Such a great experience with Matt and Spartan Heating and Air. He is so knowledgeable and figured out exactly what was going on with our problematic air conditioning unit. He is honest and does great work. So thankful for the time he spent at our home replacing our AC unit. I wholeheartedly recommend Matt and Spartan Heating and Air!
Matt is extremely professional and responds in a timely manner. He replaced our furnace last winter quickly and did a great job. Then again this week he worked on our old AC unit and had us cooled down in a day. Could not recommend him enough!
Wow !! Where do I begin!! Matt is HVAC super hero!! And that’s is an understatement!! He came to see me Sunday afternoon! Not only did he do a great job repairing my furnace and AC unit he explained it to me so well, now I feel like I can repair it myself ! I would recommend that Matt and this company do all of your HVAC repairs !! Customs for life!!!!
Matt was very professional and knowledgeable! He walked us through the process and made sure we understood the work that would be done. I would definitely recommend him for any hvac needs and we will be using him in the future.
Matt was fantastic and made the entire process form start to finish and great experience. Luckily for us, he was available to come out almost immediately and confirmed that our 18 year old unit had indeed died. He talked me through absolutely everything from what parts went out, why they went out, what he would do to make sure we didn’t have any issues with our new unit. He was quick to call around and find out parts and sent us an detailed quote the next day. On install day they were actually early; I don’t think I’ve ever had a service technician be early. They worked hard all day and our new unit is running great, and all four of our kids and their parents are very thankful. This was our first time having to replace a unit as we are relatively new to home owning. We were very nervous because we’ve been burned by technicians before. We couldn’t have gotten better service, the price was great, and overall it felt like dealing with close friends. Thanks again!

Great experience. Called late night and Spartan responded immediately. Came out on a Holiday to fix my HVAC. Always friendly and explains exactly what is happening with the system and preventative measures to keep it from happening again. Would recommend to anybody without hesitation.
Matt came out same day and did a great job diagnosing my unit. He really took care of me and my family and worked very hard to get us operational again. He talked me through all of my options and treated me like he would his neighbor. Would highly recommend him!
Matt was a tremendous help. He came out with a professional attitude and was extremely friendly that even our dog was warming up to him. He got the job done in a timely matter and I will be calling him back every time we have a problem. No questions asked about that. Very reasonably on the price too!
