Fantastic service ! Rob was efficient, knowledgeable and took the time to explain what exactly what was going on. He identified and maintenanced other things that would’ve turned into near future issues . 10/10 .
Avoid if you have Amana equipment. The service has been good for the better part of 5 years. They are very responsive. John is a very nice guy and does a good job. Rob is also very knowledgeable. However, Rob is very short tempered. 5 years ago he was struggling to figure out a wiring issue and kept saying “I don’t like working on other people jobs” and “I don’t know what to tell you”,(we just bought the house). He did eventually figure it out and seemed happy. This week we had an issue in 100 degree heat. Rob got right back to us and came out the same day. However, when he arrived and went to work, he was very frustrated. When finished he came down and just said, “I am not working on Goodwin Amana units anymore. They are not worth my time. I will not charge you for today. You should find an Amana certified technician”. He said almost nothing else and just walked out. The invoice had a similar quote “ We do not want to work on this Amana equipment anymore.” Good company as long as you do not have Amana HVAC units.
Called and they had someone out in under an hour, and ac back on in no time. Great service

Our heat pump started acting up late on Christmas Eve and our temp in the house was down to 57 degrees Christmas morning. My wife left a message for Southern Temp Control and we received a call back a short while later. Rob came out, inspected everything and found that we had a bad circuit breaker in the main breaker box. He was able to contact a local electrician and the breaker was replaced, fixing our problem. Rob checked the system out thoroughly and showed me how it was functioning as designed. We have their semiannual maintenance program, which I recommend for peace of mind. It is not cheap but you know when they are finished that your heat and AC are good for the upcoming heat or cold. I am always impressed with the thoroughness with which they do their work and how pleasant and professional they (Rob and John) are. It is hard to find people that are as honest, professional and pleasant as these guys are. They were recommended to us by a friend and I am happy to recommend them to you. They are the best!

Love this group. Great communication, very responsive, always on time, and so knowledgable. Ron came on a Saturday, diagnosed the issue, gave me great advice, found the needed part first thing Monday morning and had me up and running by noon on Monday. The best!

My dad and I got to my weekend home on Saturday and a/c wasn't cooling. It was going to be 102, so we really needed that a/c fixed! Looked on my FB community forum for posts on reviews of local HVAC companies. Southern Temp Control and Rob Wulff were the top rated so I called and left a vm. 5 minutes later Rob called and said he could be there in 30 minutes. I told him the fan wasn’t turning but the unit was running. He explained what the problem could be and told me the general cost for various outcomes and the cost for weekend service fee. I agreed, hung up and he was there in about 15 minutes. He was personable and professional and explained to us in detail what the issue was and the cost to repair. It was the lesser of the issues he had explained over the phone so I got lucky and the repair cost was very reasonable, especially being a weekend. He did the work quickly and then went over what we should do to keep the unit in top running condition. He also suggested their semi-annual maintenance agreement that’s perfect for someone in my situation with a weekend home who isn’t there to take care of the unit. I’ll be signing up for that service today. Without us even asking, he also showed us how to do maintenance on our ductless mini-split a/c system. Thank you so much Rob Wulff! We really appreciate you!
Rob got back to me right away and came out ASAP on a weekend to help me out when my A/C went out with family visiting. He was already winning in my book at that point. His service once he got to my place only continued to impress. He was friendly, a great communicator, very knowledgeable, and worked hard and fast to address multiple issues and successfully get my system back in operation. Truly could not ask for more. 5+ stars. Thank you, Rob!!
These guys did a great job. From finding the part that my AC needed to John answering all my questions and explainjng what was wrong with the system They did not try to upsell and gave me my options that actually saved us some money.
STC has taken care of all my HVAC semi-annual maintenance and repair work in Wimberley for years. I have nothing but the best to say about the company. Robert and John are good people & I’m proud to know them.
I had heard a lot of good things about Southern Temp Control, so when our upstairs AC stopped cooling I called and left a message on Saturday afternoon. It wasn't long after that I heard back from Rob. He came right out and quickly had the problem diagnosed and repaired. He showed me exactly what had caused the problem and provided a thorough explanation of how the defective part works and what caused it to fail. This is my new AC company. Hands down, the best I've seen.
I would highly recommend Southern Temperature Control to anyone! I've used them numerous times on different properties. They are always very professional and responsive. Couldn't ask for better service. Very thorough inspection with detailed reporting of the services they've provided. Rob and John are both excellent!

On Saturday May 7, 2022 (our hottest day so far) our A/C unit stopped cooling. On a lark I "googled" "Saturday A/C service near me". I was given SOUTHERN TEMP CONTROL'S number. I called, left a message stating my problem, then went on looking at freestanding a/c units at Home Depot. Lo and behold, ten minutes later we received a call from Southern. I told them my sad tale and Rob was there in about 15 minutes. It took Rob about another 15 minutes to diagnose and remedy the problem. It was only a Chinese made start-up capacitor, but it was fixed. I used to do electrical service calls. I considered myself good, but Rob was great!
Best HVAC tech we have ever used. Rob came out quickly on Mother’s Day and was able to get our AC system back up and running in short order and saved the day. Responsive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Wouldn’t hesitate to call Rob again for any HVAC needs. Definitely top notch.
