I am reporting Jose Solano for falsely diagnosing my air conditioning units heating failure and for charging me incorrectly. I found Jose Solano through offer up and contacted him once I got his telephone number. I called him and he stated his diagnostic fee was $50.00 Once at our home he stated that the capacitor needed to be changed and he replaced the capacitor for $230.00. Jose stated that the capacitor is something that is looked at on routine maintenance and was not cover by warranty. That same night the unit was still not heating/ functioning properly. I called him the next morning he came out looked at the unit briefly and turned off the power on the unit and turned it back on which reset the system. He stated that my fan was failing which was his second mistake in diagnosing. After that second visit, my system was still failing to heat and I called him back. He texted saying he would get back to me when he could and I never heard back from him. I called another company who came out and fixed my air conditioning system, they also told me the capacitor is covered by warranty, so Jose lied to us. Jose Solano did not ask me for my warranty information, nor did he attempt to call them on my behalf. When I reached out to him again he finally answered. He stated that it would cost less if he just replaced instead of going through warranty. I hope that this report would serve as a review of this person and his incompetent service.
