I have used SMK multiple times when I have a problem. They arrive quickly and do not take advantage of misfortune. Their parts prices are never inflated like many heating and cooling companies in Fort Wayne.
Fall 2022: It was finally time for a new Furnace and A/C, and Sam and Ryan did a wonderful job as always. This included relocating the A/C unit to a location that made running the new cooling lines challenging. They do things with Quality and Integrity! July 2021: SMK is Awesome! I got a notification from my Wi-Fi thermostat that my house was 78 degrees while on vacation over the 4th of July holiday. I called SMK and they took care of it while we were gone so we could come home to a nice cool house. Highly Recommend Sam and Ryan!
2021 update- In Spring 2021, SMK came out and advised me that the bandaid maintenance of the AC (installed in 1998) has come to an end and we needed to buy a new unit. SMK promptly provided us with a quote and we just had our new furnace and AC fully replaced. They showed up on time, prepped for a super clean work area, replaced the units with care and precision and were done by the end of the day.It has been a week and I can tell a massive difference in the amount of humidity, airflow, and overall feel and comfortability of our home. I trust Ryan and Sam with my home and I recommend that the person reading this review does the same. A+++ SMK. Fast, responsive, professional. Sad that I have to go outside of Columbia City to find a good HVAC company to deal with. I'm glad that I did. I was excited to find that they had a technician available same day. My wife has asthma, so the 7 days out I got from others wasn't acceptable as good air is imperative for her to be able to sleep well. I didn't even mention this on the phone when I scheduled, they just made it a priority to get my problem fixed as soon as possible. The repair was done quickly and painlessly. I honestly wish I had found them much sooner.

Sam knew I was getting quotes On an AC/furnace combo, so he came in, we discussed what I wanted, he took his measurements, and the next day I had my quote. He didn’t spend his time with a sales pitch since I had them with other companies. It’s still always good to hear everyone’s perspective though. The price was very reasonable, and I will say that every one of the 4 I talked with I learned something new about the system. I know the quality of SMK is amazing, he is always up front and honest with the family, so I was pleased he was the low bidder. They made quick work of the install and a few days in, I’m happy with what we have. For sure worth your time to give SMK a call!

I called at 2:16pm on a Saturday afternoon, at 2:24 I received a call back and someone was on the way. Ryan was at my house and had the problem fixed before 3:30! Great service and very friendly! I will definitely call again when I need service.

Awesome company. Very competitive on pricing. They beat all competitors selling Bryant and carrier, both made in Mexico. Service was outstanding, installation went great. I purchased a programmable thermostat and they installed it. They also added it to the NIPSCO rebate for me, which I submitted. The new furnace has been installed now for 3 months and is running flawlessly. 10 year parts and labor warranty.

Ryan and his wife Ms. Jamie are awesome and honest people. Ryan just did our furnace last night and found a small issue. In some company they will take advantage and look for big problem so they can charge you more. But this SMK Heating will not do that, and definitely meet your budget.Ryan came to our house on after hours but NEVER charged us after hours service. I will definitely recommend them to everybody. Honest people. Not only helped us on short notice, but we have recommended them to many friends. We have had friends who have had thousands of dollars of work recommended, but SMK diagnosed the problem for a few hundred. Would highly recommend them!
