Our 3 zone A/C suddenly couldn’t keep the house below 82 and it was losing ground. I called Alonzo at Smart Choice at about 7:30pm. He said he had just completed a house in our neighborhood and was heading home. He said he would turn around and be at our house in 15 minutes. He made it in 10 and had a big smile on his face and apologized for the problem. He assured me he would get it fixed. He started checking our unit and found the dampers were closed (likely due to a brown out) and the blocked air flow had caused to unit to actually ice up in the attic. He took about an hour and got the ice melted and the dampers back working. He cleaned up everything and changed my filter. He smiled, shook my hand and said “no charge”. I highly recommend the folks at Smart Choice every chance I get. You can’t go wrong with Alonzo and his team. They do great and honest work. Something rare in the HVAC industry.
Alonzo was on time and attentive. He went above and beyond what the other two contractors did. He was considerate and explained all the cost alternatives. 2 Thumbs Up
