I had Corey and Jv come out to resolve a tripping breaker issue and had a few extra items, they both did above and beyond my expectations and were very patient and well mannered with me even when I added a few tasks we had not talked about previously. I recommend Sloan service company to anyone looking to have quality and care. I’m also using them for my solar which they were very knowlagable and helpful in explaining to me.

Had annual maintenance scheduled and never showed. Called twice and lady said she would call technical to see where he was at. Called third time and now lady said they no longer do service maintenance and they out source. This should have been told days before my appointment and me taking off work. I will never deal with Sloan again. If you are having a system repaired be advised they do not service the system afterwards

I recently had some electrical work done and selected Sloan Service Co. on the recommendation of a friend. Sloan Service did not disappoint. I was especially impressed with their communication. The scheduler had me in the loop so I knew exactly what the state of the permit was and when the work was supposed to be done. Everything proceeded right on time. The technician was super friendly and went the extra mile in choosing a circuit design that fit my needs and saved some money over other possible choices. He even came out to meet with the electrical inspector to verify his work passed. The fee was very reasonable and the charges transparent. I could not have been happier with their work. Great experience!

Corey assisted me with a power outage in one of the rooms of my home. He provided a rough estimate based on the details that I provided by phone which helped me budget the cost of the service. He arrived on time and was knowledgeable and professional . He explained what the issue was and provided details on how he would fix it. He noticed additional issues outside the scope of the room that needed serviced and repaired that area as well. The total cost for service was affordable. I would definitely recommend Corey to others. He gets an A+ in my book.

I’m forever grateful to Matthew Sloan, owner of Sloan Service Company for helping me troubleshoot my geothermal desuperheater/water heater system. Matt spent hours by text and phone analyzing photos I sent to him of my electrical and plumbing system and asking me detailed questions about it. I was experiencing either scalding hot showers even when the faucet was turned to cold, or tepid showers. I had called and scheduled several companies, whose technicians, after looking at my situation, did not have the proficiency to do the job. After our discussions and an extensive, thorough review of my setup, Matt concluded that my 200 Amp main would not support the additional breakers required by the tankless water heater I was considering. He felt my best options would be to: 1) install another 200 Amp breaker main, which he said would be very expensive and did not recommend; 2) install another tank water heater, also costly; or 3) contact a knowledgeable plumber to possibly repair the current water heater to resolve the issue. Matt also provided me with the name of a plumber whom he used and trusted who would be qualified to work on my water heater. He cared enough to ask me to keep him apprised of the situation and to call him back if I needed to. In the end, I opted to install a new water heater and use the old one as a buffer tank to optimize my geothermal desuperheater. Matt provided me with the information I needed to make the decision that was best for me. I no longer have hot water issues due to Matt’s generosity with his time, expertise and consideration in making sure my situation was resolved. I trust Matt and will definitely turn to him in the future when I need help with any of my equipment or appliances.

We have an Amana PTAC wall unit with the heat pump not working. Many HVAC companies we called do not service these units. Sloan had a technician, Peter Fradella, that had some experience with them. Peter was able to work us in same day, and when he arrived was able to quickly pinpoint the problem. He made several calls and found the specialized part locally, and within a couple of hours had the unit back up and running. Peter (and a second technician shadowing him) was very professional, courteous and knowledgable and went out of his way to help us out. We are quite pleased with the service and the quick resolution of our problem.

One of the reasons I like having Sloan Electric Service is that aside from being very professional, Jason the electrician is also a solution provider. I recently needed to install a microwave oven and a range in our renovated kitchen. But there was no electrical outlet for the microwave: the new cabinets are in the way. The position of the outlet for the range prevents the range to be fully lined up with the new cabinets. That’s where other electricians would tell you to call the cabinet people. But with Jason from Sloan, he stepped up to come up with a solution to the existing problems. We were excited when Jason and Corey perfectly lined up the range with the new cabinets circumventing all existing constraints. My wife and I were thrilled when these two electricians finally installed the microwave oven by modifying the blower position and changing the oven support from a weak wall Sheetrock to the stronger top cabinet support. Again, thanks to Jason and Corey for a well executed electrical service. Gentlemen, Your performance was excellent.

After talking with Joel, he made everything right. His clear passion for his company and concern for the client would honestly keep my trust in the company. Mistakes happen and Sloan owned up to them. I'll be keeping my business here. Shady service and left the system in a dangerous state. Sloan came out to inspect my HVAC and furnace. I was having 0 issues the system. Everything, heating and cooling, was starting with no issue. They quoted the capacitor ($80) was "out of tolerance" and needed to be replaced right away. They did not even put it back where it is supposed to be. It was installed with new metal tape in an "easier spot". They also quoted I needed an entire new A-Frame ($4,000) because of some rust that was seen. They never checked the pressure in the system or to check if there was a leak. The tech was there less than 2 hours. The system is still continuing to cool with no issue 2 seasons later. The reason I write this review now, 2 seasons later. I had an issue with the gas furnace not kicking in. I went to see why and noticed that the tech left tape on the safety switch and the doors not on to even cover the safety switch. My furnace was fully exposed and thus...killed some components. There is no one else that has been in the space beyond this tech and myself. So glad the safety was bypassed and they are trying to get me to install a full new system because of "some rust". I'll let the unneeded capacitor pass.

Saved our home. I woke up this morning to our breaker board arching and crackling. I immediately started calling anyone who was available. I am unsure how I was so lucky, Matt stated he had a missed call from me and contacted back. He spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me, 20x more than anyone else did. Mind you this is a Saturday, before Halloween. He understood completely, my concern for my family and home. His other worker also named Matt was at our home in 20 minutes and started working immediately. Matt showed up not to long after. They each wore OSHA/CDC regulated masks the entire time, which in the past no one from any other company has done so. The problem was diagnosed quickly and his explanation of why this was a safety and emergency hazard were clearly explained. I thought of anyone ever, Matt did the best job of breaking down the cost. We proceeded and they worked tirelessly all afternoon past 6pm to make sure the job was done efficiently. I can only thank both of them from myself wife and kids. This will be the only company I ever recommend or use again.

I was highly impressed with SLOAN SERVICE COMPANY. When I called to make an appointment, we had a 3 way call with the technician to determine what we really needed and an estimate. We then attempted to find a time and I had to settle for a date which was later than I really wanted. A couple of days later they called back with a much more acceptable time. They arrived a little early for the appointment and were very polite, friendly and explained in detail what they would be doing. It turned out to be more difficult than they expected and took about an hour longer than they expected. When they finished, one would not know they had been in our house and walls. Everything was perfect. Also, they only charged us the original estimate even though it took about an hour longer than they expected. They will be our go-to people in the future. I called Sloan service to come and find a gas leak in my house. The team was on time cordial, neat, and put everything back the way they found it. Happy to report there was no gas leak found in the lines. We now have to wait to put the gas back on to see if the leak is from a stove or a fireplace. They will be back to determine that situation.
