Shane was fantastic. Fixed everything up so it is working much better now. Then he took the extra time to teach me how to maintain some minor things with my system. Highly recommend!
Had a good experience with Six Star for an AC issue diagnosis/fix and furnace tune-up. They scheduled me very quickly after I initially called and the technician (Shane) showed up right on time when expected. He was helpful and knowledgeable, explained the things he was inspecting on my system and what problems can look like, and he laid out the pros and cons for my options to fix the issue. Pricing felt fair and reasonable. I would definitely work with them again.
Aj and his crew are the best around. The knowledge and craftsmanship is untouchable. They are a family company and treat there customers like they are family. You don’t see this anymore. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Hands down, the best company. From the customer service straight to the finish of my installation. AJ, Charlie and the other guys are respectful, kind and efficient. Besides the shiny new systems, they left my home clean and you can't even tell they were there. The guys also explained everything to me. Explaining everything that was wrong with my old system of 20 years and what was a potential danger to my family. I asked questions and never got the "really lady" look. They answered everything to ease my mind and to protect my kids. I trusted them with making my home a warm/cool place for my kids for years to come.
Just recently had a new HVAC system installed in our home. Our old system was 32 years old and though it still functioned, it was time to consider a replacement. AJ and his Six Star team helped us to find the best alternative. The install and support through final inspection was great. The guys involved with the install were polite, respectful, friendly and hard working. Any concerns or questions were immediately addressed and our new systems runs prefect. Thanks for the quality work. We couldn’t be happier.
At the recommendation of my father whose architecture firm has been working with AJ for a while, I chose to hire Six Star for a new HVAC system installation. AJ and Charlie and the rest of the Six Star team are wonderful. They worked out AC installation in our 100-year-old house in the least obtrusive way possible to preserve the character of our home, while giving us maximum comfort. AJ helped us pick the most efficient system for our home while focusing on American-made equipment. The team was communicative about the process, kept to the number of working days they quoted, and answered all of our questions with great detail and patience. While no construction job is ever dust-free, they were very respectful about closing off spaces where they were sawing and were also very respectful of our wishes for everyone to wear a mask in shared spaces. To top it all off, AJ was understanding of our need to push back our installation date when we learned that our cat needed surgery, which goes to show that he’s compassionate as well. Six Star is an all-around knowledgable, skilled, kind, and respectful crew. I would give them the six stars in their name if I could.
AJ replaced my boiler when it failed. It broke during the winter and we needed to get it fixed fast. He quickly came out and provided a fair quote to get it done and they made the replacement within a day or two. They worked efficiently and were respectable to our home. I wish I could give them SIX STARS instead of five.
We discovered on the first hot day of the year that our a/c was not working. It's a very busy time of year for a/c repair and I wasn't expecting anyone to be available for a week. I called 6 Star and was thrilled that a tech could come out the next day. Later they called back and were able to send a tech the same evening! The problem ended up being very complex, as there was an issue in the a/c unit itself as well as our electrical system. I was very impressed with the tech's problem solving skills to get everything working. He was very patient when things didn't go as smoothly as we hoped, and stayed for awhile to make sure the job was completed. We were very happy to have a cool house again! Responsiveness, customer service, and technical skills were outstanding.
Our furnace stopped working on a very cold and snowy evening. I called Six Star and got right through even though it was late. Everything was taken care of immediately and professionally by wonderful technicians who truly cared about the comfort of my family.
AJ and staff were fantastic. We had an old house with no AC/ductwork, every company told us it couldn’t/wouldn’t be done for less than an exorbitant amount. 6 Star was the only company that said they could/would do it, and was very reasonable! We now have AC and ductwork run throughout our house. They were very neat, clean and respectful of our property. Very transparent and accommodating throughout the large project. They have lifelong customers!
On Friday, July 3rd, I came home after work to discovered that my AC unit wasn't working. The temperature outside was in the 90's, as it had been all week. It was 5 pm on a holiday weekend, and the thermostat in my home was reading 88 degrees. Therefore, I immediately started to panic! I called Six Star Heating and Cooling, and spoke with AJ. He asked a few questions and told me that he will contact one of his technicians nearby. AJ called me back a few minutes later to assure me that a technician was en route. Shortly afterwards, a gentleman named Nick showed up to address the issue. Nick quickly identified the problem as being a blown capacitor. Nick replaced the capacitor in a matter of minutes. The communication and prompt response that I received from this company was top notch! I work in the service industry, and would certainly recommend this company to anyone and everyone. Thanks again AJ and team for making my 4th of July weekend a cool one.
Six Star installed a new AC system (we did not have any AC at all) and new furnace in our older house. They had to run some duct work throughout the house since it did not exist in places. I am extremely happy with the whole process. AJ made sure to walk through every room and look at where the vents were and asked how the rooms felt during our estimate. He was the only one to walk through our whole house when we were getting estimates. Everyone from Six Star was professional and friendly and took my questions and concerns seriously. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs AC work done.
I give Six Star a 5-star rating and would give 6, if allowed. The owner is extremely responsive, honest and looks to save his customers money. Six Star's workmen are professional, courteous and on time, for both arrival and finish estimates. Great ownership and supervision, prompt service, great company!
Today my family experienced a tragic event where our furnace ended up catching fire. We tried several companies which all said they couldn’t come out until Monday or Tuesday of next week. We have dogs, cats and a 17month old son, so going without it heat in these temps was realistic (currently 25 dropping to 19) We gave ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A call with little to no hope of same day turn around. Surprisingly A.J was very empathetic about our situation, adjusted his team’s schedule and came out. Not only did they come out to assess the damage they also replaced and installed a brand new HVAC system the same day. These guys took time away from their family, friends and more to service our home and restore heat for us. Their pricing was more than reasonable and his team stayed late to ensure my family had a warm home to sleep in tonight. If you’re in the greater PGH area and need ANY service give these guys a call I promise you won’t regret it they provided faster response than the big corporate guys. Thanks again AJ and team my family can rest assure tonight knowing we have a new furnace system thats safe and will keep us warm.
