Worst company in Sacramento. Very disorganized. I used to work here. NEVER AGAIN. They only have one crew and one lead and 4 helpers. They always make mistakes with installs. Never on time, extremely ghetto. Please don't waste your money with this poor quality company. There are plenty better companies out there where you can receive better installs and service for your money. Nobody even wants to work here because the owner is very cheap and makes no sense whatsoever. Please for your own sake choose another company. Definite 3 out of 10.
My experience with SVM, from the beginning thru installation , was extraordinary. I would recommend them to my neighbors and friends. I have two units and one was not working well. Both units were 25 years old. When I called for service check, I never felt pressure to replace my system. Just honest, professional diagnosis. They explained my options. I decided to replace both units with York variable heat pumps since I wanted to go all electrical. Within two weeks they started the install. These guys are truly professional and their workmanship is second to none. They were always friendly and answered any questions I had. They were very clean and left my home spotless. There prices were very competitive and I received 9K in rebates. Go SVM!!!
The Service Rep Bobby is always courteous, friendly & does a good job inspecting my heat-a/c system twice a year.

We recently contracted with Sierra Valley Mechanical for an installation of an electric water heater to replace the gas model in our older home. From the estimate to the completion of this project, it was a great experience! Matt provided our estimate, and from that point on, our project was in good hands. Sierra Valley Mechanical obtained the permit, ensured we had the contract in hand with all relevant paperwork submitted; within a week’s time, their office scheduled our project. Matt kept us updated on each step of the process until the capable team, Michael and Seth, arrived to prep and install. Since our home is older, the project was scheduled for a couple of days’ work, one for the preparation of the install area and one to complete the removal/disposal of the old gas water heater and the installation of the new electric model. Michael and Seth arrived on time each day, were very friendly. Michael was extremely knowledgeable about any questions we had all through the installation process. At the completion of the project, Michael took his time to to walk us through the operation, , safety and energy efficient features of the electric water heater, and its yearly maintenance. Before leaving each day, they left the work site clean and orderly. A highly responsive company with a great team of people to work with on this project! Thank you!!
After the excellent work they did for me at my rental property I knew exactly who to call when my home AC gave up. They were able to replace my AC very quickly. With a baby at home the speed of service was so important and helpful. It was a pleasure to work with Sarah and Eric again, and great to meet new tech Josh. They all had such a great attitude and were v accommodating with our schedules. New system works great, much more efficient and quiet. As always they did a thorough and complete job including cleanup. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for AC services!!
I called Sierra Valley Mechanical a few weeks back, not looking to purchase anything but looking for some information about the how the SMUD rebate program worked for modernizing water heaters. They were helpful, transparent, and walked me through how the program worked and the advantages/ disadvantages sticking with gas vs going electric. Ended up getting a bid for a replacement water heater a few weeks later, which was very reasonable, and signed a contract. They were professional, responsive, and wonderful to work with the entire time. Yesterday, Sara, Aaron, and Victor came out to do the install and were on time, professional, explained everything and answered every question I had, and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good experience. I am new to the area and have had so-so experiences with a lot of local vendors, but these guys surpassed my expectations and will definitely be a go-to as I modernize my home. Highly recommended.

I don't review often but the team at Sierra Valley Mechanical really deserved a great review and hopefully it'll help someone else who is struggling to find the right HVAC company to work with. Luckily I was referred to Matt at Sierra Valley by another hvac professional who felt my job was too big for his company but knew the right team to connect new with. From the first conversation I was impressed with the transparency, professionalism and can do attitude Matt has. My job was complex and needed a lot of creative thinking . Matt's experience really helped figure out a good plan. He price compared different units/manufactures, factored in supply chain issues , and made some calls to make sure we got the best equipment at best price as fast as possible - he had all the parts within a week and saved me $in the process. Also importantly I wanted to take advantage of smud rebates and Matt really went above and beyond making sure I got ever rebate I was entitled too and handled everything needed to get rebates . This is something not all the have companies would do for me on my project. I had no headaches or worries and in the end got about 14k in rebates!!! And I was even more impressed with the execution of the installation . Sarah (amazing lead) , Eric, Jordan , and Bobby were a great crew who tackles the job with professionalism and hard work. It took 6 full days for my job and I feel they went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right /perfect . They always showed up as planned , stayed late to make sure there were no delays. My tenants really liked the crew and felt they were respectful/nice/clean . The new units are super quite and energy efficient . My tenants already love them. Handled a couple frost freeze nights without issues. I cannot recommend this company high enough . If you have a complex or small job I know they'll come through for you too! SVM and the team of Matt, Sara, Jordan, Skylyr & Eric M. performed an excellent and professional job while replacing our old HVAC system and installing a new whole house fan. They were so very clean and left my home in excellent condition. They were kind, knowledgeable, respectful of property and I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC services. Our new system cooled our home down in less than 45 minutes from the normal 3 - 4 hours it took with our old system. Jury is still out on the operation of the whole house fan and it's cooling properties. But this is by far a 5 star company with 5 star employees. Thank you SVM, we will definitely be referring your business. So very glad we found Mike through next door.
