Respond super fast. I requested for a quote around 11pm, was on the phone with the owner 15 mins later. He came in right away, the next morning and took care of my HVAC issue.
We bought a new heat pump from Shanahan in February 2019. Price was almost $9500 so we thought we would notice a big improvement in warmth this winter. In fact, that’s what was promised. That has not been the case. Our purchase was to include free system checks, and since the house isn’t any warmer than it was before our purchase, I called to ask for a system check. It’s November 8th. First available system check appointment is in January! What good does that do us now as temperatures have fallen? I didn’t expect someone to come out tomorrow, but waiting until January is ridiculous. Person I spoke to wasn’t interested in making the customer happy. If they are that backed up with work, hire more help to meet the need. My suggestion is go elsewhere for your HVAC needs.

I have been a customer of Shanahan’s across two houses, a furnace install in each house, a water heater, gas logs, added vents and a gas grill install. I’ve been in my current house for almost 15 years. My brothers recommended them and they’re also both customers today. We refer them to others frequently. They are extremely fair and totally committed to their customers. I almost never write a review because of the crazy life I lead, but wanted to today because I recently had an issue with my furnace and Kirk and his team went above and beyond to take care of me and my family in the extremely cold weather. My review is long overdue, but I would highly recommend Shanahan’s to anyone looking for someone honest and trustworthy to take care of their family too.
This was my first service call with Shanahan's. They have an excellent rating from Washington Checkbook, so I gave them a call. Jimmy came out and quickly isolated my troubles to a faulty thermostat. He also observed I had a little excessive run-out in the fan motor bearing, but since it was running smoothly, to leave it be until it becomes an issue. I elected to source and install a new thermostat myself. I had a little trouble wiring that properly (the new thermostat required slightly different connections). Jimmy talked me through it for a successful installation! Thank you so much! I'll use Shanahan's forever with service like this! They do hot water heaters, too!
We have been using Shanahan's for about ten years now and two different houses. The servicemen that come out are always very nice and do an amazing job trying to get things fixed ASAP! Why is it these things always break on the hottest or the coldest of days?? We also have been amazed at their willingness to try and fix things when they can be fixed, not just immediately tell us we need a new system, which is what happened with our last company. We have recommended them to several friends and neighbors here in Brambleton, and all have been equally pleased with their service. You don't ever want your HVAC company to remember you, because that means they come out too often....but we are grateful in this case, because it means they take care of their customers!
