I agree with all of the above. Roland Watson now goes by “Comfort AC and Cooling”. Still contracted by choice warranty. He lied to me and said my unit needed maintenance prior to my A/C servicing. He lied multiple times about the day he was coming and invoice he sent. This business is shady. I have filed a complaint with choice warranty and am looking into legal action against him as he scams many customers and commits fraud under the guise of a warranty company. If you see this company or “Comfort Cooling and AC” STAY AWAY!!
Its sad that there are people in the world who’s sole goal is to scam and mess over people. They were contracted through my homewarrenty under a different name. I only know that this is the real name because he mistakenly answered the phone saying “rolands”. He did come out to diagnose. Said there was a problem with my motor. And it needed to be replaced. He also said that i need maintenance and cleaning to my unit which wasn’t paid under my warranty. I paid him that day and he never returned to do the service.. kept giving me new dates over and over again for weeks and would never come then he began lying to the homewarrenty company saying he did come back out or I still owed him money.. its very sad. I hope his license is actually valid because i will be reporting him and his shady business. God sits high and looks low and you or your business will never prosper
I was very weary of this company as the list of 1 star reviews popped up when I did research on them. Although I will admit they got the job done in the end of the day. Yes, they can work on their timing a little has the times they told me often changed. Although when I had my questions and raised my concerns they were able to give me honest answers and explain everything they were doing. It was explained that this company was purchased and has a new owner so I am glad to be to writing this good review to hopefully support a successful new business to come.
This company was called out by my insurance company to do a job they started the job and it is now five months later in the job still isn’t finish I called they won’t answer the insurance company called They won’t answer But yes I have paid them all of their feet or labor and I also paid for my equipment that for some reason still hasn’t made it to my home would not recommend this company to my worse Enemy they are scammers That take the money but never do the job
After Roland's A/C & heating got permission from CHW insurance to repair my fan motor Roland's A/C &heating pickup the fan motor few days went by I called Roland's A/C & heating to ask when will the fan motor be fixed they inform me they do not work for the insurance company anymore i ask them when will they return the motor and refund the service charge because they never repair, refund the money or return the motor do not use Roland's A/C & heating
Big mistake to deal with those guys
My niece was forced to go thru this sham of a company by Choice Home Warranty. They did not show up the day they were supposed to be at her house - when they did finally show up, they told me to my face they didn't know what was broken - could only take a picture of the serial number. They tried scamming her by lying and telling her the warranty company REQUIRED a cleaning BEFORE the motor could be replaced and quoted her a price 4 times the normal price charged in the area. After she unnecessarily paid another service to clean her sparkly clean ac, Roland AC still did not show up when scheduled - and lied to her again telling her the warranty company ordered the wrong motor - lied and told her she needed a "special" blower motor because she has a smart thermostat. After 3 weeks of no ac, she paid out of pocket to have a reputable ac company replace the blower motor - the part was purchased and installed - which took all of an hour that same day. I would not use these people to sweep my street let alone "repair" my ac. If you are "required" to use them by your insurance company, my strong advice would be to call the warranty company and point out ALL of these reviews and insist on a different company because otherwise you will end up out of pocket or scammed.
Two days a no-show. I had to contact them both times to confirm THEN I read reviews and cancelled. We use HWA usually the technicians sent out are professional and quality. Don't use Roland's!!
He was assigned by choice warranty. To repair my 86!year old mothers AC. My son has to go to NOLA to get the unit he couldn’t bring it. He collected the check $1000 for the uncovered repairs. Then left to cash the check This was in January. He immediately cashed such check. Refused to come back I kept Calling and messaging him and Choice home warranty. It was too cold to install but another company installed a new unit at my house. Finally after almost two months I called and messaged Choice and Roland that I was calling the police. Apparently they did not believe me. The police contacted Roland and he installed the unit the next day. Two months later the AC was making noise and we had no paperwork. No warranty I called another company to check it out. Two pounds low on refrigerant. $300 for that. The AC is a 2019 unit. STAY AWSY DON’T LET HIM NEAR YOUR HOME
Super sketchy and unprofessional. It seems as though the company changed their name to "Comfort A/C and heating" probably so when someone looks them up they can't see these awful reviews. But the phone numbers and information of "Comfort A/C and Heating" match up to I guess what once was "Roland's A/C and Heating." I was sent to this company by Choice Home Warranty. I had an appointment scheduled a week from my original service request date. I was sent a confirmation email to please be home for a 6-hour period of time. After numerous unanswered calls I did get a call saying they would call back once they found out if they could send someone. (Why would they need to find someone if there was a set appointment?). They never did call back and screened multiple phone calls. At the end of the night I received an email stating they rescheduled the visit for the next day. Again they never showed up. No explanation, never answered the phone and just sent an email rescheduling. After I left a voicemail as politely as possible explaining my frustration they did call me back the next day on Wednesday. They seemed like they were trying to resolve the situation, but never apologized or have any reasonable explanation as to why they didn't show up. After getting an email confirmation as well as a verbal confirmation from someone at the company and Roland himself of an appointment Thursday 11a.m.-3:00 p.m. There was yet another no-show. No explanation. At around 3:15 I called and got an answer from Roland. I simply asked if someone was coming out or not. After a few minutes on hold he came back and told me that the technician called and I didn't answer which is simply not true and my phone records can indicate otherwise. I don't know if it was a poor excuse from the technician or for the incompetence of the company but it was a flat out lie. Roland said we would try to resolve the situation and call me back in 10 or so minutes. After a full hour and me looking up information abo
They rescheduled me for 2 weeks and then no showed 2 days in row.No phone call,no email.Just didn't come.
Roland AC was sent by Choice Home Warranty. He installed the new AC unit and it was not cooling. Unfortunately he was paid before I realized it. Once he got his money he was not responsive. He did not remove the old units. When he said he would come, he didn't show up. I ended up having to call a second AC company to fix his mistakes. He lied time and again. I could not believe my warranty company would use someone so unprofessional and dishonest. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HE IS NOT REGISTERED WITH THE STATE OF LOUISIANA SO YOU WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE. IF YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY SENDS HIM, ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
Unprofessional, never showed up or called me back. Look for someone else.
Roland is by far the worse technician and business owner I have EVER dealt with! I have been without A/C for 2 months (August to Present day... October), my house has been 82 degrees since then. I have Choice home warranty, and I’m assuming that Roland had lowest bid to complete the repairs. Well he was quick to show up and take the $65 assessment! Ever since then, he showed up after calling Choice and him multiple times. He finally installed the outside A/C unit a month ago. Now, I have been patiently waiting for him to install my attic ducting and attic unit! He refusing to communicate with you, and tells you he is going to be there and doesn’t show up! Additionally, he will not answer your phone calls for numerous days after! I gave him a one star because that is the lowest I can go! I would have given him a zero if possible! As I stated before, by far the worst person to do business with! If you ever see him approach your house, please run or call the police! I am debating about taking him to small claims court as well if this is not fixed soon! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! PERIOD!
THE WORST COMPANY I’VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH!!!!! He was always late...showed up after 9pm(WHO DOES THAT), a few times was a no show after telling me he was coming. Then wouldn’t have the decency to call to let me know something came up. He installed an a/c unit. The outside unit was covered by CHW, the inside unit was not. He quoted price but charged $200 more. He was supposed to come back to remove the old unit & dispose of it along with giving me my receipt & warranty. I have yet to receive those papers, the unti was installed 2 months ago. Now I KNOW I’VE BEEN DUPED!!!! He blocks my calls, hangs up on me. I can’t even get the company’s name so I can go pick up these important papers myself. I seriously want to press charges!!!! I wish I had seen these reviews beforehand. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ROLAND WATSON...YOU’LL BE SORRY!!!! The ONLY reason he got 1 star is because there wasn’t a lower rating option available!!!!
I am a home choice warranty customer. Roland AC & Heating company is very unprofessional. This is the worst company I ever had to deal with. They don’t keep their word, but they hurried to come collect my check and then all hell broke loose! They did not give me a receipt and lied and said they were emailing it. They did a no call and no show for 3 days and lied about times they were coming. They continued to say they they will come and they will call 30 minutes before arriving and never showed up and had an attitude when I called. I am still waiting on them to come and put the coolant in my AC that the warranty company paid for that I never received.
Spoke to Mr. Roland to confirm an appointment that my home warranty had set up with his company. A confirmation was e-mailed stating they would be by anytime between a time frame of 3pm to 8 pm. At 7 pm I called to confirm they were still coming. He assured me his techs would be coming by soon. I called again at 8:15 pm and he stated they were on their way. At 8:50 I called again, he answered and hung up the phone on me. I have been with no a/c for the past 6 days and would have appreciated him to be honest and tell me they could not make it. Definitely not professional, responsive or on time. Don’t ever use his services or you will be stuck in 90 degree weather (in your home) during the middle of a sweltering summer.
Never showed up ,didn't give a courtesy call, told me my time for them to come was between 3 and 8 p.m. they are the worst company ever. Still never came
As the other guy stated I’m also a home choice warranty customer (worst company I agree) it took the technician 2 weeks to come out when he finally did took my $75 didn’t even give me a receipt. In the 2 weeks prior to him coming out I called him every other day he would say I call u back, than I would call chw they would say nothing they can do til the technician comes out after 3 weeks without a/c I had enough I called the company and told them that they are the worst I’ve been without air since 3 weeks now lost a ferret due to heat stroke and they need to send me a new a/c guy. They finally agreed to sent a new company which came out the next day I still have to pay $400 for non covered parts. Roland a/c and Choice Home warranty are the worst stay far away from either one of them I changed home warranty companies
My home warranty Choice Home Warranty company (the worst home warranty) assigned Roland AC (the worst and the most unprofessional AC company). The guy called and said he will be in my house on Thursday between 9 -11 am, I requested to work from home for that reason. I called them at 3 pm, he said he will call his technician and call me back. But he never did. When I called him back, he hung up on me several times. How cowardly and unprofessional. I would be surprised if this disgraceful company would still be around next year.
