Joe quickly diagnosed our AC system issue and repaired the issue, will call again if needed in the future.
You will not find a more honest trustworthy guy. Joe has been my AC guy for about 8 years or so. Very reasonable rates. Trust me. You will not have to worry if you are getting a fair deal. You are! I just had a problem with my thermostat. Joes called me back and told me how to fix it myself. No need for him to respond, and no charge. If you are in North County and you need a heat and air person you cannot go wrong.
Joe is great! He helped with more things than I can write, but I want to share that you can count on him to be honest and straightforward. He is a no-frills man, but you can tell he still cares. He helped us with a few visits in the past for things that ended up being unpaid and he conducted himself with professionalism and knowledge/exeperience. We ended up going with him for a full system replacement despite his motto of "fix, don't replace" (which we really appreciate) and he did a great job. We had a few snags with getting the system working perfectly, but he took care of it swiftly and effectively. I've even reached out to him about other things and he responds with an attitude of a willingness to help. I would absolutely recommend and will be using him again!
My wife had some trouble with our heat pump while I was away traveling for work. Joe, was there right away to fix it. He was professional and very honest. I have always used Hidden Meadows Heating and Air for upkeep and inspection of my system and recommend them to everyone I know.

Honest - Fair Pricing - No Baloney We have had Joe from Hidden Meadows Heat and Air work on our AC/HeatPump system several times over the years since moving into our home. The original was an early 80s vintage heat pump and he was able to keep that clank-ity inefficient monster going until it was no longer cost effective to continue to run it. When the compressor finally died, we discussed fix or replace options and he presented a extremely fair price for a new unit. Quickly and professionally he replaced our old unit just in time for the winter season. What a difference! We have highly recommended him to our friends many times over. Don't waste time on the bait and switch guys. Joe is honest and will try to fix it first. But if you need it replaced, he will give you a fair deal too. Two thumbs up from me!

We have had problems with our air conditioning system for numerous years really not knowing the problem. Joe thoroughly did a detailed analysis to determine that our A/C was not large enough for our home. Therefore, he and his team came out to replace our entire A/C and Heating System. After it was installed, we finally had cool air during the hot summer days. The price that we paid was very affordable, and Joe will conduct annual checkups to make sure that our system is properly maintained. Equally important, my family appreciates the personal service that Joe provides; therefore, we highly recommend Joe and his team with our complete confidence..

Hidden meadows has installed three new heating/AC units in my house and has serviced my other two older units. Joe and his team are very professional and work hard to repair the unit if it’s serviceable. It’s hard to find a good HVAC you can trust and these guys are one of the best.
Joe and his help did a great job installing a new quality heat pump and saved me a lot of money, at the same time, over other options. I was able to get the changes made I needed, and he made sure everything was done right without playing games or trying to get more money out of me. He cleaned up everything and fixed minor damaged from getting the old unit out, leaving no trace. There was a minor issue with the unit shortly after installation, which he quickly resolved. He followed up a few weeks later to test the system and made sure everything was running optimally. Joe will give it to you straight and not try to sell you something you don’t need. In my case, I choose a new unit to save on operational costs, as my 35 year old unit was far from efficient. Joe had maintained it for the previous owner and it was actually working, but cost way too much to run. We upgraded to a much more efficient unit, that costs a small fraction of what the old one did to run. If you’re looking for an honest, local, experienced tech to repair or replace your HVAC system, Joe’s your man.
Joe is honest, knows what he is doing, and will fix something in lieu of always selling you something new. He fixed our old AC Unit when nobody else would, then when we needed a new one Joe found the right "space saver" HVAC unit. We had him add a Hospital Grade Air Purifier while we were at it! I don't spend much time writing reviews, but Joe's service for us was so good I felt compelled.
We hired Joe to put in new duct work during our remodeling of our home. He did a full work up making the furnace run at its top level. Turned out we needed to add additional return air vents. Absolutely fantastic work done. We had to call him because of relocating our thermostat it stopped working. One call and he stopped by at the end of his work day to check it out. Totally new what to do to fix it. Amazing guy!!!! We will be calling him when its time for a new A/C unit and/or a new furnace.
I recently had a need to find someone to install a split/unit heat pump. I prefer to use a local company and an Owner / Operator. While driving out of Hidden Meadows I saw a van parked on the street near my home. Long story-short, I called Joe and he came by the next day after work. He was leaving the following Monday for a previously planned week off. We got the details out of the way on that first meeting and scheduled the installation for the Wednesday following his return. The installation went off on the Wednesday agreed on. Joe showed up at 8:00 AM with one helper. The complete installation, including running a new 220 Volt circuit, occurred in one day. The new unit was up and running by 5:00 PM and all went very smooth. I would recommend Joe at Hidden Meadows Heat & Air Robert "Bob" Pruitt Hidden Meadows resident since 2003.
