Refresh Smart Home (Westley in Houston) was great to talk and work with. He was on time, extremely nice, and respectful of our home. He was also very passionate about smart homes, home automation, and home security. We would recommend him to anyone and would definitely use him again! Thanks for the help!
Westley Evans, Partner Technician from Refresh Smart Home arrived well before time and started the installation of Nest Thermostat right away. I had base model Honeywell Thermostat earlier and he quickly upgraded the settings to Nest Pro level. I would strongly recommend Westley Evans for any Nest related work.
Update 9/12: The owner of the company personally reached out to me to apologize for the experience I had. He let me know of some communication misunderstandings and was genuinely apologetic. He refunded the overcharge I called out and sent me a small gift in the mail. I was impressed with the level of customer service from the owner. Sounds like my experience was not the norm. Bottom line: If you want a respectable and honest company, don't go with these guys. I was quoted $99 up front for an outdoor camera install and scheduled the tech to come out and take a look. He inspected the area and initially told us it couldn't be done, his reasoning didn't really make sense so we had him check again. Surprise, he could do it. We confirmed the $99 would cover this install and he said yes so we decided to move forward. The tech then forgot a tool he needed to complete the install. He said he could come back in a day. The day he was supposed to return, he was a no show. He finally contacted us about 4 hours after he was supposed to show and said he called us several times with no answer - we hadn't received a call. He then shared the number he was calling us at and it wasn't our number. However, he had been contacting our correct number for two days now. Strange. He comes back to complete the install and my partner was inside working. He called her out to check out the job. She was shocked to see he hadn't installed the camera how they had agreed upon, there were exposed wires hanging around and he had drilled a huge hole in the front of our house! After talking to the tech, my partner got him to fix the damage from the hole and the exposed wires and go with the initial AGREED UPON plan. Finally he does the job right. Gives my partner the phone to pay on and it says $150. We agreed upon $99 three times at this point over a few days time. He has no reasoning as to why he's charging us $50 more than we spoke about but says he can't change the price bc it's what the system
Fast and competent
Working with this company was infuriating. Two guys came out to install our nest thermostat and nest doorbell. They couldn't figure out how to set up the doorbell. We paid $199 for them to install JUST the thermostat. They said they would come back for the doorbell but needed to order a part. The part took a week to get in, and by the time it got in, the main guy was on vacation. Apparently, only one person in the entire city of Dallas knows how to install the doorbell. Instead of waiting and paying for the part and another $199 for them to come out, we opted for another company. The guy from the other company charged $99 and was able to set up the doorbell without any issue. Well, now we have another issue. Our thermostat is making a weird noise. My husband called multiple times to get them to come back out (we had a 30 day guarantee so it should have been free for them to come out). Well, they've been dodging his calls. I finally started calling and emailing. Our thermostat is still making a weird noise. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!! THIS WAS A disaster of an installation that after 3 hours left me with FOUR LARGE HOLES on the inside and outside of my house with NONest products installed. It is now 4 days or 2 business days with NO RESPONSE from Refresh Smart Home. RUN DO NOT WALK. LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Update: I did get a call a week later with them apologizing and willing to pay for damage. They also told me they're closing Denver market. I will add an update if/when they pay for damages. Update 2.28.19: They did send me a check for damages so at least they stand behind their work or in this case the complete lack of it. Lesson learned here is no matter how good reviews and ratings are, buyer beware. Watch your installers every move to make sure they know what they're doing.
Great Service
Daniel did a great job installing my nest outdoor IQ camera above my garage door. I don't have outdoor outlet and I don't wanna drill the wall myself. So I reached out to them for installation. Daniel texted me his ETA before he arrived. And the job was finished clean and perfect!
I have very complicated HVAC units. No one at Nest was able to figure it out. I called Refresh Smart Home and Jose was able to figure it out and install the thermostats in 20 minutes. Very knowledgeable.
I've now had two installations performed by Refresh Smart Home. First experience: Very skilled and professional! (rated 5 stars) Second experience: On the positive side, the installer was prompt, pleasant, and knew the product (Nest Protect). Problems: - the installer came to my home with dirty hands and left visible dirt smudges on our freshly painted ceiling. I had to ask him to wash his hands before installing the second unit. - product packaging was left untidily spread in 3 places - once installation was complete, I was asked for payment in an amount over $100 above the estimate I had approved. This was eventually worked out, but took several phone calls - on the first job, I was able to pay online, but for this one I was told I couldn't, and was asked to type my credit card number into the installer's phone. Nope! Again, this was worked out after more phone calls. This was a completely different (and much less satisfactory) experience from my first installation.

Zero stars. Called with a no-heat situation and never received a call back. I tried calling company to voice my concerns rather than post online, however they did not return my phone calls. Terrible.
James with Refresh Smart Home did a great job installing our Nest doorbell. He arrived on time and he was polite, knowledgeable and well prepared. We needed an upgraded transformer to power the new doorbell and he was able to provide that and install it that same visit. We're very pleased with the installation and will definitely return to this company in the future.
Had a hard time getting ahold of someone in the first place to schedule a meeting for an estimate. finally got a time scheduled at 4pm pacific time with a technician in california. the technician never showed up so i wasted an hour. while waiting i tried to call the refresh home number, but because they are an east coast company, nobody mans the lines for west coast issues after 3pm pacific time. The coordinator in California never picked up or responded to my texts, so I gave up after an hour of waiting for them. not sure i want to move forward if i can't rely on them even for an estimate.

What can I say besides it was the absolute best decision I could have made to have this company and primarily Glen S come and install two nest cameras outside my home. Glen was informative, patient, and did an excellent job and never once did I feel he was in a rush or trying to “just hurry up and finish”. We encountered a bit of a problem the first day of set up which required glen to come the next morning and he was here even earlier than he is scheduled to begin work to make sure my cameras were up and running successfully first thing in the morning. I would recommend these guys especially Glen S and will be doing further business with them in the very near future. Great experience & highly suggest using them for your home needs.

Installed a nest doorbell for us. Did an awesome job (even in the pouring rain). On time, very friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend them.
