I have had two appointments with Red Dog HVAC this summer. Both were great. The first one was just a check over and minor maintenance. Easy and quick. Lots of good information from the technician. The second time I had a circuit breaker for my compressor that kept tripping during the hottest time of the day. I replaced the breaker myself, but wanted to make sure everything was okay. Red dog HVAC came out again and checked my system for amp and voltage spikes, also checking my wires to the compressor for any loose connections. Then refused payment because he suspected I had fixed the issue with the circuit breaker. I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of HVAC work.
Our AC went out in the morning and Red Dog HVAC was able to come within a few hours! Utah Heat in July - we were concerned we’d have to find a hotel to stay with our 2 year old. Cliff was a life saver!
I am extremely happy I called Red Dog. I called several other HVAC companies, but they either didn’t respond or my appointment was a week out. Cliff at Red Dog was able to come out the Friday I called. He got the AC working through the weekend until he was able to make the full repair on the following Monday. Cliff was very good at explaining the process and what he was doing. He felt more like a friend than just a service person. Hopefully I don’t need a repair in the near future, but if I do, I will be calling Cliff at Red Dog! Thanks again!

Cliff at Red Dog is phenomenal! Our AC suddenly stopped working and we had no idea why. He was able to diagnose and fix it quickly and taught me about my AC unit and how I could help take care of it on my own. He definitely goes above and beyond. Pricing is fair and honest and he tells you what needs to be done and how much it will cost BEFORE he does it so there are no surprises. I highly recommend Red Dog and will call him any time we have HVAC issues!
Thank you, Cliff, for showing up at the last minute and having the expertise required to repair our AC - last week’s arcing power lines zapped the furnace’s transformer (which in turn controls the AC) and YOU solved the problem! Cliff from Red Dog was available last minute... His knowledge about the problem I was having with my AC unit was incredible and he was able to fix it super fast... Which is very important when it's 90 degrees in your house 😀... Super thankful
Called on Monday morning and had an appointment for the next day. Cliff found the problem, explained it, and fixed it without trying to sell anything. Definitely will call again for any future HBAC problems.

Cliff from Red Dog HVAC did an outstanding job replacing my 40 gallon water heater! He was knowledgeable, professional, did excellent work, and cleaned up the area after the job was finished! Red Dog HVAC pricing was also fair and slightly less than the other shop I received a bid from. Will definitely re-hire for future HVAC work!
We woke up with our temperature in the house at 60 degrees. I called them and they came right out and serviced the furnace. We were fixed and up and running at a great price! I’d highly recommend them to anyone.
Our very old furnace started blowing cold air after normal business hours two nights before Thanksgiving as a storm was moving in. I contacted Cliff at Red Dog. He worked us into his schedule the next day. After a thorough check, he diagnosed the multiple problems and offered us several options to fix them, including replacing the furnace. We opted for the new furnace so Cliff got the old one running enough to get us through the holiday weekend. He came back on Monday to install the new equipment. He did a great job! His prices were fair. He left the place cleaner than he found it. And we have a great quality furnace that is working so much more efficiently than the old one. We highly recommend Cliff and Red Dog HVAC!
We needed a new water heater. Cliff said that he could do the work and he delivered. We had the installation completed and our hot water back on within one day. The work was done within the agreed upon time and budget, and the workmanship looks great. We highly recommend this company!

CLIFFord (big) RED-DOG. ROCKS!!! The house was 35° at 6 PM. After testing the thermocouple and deciding that the pilot valve had gone junk in the 1970-ish furnace, I found his Google review and called. He answered the phone in three rings at 7 o’clock on a Monday night. We discussed the situation as well as the possibility of getting such old parts. He called me back in 30 minutes to say that he definitely had located what he was pretty certain would be a generic replacement to get things running again. Him being located in Layton, as i am, made it incredibly quick and efficient. He called again (since I wasn’t on site) when he arrived to let me know he was there, and within 20 minutes had diagnosed and confirmed that he was ready to get to work and did indeed have everything to get it fixed. He had to do a little work on the gas line, as well as replace the pilot valve. In all it took about an hour including a complementary carbon monoxide test he did in the house just to go above and beyond. The late night/emergency fee was pretty much nonexistent when I looked at the bill, all and all it was unbelievably affordable and really made it nice to get the property handled so quickly and efficiently for me. Seriously can’t be happier and feel more satisfied. Heat IS Good! Thanks Cliff! Bob.
Cliff was amazing!! We found out in the middle of the night that our heater had quit working. We called him and he came out quickly and fixed what was wrong. He stayed to trouble shoot things to make sure everything was working well! I definitely recommend Red dog HVAC!!! Thank you Cliff!!!
