Recently moved houses into the eastern Pasadena area and these guys had recently helped with our previous El Sereno spot, so was unsure as was quite a larger project. We've been dealing with different contractors (roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and Jonny and Ruben take the cake by far. Fair and transparent pricing, on schedule, were flexible working around other contractors (even when plumber stole their power) Don't want to give the llusion that these guys are pushovers, but they know what they are doing and do it well. Minor hiccup post install because all contractors working during same timeline and these guys stepped it up and only one text away (had to reallign draining, came next day). I can't find the fancy words for how great of a job these guys did and how easy it was to work with them, probably cause my culo was nice and cool inside during the recent heat wave lol. I'm sometimes easy to give a 5 for effort or 1 cause was half a***d job and bad attitude, but you will not find that here. Jonny and crew were maybe too smart and legit from my previous dealings with LA contractors, so made me skeptical, but hell did they deliver. 10/5, but have another project coming up, so take your time to book lol.
Jonathan is professional, knowledgeable, punctual, efficient and has been very patient to answer all my questions and concerns. He arranged all equipments and parts within couple of days and his crew replaced the A/C and furnace units for my rental house within one day. I am very impressed with his friendly attitude and willingness to walk the extra mile to provide extra documents I requested. I will refer him and his crew to my clients, friends and family.
Ruben fixed our unit and had it cool again in our home quickly. He was polite and respectful. I have used Rebel Air in the past and will continue to do so in the future. They are reasonable and dependable. Thank you Rebel Air!
They were very responsive and Johnathon was available to come out next day to check my compressor that was not working. He showed up exactly when he said he would, very friendly and professional and knowledgeable! I am definitely keeping Rebel Air in mind for any future AC issues! Highly recommended!!
Johnny and crew are great. This is a long overdue review. They’re installed AC in our system last year. They were quick and honest. We had them come back out again before winter started because our heater wasn’t working. Likely from me not changing the air filter .. he was kind enough not to blame me or make me feel bad. Luckily the repair was still under warranty too.
Rebel Air fixed my heater problem quickly. The heater wasn’t coming on and he was able to quickly track down the problem with the wiring. One of the wire nuts had come lose. I was impressed with their quick response via Yelp and they also sent me a notification that they were on their way. I would definitely call them again for all HVAC issues.
Jonathan had excellent communication, very speedy with his work and saved us during this LA heat wave! Our AC motor needed a replacement and he got it done so quickly. Thank you Rebel Air!! I contacted Rebel Air about an AC that seemed to be leaking water all over the place. They responded fast and scheduled to come in the very next day. Jonathan and Ruben came on time and helped identify what was causing the leaking. They were honest about what did or didn’t need fixing and showed us how to stop the leaking. They did not try to charge us just for coming over, and they even though they resolved our issue, since they did not need to do any physical repairs, they did not ask for any payment either. Highly recommend them if you are looking for someone honest and efficient.
Honest, quality, and quick service. Johnathan and his partner came to fix our living room mini split. At first, using the advise of another company, asked Johnathan to install an internal pump to halt internal leakage. However, after further inspection, they realized that through a simple adjustment of the machine, they could fix the issue. Their honest work helped me save money. Called Rebel air for some help and they got a tech out here same day to help access my ac problem. The owner Jonnyn came in a little after his tech and was able to to break down the assessment and help get my ac blowing again, totally recommend these guys great service and a great pricing. Our 30-year-old HVAC system was beginning to give up and we knew it was time to replace it. We got several contractors over to our place (plus one who refused to even to see it - don't hire those people) for consultations. Jonathan from Rebel Air was very pleasant, honest, responsive and easy to talk to from the get-go. He explained things in a way we could understand; doesn't do sales pitches, does not push things, and just generally makes you feel that you can trust them. His quote was also the lowest we got. After choosing to hire him, we got a full HVAC system - new compressor, furnace, new ducts - within a week. The job took 1.5 days and went without a hitch. They also installed a new thermostat, gave us good tips on how to maintain the HVAC system, and answered all our questions. Big thanks to Jonathan, Nick and Ruben -- an excellent crew you can count on from start to finish! Big projects are rarely unproblematic, but this experience is truly the easiest and the most pleasant. Highly, highly recommended!
Our air conditioner went out a few weeks ago and after the first vendor quoted us a ridiculous figure I met with several other companies. Jonathan gave me an honest assessment of what he thought we should do and came in with a solid quote for a replacement furnace A/C system. After weighing all the options I decided to give him our business and I wasn’t disappointed. He delivered on the install without issue and we are ready for the next heat wave. Absolutely recommend.
After getting my house fumigated, my AC no longer worked. With a heat wave coming up, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get it fixed in time, so I sent out a desperate plea on Yelp. Jonathan answered immediately and offered to come the next day. I called him and explained the situation and he reassured me that he’d be there to help. He arrived early with his partner and they immediately got to work, climbing up on the roof to inspect my unit. Thankfully, it was not a big issue and it was taken care of in less than 30 minutes. Jonathan was very honest and did not try to upcharge me on any service I didn’t need. I sincerely appreciate that, especially since I really wouldn’t know any better myself. I feel that I can trust him to tell me the right things I need.
Rebel air saved our home. We had an absolute disaster in the attic that we did not now about that was messing up our a/c. Jonathan kindly took a complimentary look up there while working on another project we had hired Rebel Air for. Without him, we would have never known what we were dealing with: messed up a/c ducts. Jonathan and Rebel Air have saved us *a lot* of money on our a/c bill by helping us out. We had originally been looking for someone to install a dryer exhaust for us. We randomly found Rebel Air on Yelp as well as a few other companies. Jonathan from Rebel Air was the only one who sounded like he knew what he was talking about, so we went with him. Who knew that, down the line, Rebel Air would help us and our home again. Johnny and his assistant came out to flush and service our HVAC unit and get it running better. They were on time, friendly, and they did a great job cleaning our unit and doing a chemical flush. Judging from the filthy air filter we discovered inside our house, I don’t think the previous owners did much to service the air conditioning system here. I’m really happy we found this company to keep this old air conditioning system up and running for some more years. Thank you!
After getting multiple quotes and talking to other companies about moving our HVAC, Johnny came through with a great quote and provided a lot of insight about how our system was working. You can tell he takes a lot pride in the work he does, and makes sure that the job is done right. He was able to schedule us in super fast which was much appreciated. Rebel Air rescued us from a very seriously wrong and bad installation that had started back in July of 2021 with another HVAC company with a team of 9 workers. It was so badly installed that it could have caused many issues to our home or caused us our lives. Originally Rebel Air came out to address a leak. We mentioned that the unit had not been fully functioning from the time it had been initially installed. The system wasn’t cooling nor heating evenly in all rooms. We later learned that the system was leaking gas on top of many other wrong issues that were supposedly being fixed by the other HVAC company. After some long months of them trying to get it to work, we would never had guessed of all the things that had to still be done to get the system under good working condition. We have to say it was a total disaster, but we were at the point where we had to allow someone else to give us their opinion and expertise. Rebel Air truly rescued us!!! They sent their best team out to do a full assessment and both Gus and Gilbert were very attentive in listening to our pain and suffering that we had gone through for the past 7 months. They assured us that they would be able to handle all the issues and have the unit working properly. After carefully reviewing everything that had to be done, we felt that we were in good hands with Rebel Air, and knowing that both Gus and Gilbert had the experience to do a fully re-installment of the unit we had the confidence that they would get it to work at 100% to our satisfaction. The job took longer than expected, but we witnessed all the hard work they had to endure to perform a re-adjustment of the unit, removal of the coil, add a second return and a fully re-installment of the whole system to bring it up to code. We took notice of their dedication and hard work from the beginning and as an appreciation, we would make sure we had lunch for them on a daily basis.
