I was referred to Rays Sewer and Drain by the HVAC guy I use. I have never posted a review before, but based on what happend today I need to in the hopes of helping someone else out. Had to get a gas valve replaced. Total work time was 7 minutes. Part cost $10. Was charged $195 in labor. Kicker of it, which is what is making me write this review, is the service guy had to call and ask Ray what to charge me. This was a simple project. No major technical knowledge required to do this job. Basic labor rate should apply. By calling to ask Ray what they should charge me, obviously looking to see how much they could squeeze out of me. Again, this should have been a basic labor charge. $195 for 7 minutes of work? Lawyers don't charge that much per hour. I have no problem paying fair rate. But this is far from that. Moral to the story, if you are going to use this Shyster for any plumbing needs, get a quote ahead of time. My fault for assuming people would be honest. My HVAC guy is honest and fair and I assumed the same would apply here. Lesson learned.
Scott and Shawn were very knowledgeable about the job and what needed to be done. They did an outstanding job putting in my new water heater. I also talked to Ray a few times on the phone and he was very helpful. I would highly recommend the for your next job!!
I had a amazing experience working with this business. Everyone was responsive to calls. When the job scheduled ahead of mine ran into an issue they called to update me on their ETA. When they arrived they were clean, courteous, and did the job efficiently. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and will definitely use them for all future plumbing needs.
If I could give ZERO STARS or even NEGATIVE stars, I WOULD!! First off, RAY used the CHEAPEST parts known to man BOTH in HVAC servicing and plumbing!!!! Have had more problems with the furnace that he put in!!! Have had to call NUMEROUS times for things that should NOT have been an issue with the furnace and plumbing!!!! From what I understand from PROFESSIONAL, WELL SKILLED plumbers and CERTIFIED HVAC guys, (of whom we had to call to fix HIS(RAY’S)messes!!!!!!)he WAS NOT certified HVAC when it was installed!!! He has NO business putting in furnaces if he’s NOT!!! Took advantage of a 90+ year old woman with his major lack of HVAC AND plumbing skills!!! STEER CLEAR of RAY(himself)unless you LOVE throwing money out the window!!!!💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸

Ray and his crew came out same to to fix a clogged kitchen sink and fix the furnace that wouldn’t come on. Didn’t try to up sell anything just repaired what need to be done. Great bunch of guys. Thank you for the prompt service.

I had Ray's out twice - once for a drain that needed fixing in my basement, and once for installation of a new dryer vent. Each time the entire team was responsive and super helpful. They did an amazing job and were very affordable. Highly recommend!

Installed new heating and a/c. Installed new laundry faucet and cleared laundry drain. Ray and his employees are professional and will do a great job for you. Then clean up the mess.. I recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide.
Not sure where 2 start! from the moment I called Kathleen who answered the phone was so professional, nice, and knowledgeable about the job, work, & what was going on! she really cared and took her time! she relayed all pertinent information to Ray especially Respecting my wishes with my furbabies (oh so important when someone new comes in the house) and then also having to deal with my crazy mother while they worked at my house. let me just tell u, she is impossible to deal with! But they were great and fixed the problem
Scott gave advice on what needed to happen to repair our water heater. He was far more helpful than Rheem/Richmond. When the parts we had to order were late arriving, he made a point to come out New Year’s Day and fix it so we didn’t have to go more days without hot water. I never expected a service call first thing New Years…really appreciated it
