My husband and I took on a major renovation project at our new home last year and we hired John and his team to install a new HVAC unit. They explained all of our options, helped us select the correct system for our home and completed installation quickly. During one of our first deep freeze nights this winter we called at 11:00 pm to get some help with our system and they called back within minutes to help us troubleshoot the problem. We recently had them come out for an AC tune up. They were prompt, thorough and even took the time to explain additional features of our digital thermostat to make our system run more efficiently. 100% recommend Rarick HVAC.

John just installed an A/C unit for us. The service we received from him and his brother was absolutely phenomenal. John is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. He gave us very good advice and additional help ensuring the efficiency of our system. The service was fast and done well. His brother provided excellent customer service as well. This is the best experience I've ever had with any type of home improvement company.
I never leave Google reviews but feel compelled to, because I couldn't have been more impressed with John, the owner and technician. He was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. He will be our first call if we need HVAC service again.
John just finished a full Oil to Natural Gas Conversion for us and we couldn’t be happier. John’s Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Attention to detail are second to none. Couldn’t be happier with the work that John did on our house! We purchased an old colonial, which when we bought it had only 1 heating zone, an old boiler and no AC. John came out to give me a quote. Our main goals were to add AC, improve the efficiency of the heat, add more zones to the system and add heat to a portion of the house that didn’t have any. John spent a lot of time looking things over, explaining my options and trying to understand what our goals were. He really put a lot of thought into what the best solution was for our needs. We ended up going with a combi high efficient boiler to preserve the infrastructure we had with existing radiators and a separate central air system for the sleeping areas. John’s work was top notch and our new systems work great! Would recommend him to anyone and will definitely be using him for future work!
John is exceptional at what he does and is both caring and professional. He is a wealth of knowledge and experience and is exceptionally thorough, efficient, and patient. We experienced an unsolved (for two heating seasons!) short-cycling problem with our boiler. We had multiple professionals come out (five times this year alone!) in an attempt to remedy the problem. John came out and accurately diagnosed the issue almost immediately. Knowing how apprehensive we were due to the length and persistence of the issue, he double and triple checked that things were fixed and explained each step of the process to us. John will absolutely receive all of our business and recommendations moving forward. We cannot thank him enough. Do yourself a favor and call John today! You won’t be disappointed.

We ran into issues with our Central AC unit during one of the hot spells this summer. Turns out we needed to upgrade our existing duct work and replace both our furnace and AC unit. We contacted a bunch of other HVAC companies who gave us outrageous quotes and questionable advice. Luckily, we were able to get John to come out. He was able to fit us in after a busy day and after speaking with him for a bit, we felt like we were in good hands. Very knowledgeable and honest. His prices were very fair. He took his time to explain to us what he was doing and why, and we could tell he genuinely cared. (Which is hard to come by these days!) Would highly recommend Rarick HVAC!

Honestly.. these gentlemen were the best I could have asked for🥰 . When I was in need ,they were there, when I needed a little extra advice for my home repair and help with maintenance on my heating unit, once again they were right there, ready willing and able to help. Honestly, John would be a stand out in any profession. He's extraordinary. We had an issue with our air conditioner and he diagnosed and fixed it within minutes at a very fair price. I promise you that you'll never work with a better HVAC contractor. Plus, he's one heck of a nice guy. We'll be using his services from now on for anything related to HVAC. Thank you, John!

John did a great job of diagnosing and repairing our furnace. He was knowledgeable about updating our system too. We will definitely call John again for any help with our furnace!
We called Rarick HVAC looking for a quote on a new combi boiler system after a pipe burst off of our current system. We had all the big companies from the surrounding capital district area prior to Rarick HVAC and they all said there was nothing that could be done. They all said we needed a new system and started measuring the pipes and throwing quotes at us. The numbers were extremely high and frankly not doable and truley overwhelming. When I contacted Rarick HVAC I spoke with John who was very nice and professional. He made it out to our house that day to give us a quote on a new system. When he arrived he immediately said we could have heat that day. He was able to isolate the water tank and give us heat that was desperately needed. We still didnt have hot water but gave us some recommendations and informed us that we still needed a new system eventually. We now have time to save for a new system. John sacrificed a instlation of a new system that day but gained clients for a lifetime. We are forever greatful for what you did. Thank you for being honest and forthcoming about our situation instead of just trying to sell us an expensive product. Hands down the best HVAC in the area.
John was a pleasure from start to finish..very knowledgeable and thorough. He came to evaluate the 35 year old gas furnace and 14 year old hot water heater. He was highly recommended by someone who he had worked for. Last year when my units were serviced, the technician said that I’d be wise to have them replaced, though they were still operable, they were on “borrowed time”. With winter approaching, I decided to do some inquiries and get them replaced. John came and explained several options. He emailed me with unit facts and figures. I decided on a boiler-hot water system that would be very efficient and and compact. On inspection he found problems with the old pipes and suggested replacing them. When we agreed on costs, he came shortly after and worked efficiently and completed the job in two days.Throughout this time, he was prompt and explained everything as he worked. I am thrilled with the outcome and know if problems occur, John will respond quickly. Sue Parry.
