My hot water stopped working. Contacted R&E at 5:15pm night before 4th of July. Quickly got a response and had someone at my door by 6:20pm. Problem fixed and I have hot water. 100% recommended and will use again in the future! Thank you!
Very disappointed that the owner did not follow up with a request for an estimate to replace C/A after significant expenditures for maintenance. Was very hopeful but then was ghosted.
It’s always a pleasure dealing with Matt and Dan. As usual Dan came out and serviced my furnace with such professionalism and expertise. Looking forward to the next time to conduct business. I highly recommend R & E Heating. Thanks again.

R&E Heating & Air Conditioning has helped me with many calls over the years as a landlord. It is important to have a knowledgeable, professional, and responsive company to call on. They have repaired and serviced my furnaces, fixed frozen pipes for me, and switched out a few old water heaters. They are always my go to HVAC company in Hartford county.
Had a fantastic experience with R&E! My tenant accidentally let their oil run out and after delivery their furnace wouldn’t start. I called R&E as soon as they opened and they were at my house within a half hour! Dan was the tech who came and he was extremely professional and courteous. Several other companies refused to come out because we weren’t existing customers. As new home owners we hadn’t needed service from anyone yet. R&E came right out and fixed the problem quickly. I will be using them for my my future hearing and cooling needs!
Addendum: Tank did not pass building inspection as it is not level and pipe needs to be secured. I had them come out previously because tank was always empty when reading 1/4 full. They said it was fine, but it is due to it not being level. I will update when they fix it. R&E Heating did an amazing job when they replaced my oil tank. I got four quotes and each of the other places wanted to demolish my wall to do the job. R&E gave me the option of using a different style oil tank that was the same capacity but had a smaller footprint. It also had a much better rating. The tank itself was more expensive, but the total quote was LESS than anyone else! Two men arrived on time and spent all day doing the job but did not have to do any demolition of my walls or a tub sink I have downstairs. It seems the other companies wanted to just tear out the wall (or remove the sink, which was another option I was given) so they could get the job done quickly and be on their way to the next job. R&E took the time to do the job right, even though it was labor intensive. They have great pride in their workmanship. The city came to look at the work and also proclaimed what a nice job they had done, so it’s not just me!

I was recommended through multiple people off my towns Facebook page, after my furnace stopped working. the owner reached out, and was able to get someone out first thing in the morning! Our tech was fast & efficient. My furnace is now up and running again. Will definitely be using them again for future maintenance.
Phenomenal service! The tenant called this morning (day of Christmas Eve) and said that the heat doesn't work. My existing relationship didn't pick up the phone, so I had to try 3 other heating companies. Matt was the only one who picked up! I was very surprised by his professionalism, he gave me the price (which was fair) for a visit on the worst day of the year for emergencies and within two hours got there and fixed the problem. Extremely happy that I am able to have Matt for future services, and hopefully no emergencies anymore. Thank you Matt!
Matt & his crew did an amazing installation of my new outside oil tank. Extremely professional, arrived on time, and removed the old oil tank. Cleanup was excellent along with their installation.
Installed a heating system that doesn't push heat into many rooms. Would disappear for months at a time. Bad work. Not responsive. Awful! AVOID.
Always efficient and reasonably priced. These people are my go to. I just got a new furnace and central air earlier this year.
Matt and Gary were great to work with and I highly recommend them for any of your heating and air-conditioning needs. They were courteous and professional through out the whole process. The entire crew was great and treated my home as there own. The clean up was better than expected, didn't have to do anything. Again, I highly recommend R&E.
Very great price to redo all my ductwork. Very professional. Showed up when they said they would and worked very hard. Their work came out amazing. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs HVAC work done. I will definitely use this company again
These guys are professional, efficient and friendly. One thing I appreciate is communication through the process and they nailed it. The new system is running great and they made it easy and affordable for me to do it. Would definitely recommend and plan to use them in the future as well.
This has become my place of service after my interactions with them. My steam heat boiler cracked after running all night and running out of water. In the freezing cold, while everyone other mainstream company had a long list of priorities, I found this local company who after hearing what happened, made me their priority. Me and my family had to leave for the house for a few days. In the meantime Matt, one of the owners helped me find the right boiler to buy which was located out in New Haven and help me get it. Once we got it back to Bristol, Matt cleared his schedule for a complete install. When he gave me my bill I was shocked at the number coming in far less then the estimates I was getting when I called around to the bigger companies and explained my issue. For two weeks, Matt kept up close contact making sure the install was working properly and set me up with a cleaning date at the proper time. Fast forward a few years to current times, as Matt just left my home. It's been 10 degrees outside and being in a single zone home, my boiler was running all day and drained the rest of my oil. I put some diesel in last night but still couldn't get the system to fire and bright and early this morning it was Matt at my door to bleed the system and get it going again. A little football talk to catch up with my now friend, is always fun. Here is what I like, when I need R&E for a cleaning or emergency repair it "honestly" feels like I've called my friend who knows how to do this come to come help me out. You just don't find them like that nowadays.
I highly recommend R & E for all of your HVAC needs. Matt and his team are great. They are punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Dan was my service tech, he explained everything he was doing and was very thorough. My heat has never worked better! Their prices are also very affordable. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.
