Used for home warranty diagnosis which was denied, our first month in recently purchased home. Compressor was shot and we needed a new unit, the tech proceeded to write up a long diagnosis on all things wrong with hvac system he said he had never seen anything like it. Three local Kerrville companies had the same diagnosis which was different then Quantum, they all were familiar with they way our system was. We replaced our unit, at our cost, with the same size unit their tech said was insufficient for our size home.

American Home Shield sent Quantum to fix AC in August, finally got it working by October. 18 months later, i called a local kerrville company to come fix the unit. Quantum had me buy a new thermostat, new control board, new solenoid, all of which needed replacing today, plus thermostat wiring was wrong, air handler wiring was wrong. Do not use Quantum Mechanical if you want your HVAC to work right.

Used American Home Shield whom sent Quantum Mechanical 6 weeks ago to replace air handler unit. They said they would receive the parts the following week which was 5 weeks ago and come replace the unit. They never came back. Their mailbox is full and they never answer. According to AHS, the parts were available since 8/12 - it’s 9/10. My patience has been depleted. I don’t even know how Quantum is in business. I’m guessing those “5* reviews” are written by them to offset their honest 1* reviews. Do not use them. They are total crooks.

We worked with them through American Home Shield. We have been without HVAC since May and Today is the last day of August and it still isn't working. They have been here twice for repairs, and the more they "repair" it the more broken it is. They have errantly deleted our order, been unresponsive with a packed voice mail box and don't return calls. We were originally upset with AHS, but it seems to be more of an issue with Quantum. We feel like Quantim outright lied to AHS and continue to tell them we are on the schedule and they never show up. We both work from home and someone is here 24x7 so it's not like we missed them. Also no calls or texts. Still severely disappointed and hot. AHS isn't worth it since they control who we can choose and this is who they've locked us with.

Had to have a second HVAC company come fix their mistakes. It was so poorly done the technician wondered if I had tried to do the work myself. I said, “believe it or not, that was done by the professionals at Quantum”. Of course Quantum left without checking their work and the AC was never working.

I used quantum to install a new air conditioning system for me. Everything was fine they came out one time and installed a new blower motor in the attic. That was fine I sold my house and the air conditioner went out. They gave me a "quote"for replacing the compressor .Said they had to order the compressor. They said it might be as late as Tuesday so The new owners s who bought the house came and there wasn't any airconditioning. This caused me a lot of problems and more expense. We all kept calling and they would not return our calls. They just left us hanging. We finally called we'll fix it and they came out immediately and fixed the air conditioner.

If you are considering calling quantum mechanical, I strongly urge you to reconsider and look elsewhere. Technician arrived for warranty work on my HVAC and assured me that a new CPU was needed to fix my system. The technician alleged that the warranty parts were placed on order and would arrive within the week. After a week I reached out to Quantum Mechanical and told the parts were delayed due to COVID supply chain disruptions. After another 2 months I texted, emailed and placed phone calls to Quantum Mechanical without a response. I called another more reputable company that promptly and accurately repaired my HVAC.

New coil installed inside unit. Having issues and have tried for 4 days to get a call back!! No one is answering the phone and no one is calling back. What good is a warranty if you cannot get in touch with them?????

Quantum showed up to our home after we contacted our home warranty service because our a/c stopped working. He left without making any repairs, assured us he would return to provide a temporary fix (he never did), reported to our home warranty company that he finished the job (he never STARTED the job) and only submitted the request for replacement parts after I made several complaints to the home warranty company. In short, he lied, submitted a fraudulent report, left us without air conditioning for OVER A MONTH in July and August, failed to return multiple text messages from my husband and I, and it was impossible to leave voice mail messages because his mailbox was always full despite repeated attempts. SCAM ARTIST. Check his Yelp Reviews. We are FAR from alone.

We were paired with this company through our American Home Shield. Our A/C went out on a Saturday and they came out Tuesday. I don’t remember the guys name who came out but he was friendly, he replaced the capacitor and the a/c started blowing cool air. He let us know it would work okay but it was a temporary fix because the freon was low and there was probably a leak. We discussed options and he said he’d get in touch with AHS to see what they’d cover and what would be out of pocket and let us know so we could decide. For several weeks the job status was “parts on order” so we expected him to call us and let us know the plan. Nothing. We randomly got a notification through AHS that the job was “complete”. I’ve tried to get in touch with some one 5 times. Calling, texts, and emailing. They won’t explain what happened. I wish I could post screenshots but someone will text me back but once I give them my info they don’t respond. Unprofessional, poor communication, and an incomplete job. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Edited to add after response: You don’t even have the last name or address for our service call so how do you know who you’re talking to? NO ONE WAS AT OUR HOUSE ON THE 24th! We haven’t heard from you guys in weeks! You must have me confused with another customer bc the exact words were “ the freon is very low”... we even discussed our our a/c takes a type of freon that is no longer manufactured so it’s more expensive. I have the texts and emails and will happily forward them to anyone who wants further proof. Nice try though.

In March of 2018 our home warranty company sent them out to repair our ac. Ended up paying them to replace the whole unit because it was old and leaking- our home warranty company gave us a small credit toward the new unit. Now the reasons for 1 star: 1: Bandera electric had a heat pump rebate and needed some verification documents for me to submit to them. Quantum never provided it to me despite multiple requests. They are extremely hard to get ahold of and when I finally got through to someone they promised to get me the form but never did. And yes I tried following up with them, but again, they are pretty much impossible to reach and don’t return calls. 2: A few weeks after the unit was installed we started having issues with the outside unit not turning on and we tried contacting both Henry and the direct number to request service. After multiple voice mails and texts Henry finally responded and came out to look at it. He said the issue was because they had accidentally installed 2 filters in the air handler and it causes overheating issues or something. Unit was ok for a few more days and then it started having issues again. I tried reaching back out and never heard back despite multiple attempts. I ended up having to pay another company to come out and fix my brand new unit. Worst company ever.

Henry with Quantum Mechanical did a fantastic job. He was the technician that was dispatch through American Home Shield. Henry was very professional and knowledgeable about my A/C unit. He was on time and was very quick to diagnose and fix my unit's problem. If I had anymore problems with my A/C I would trust him to fix it.

Within the last 3 months I have not had a pleasant experience with the contractors American Home Shield has sent. I was some what skeptical about Quantum Mechanical, however dealing with Quantum Mechanical has exceeded my expectations. The technician arrived early, diagnosed the issue and corrected the problem. This has been the best experience to date. I would recommend Quantum Mechanical to anyone looking for an service on their Air Conditioner.
