We have worked with Barry for years & know he's the best there is! For a honest, quality, reliable HVAC work, you can't do better!
Was referred to Barry by a friend in the Clintonville Community Band three years ago. He was very honest in his assessment and repair of my A/C system at that time. This past summer I called him seven or eight times to get my A/C system charged. He never took the time to acknowledge my request. That was very disappointing, as I paid him promptly, and was appreciative of his time spent at my home. I can only assume that he didn't want to travel to Columbus for a service call. It would have been a simple matter for him to acknowledge my request with an explanation. For this reason I would not recommend Barry Wortman and Prestige Heating and Cooling in the future.
We got a quote from one of the big, local AC companies and the estimate was shockingly high. We called Prestige for a 2nd opinion. Barry came out the same day and gave us a great price range (less than half what we were quoted for the repair). He worked with the manufacturer to order the part (it was under warranty) and replaced it within a few days. He did great work and saved us a lot of money!
Barry was wonderful! He even squeezed me in on the weekend. My furnace was blowing cold air and it just so happened to be the coldest weekend in March. He came out as soon as he could and fixed me right up. Barry showed me it was a regular issue with many heating systems, and a quick and very inexpensive repair. He even showed me some tips on how to keep something like this from happening in the future, and answered my never-ending questions on all of my house systems. He helped me flush my water heater and reattached a vent that had come loose, just because I asked and was curious on how to do it. He was there and wanted to help. I highly recommend him for any HVAC job you have. I will be calling him again to do a check-up on my air conditioner for my yearly maintenance. Thanks again, Barry!
