My AC went out on Saturday night. My wife is nine months pregnant and it’s July. I first contacted another company who said my AC would have to be replaced. They were booked for two weeks. I called Prestige and talked with Coleman Hodges. He was very professional and said he would send a crew to my house Monday. They installed an entire AC unit and air handler in one day. The crew worked hard and were professional. Monday night my house was cooling and my wife was happy. I would definitely recommend this company. Coleman saved the day!

In the spring of 2020, I contacted Prestige to perform preventive maintenance on my HVAC Unit. Prestige sent their technician. He ran test on the outside Condenser unit, and then went up in the attic and poured a liquid inside the coil pipe to clear it out of any dirt. I asked the technician if he is going to test the Freon?? He said: “no need, the unit looks good”. He gave me a bill for $195, I paid it and he left. Few days later, the HVAC unit stopped working. I had no issues with my unit prior to Prestige Technician messing with it. All I wanted was to get preventive maintenance done. So, I called Prestige and told them my unit stopped working. They sent the same tech. He checked the outside Condenser unit and said: “it needs new capacitor and can replace it for $384.50”. I said OK. He replaced the capacitor. I paid him, and he left. After 6 hours with A/C running, it was not cooling. I called them again. They said will send someone tomorrow. Same tech showed up the next day and said before he even looks at anything: “I think your system is leaking Freon. If you want me to check the Freon, I have to charge you $125”. I replied, why you did not check it the first time you came for the maintenance? He said: “I didn’t see a reason to check it”. So, I had to agree because I did not want to be without AC during a warm day. After he ran a test, he found a leak in the evaporator coil (case) and said:” it’s better to replace the whole unit”. His manager Coolman called me later to discuss the price of a new unit. He recommended Rheem brand for $6,100.0 and agreed to credit me the $384.50 for the capacitor that did not fix the issue. Few days later, they installed the new unit, removed the capacitor from the old unit and took all parts with them. George the tech said:” I will make sure to have the office refund you for the capacitor.” They never did and refused to refund me despite my numerous calls asking for refund. You have to call them almost daily to find out what is going on with getting your ac fixed. They are slow with ordering, fixing and repairing your ac. It took 1 week to get our ac fixed, and when they got the part that afternoon, they called at 10pm to have someone out at 10:30pm to fix it!

This place is horrible. I paid 5k for a new unit. The next day, my ceiling was leaking. I called and they sent a technician out and diagnosed the problem. THEY FORGOT TO CLOSE A VALVE AND THEN WANTED TO CHARGE ME $200 FOR THEM HAVING TO COME OUT. I refused to pay it. Meanwhile i have water damage on my ceiling! I emailed pictures every time time they called to "settle my account". They stopped calling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
